Informative video. I've come across a 73 I'm interested in but just really got too many projects going on. I would definitely like to change the front if I get it.
Got a 74 , those front fenders are about 1 inch longer than the 72 hood is , removed those heavy shock absorber bumper things , Did the same thing to the rear bumper , shed about 50lb , had to add wire to the front passenger side turn signal , Added a 327 , 11 inch clutch, M-21 Muncie 4 speed trans and 12 bolt posi rear end .
Hi you actually have a video of you weighing the bumpers 68-72 vs 74 it was a lot of extra weight this video helped me convert my 74 to a 68-68 front number and 70 rear tail lights I think it’s 70 the reverse square in tiny in the middle of the tail light
Love the channel, a lot of help! I’m new to fixing up old cars and got my first nova! So the 68-72 subframes can go on a 73? I have a 73 and I think I’m better off getting a new subframe. Seen some on fb but mostly 68-72 and the 69 Camaro’s match up too I believe right?
I wanna convert the front of my 87 Nova to the 68 style. LMFAO!!! I thought the engineers were on some serious drugs for how they fucked up the 73-74 Nova front, and rear ends, not to mention the quarter window, but it turns out they were some hate filled bastards for putting the Nova name on a Toyota.

No 209......I do not want to change the front of my SWEET 74 Nova to look like the front of a 68-72. I like the front of my Sweet 74 NOVA exactly the way it is. Any questions?
I have a 74 and the only front bumper brackets I see available online are 72 front brackets. Will those brackets line up with the 73 bumper? Just so I can avoid drilling
No. The 73 bumpers and brackets are totally different than the 72. Hour best bet is to find someone on a nova group on Facebook that has a set of 73 brackets.
Lol. Yeah well you’ll need the whole front clip. I know the front clip sheet metal is all different from the Chevy but not sure how much interchanges between the BOP cars.
@@Shop209 I like the Ventura nose, but if I had a Nova I would want the early 68 front end instead of the less pretty 74 nose... then I would put a Pontiac in it.
