I want to try this new version so bad, but I still have a full sunscreen and I'm trying to be more conscious about consuming beauty products. Hopefully very soon!
@@FIFII Agreed. But I appreciate and respect a company that fully acknowledges their mistakes and takes corrective action immediately. They issued a transparent statement and apology, provided refunds, and came back with a seemingly new and improved formula that has proof of its stated efficacy. A lot of companies would rather pretend like nothing happened, hoping that people will forget and move on, than do what Krave did. Once I finish my sunscreen I'm willing to try Krave's new product. Their cleansers are solid, so I'm pretty excited for this sunscreen.
@@RinLaHarlequin I 100% agree. Even more so because it wasn’t Krave’s fault since it was the independent testing which failed. If you outsource something (which clearly many in the industry did) you cannot be solely responsible for any blunders. And in that respect Krave’s response has been commendable.
The walking shot of everyone was really cute! Glad this new one is still relatively affordable and still has the great texture. This new launch really shows how brands can learn and evolve and that’s refreshing.

Finally, I have been anticipating this day since the original BTS discontinuation! Krave Beauty could have rushed a V2 sunscreen, but the fact that they have taken 2 years to settle on formulation, is another example that shows the lengths they are willing to go to achieve a high quality product. What an amazing brand. This was an awesome video to accompany a product launch!
I am so happy BTS is back! I bought one for my daughter and I. I have oily/combo skin and she has dry/sensitive skin but we both love this sunscreen. Congrats 🎉

The old beet the sun was the only chemical sunscreen that didn’t flare up my rosacea. Disappointed that this new version is using the filters that are already in all the sunscreens available in the US. I guess I’ll have to wait a few years until they make another sunscreen.
Since they are formulating more I guess one for filters they use in Korea will be done, although they can't sell those as sunscreen. I'll wait and see if they do one for the Korean market.

Hi Liah, I love your matcha cleanser but GBR and the Pat moisturiser did not work for me, they dried my skin out for some reason. Based on that do you think this sunscreen will suit my skin?
Video about safety of sunscreens would be so appreciated. Recently I am worried about the claims that certain widely used ingredients in sunscreens can be cancerogenes. I also read that using sunscreens with vitamin c cerums may turn certain common ingredients to toxic. It is all so confusing. I want to protect my skin but I obviously don't want to poison myself.
Just curious because I love all of this! When you’re talking about changing up the formals do you go in with specific ingredients you want and now it’s just figuring out the right ratios or are you playing around with different ingredients and ratios?
I'm a HUGE FAN of the serum and kale-AHA but the first version of beet the sun broke me out so I'm a bit skeptical to try the 2.0 but, I love the transparency so I might consider trying this one out in the future maybe

I'm high mantenance, lol. I cannot use Titanium Dioxide and I'm super sensitive to Niacinamide. Happy to see that neither of these are in this product! (At least as far as I can tell.)

Thank you for your transparency and for taking the time to do this right. The fact that you guys gave me a full refund for the first version, I think it’s only right that I repurchase 2.0. I also love that you guys made the bottle more malleable and easier to squeeze. Can’t wait to try it out!

In independent testing, it fell significantly short of its SPF claims and was discontinued nearly 2 years ago. If you're still using the old formula, are you certain that the expiry is okay?
Liah, amazing video! I'm a huge supporter of yours, I've been here since Krave first launched with the oat moisturizer and it has continued to be my staple! But this launch...I'm honestly surprised by the formulation. I was very excited when you guys announced Beet the shield's relaunch but feel really underwhelmed by its active ingredients and low SPF. There's already a gambit of amazing Asian sunscreens (and some US sunscreens) with higher SPF and lower cost. I know you guys are trying to match US standards (amazing rigorous testing you guys have done!) but to use subpar active ingredients when there's clearly better ones out there I personally feel it doesn't match Krave's fundamental message of less is more.
hi hi! I totally understand where you're coming from. If only we had access to the new gen filters, that would've been amazing. But for this one, our number one priority was creating a reliable, verified sunscreen that are approved by the US FDA. The access to the newer filters were something that was outside our control as we developed and manufactured this to be US compliant.
Hi Marie! Never say never, but I think the US FDA will be able to approve tinosorb soon actually! Hoping that will open the gate for all other filters to enter the US market
