If you've been tuning in the last couple weeks, you'll have seen the first two parts of this Houseplant Home Tour. Now it's time for the next episode, which is the bedroom!
(It wasn't since Episode 23 many, many moons ago when I did an Indoor Houseplant House Tour, so I thought it was high time to have a 2018 tour, now that the house construction is (nearly) done. That's right. Construction is NOT complete, but I got the house somewhat in working order.

We just purchased a house. Finally tons of room for plants! I have two huge garden windows in both bathrooms. My bedroom has two skylights. Tons of light! Anyway I’m learning a lot from your videos. Your apartment is very beautiful, a true retreat! Thank you for your knowledge!

Wow that home sounds amazing! Congrats! Would love to have big garden lights and sky lights in my home. I am working with 2 mediums size and 2 small size windows in my tiny house haha. But I have a video showing how I deal with that and still have tons of awesome plants.

Oh wow those maidenhair are beautiful. Never seen a big leaf one before in England, definitely have to look out for them! I rescued my first maidenhair fern from a shop - she only had a frond left.. and a year of caring and she's glorious as ever! Love them so much, they're definitely tough fighters

Thank you so much for making the time to film all these great and informative videos Summer Rayne. My fiancé and I have over 50 plants in our little apartment and perhaps another 50 or more on our balcony. We have learnt so much from your videos which is actually really helping him whilst he completes he horticulture course. The only plant we are struggling with is our Pilea (we have watched your video already 🙂). Hopefully she will get a little happier. Thank you again all our love from Sydney.

I had my ‘Calidora’ Alocasia as a houseplant last winter, it is in the greenhouse now. That Plantz website is awesome!! The fact that the plants offered are big is super cool! I can’t wait until spring!

I've always been fascinated with this as a child. I remember in the mid 80's when my mama had plants with extremely long vines and she had them all over the walls and ceiling. It was cool as hell. As an adult now interested in this I'm wondering does this bring an influx of spiders 🕷️ and alot of other bugs and insects.

She uses many methods to water her plants. One of which are sub irrigated systems that uses bottom up watering.

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I grew up in the Appalachians on the VA/NC line so when I saw towards the end a familiar friend, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, it was a happy moment. I now live in the far west Texas desert. Most of the familiar plants I grew up with will not grow here in the very arid environment. What I've done is look up those families of familiar plants to see if there is a desert relative. Parthenocissus heptaphylla is what I found. It's just now leafing out and I was so excited (as I always am during the Spring). It's like welcoming back friends that have gone away for awhile. Thank you for that.

If I could guess, she or the builder just took wood, made boxes & put them on the wall. If you want it to look aesthetic, its a lot more difficult than my explanation. Since plants are becoming trendy, I've been seeing lots of planters like that online & in popular furniture stores in USA. Your comment is at least a year old but if you still want, I could probably send you some inspiration.. maybe from my Etsy wishlist or something. I plan on making one of this big wall planters too😅

@@trulyauthentic1980 okay so I just looked a bit closer and it looks like she could've just used pockets which are cheaper but she definitely used boxes & pots. Search up "pocket wall planter" or "living wall" and you should find everything you need!👍🏽👍🏽 Enes Yilmazer toured a mansion that really reminds me of this house & has a living wall as well, I feel like its worth the watch. "Bali inspired crazy modern home with fire and water" the wall is mainly shown at 28:30. "West Elm Ponce City Market" also has a pretty nice plant wall that I haven't seen anywhere else.

Another note on the Coleus. In my twenties while living in SF I bought one that was just absolutely gorgeous but doomed to die a horrible death the moment I walked out with it. Why? Because I didn't have a clue about how to maintain it. I realized too late that to maintain it's wonderful bush appearance, it needs to be pinched. Now I know better in my fifties. Perhaps that is why folks don't purchase them as much as they should. The fear.

Beautiful as always, these videos not only introduces plants it also is a great interior design video, where you can use plants to decorate or use them alone. Please give us a better shot at interior design. Esp bathroom, i have never seen a beautiful mirror like yours. Or for example your hammock and the wood. Im a hippie and love love love your space. The chaya is papaya. You can eat both its raw leaves and the cooked ones. The raw leaves are quite bitter. This plant is a mosquito repellent.

And can you please do a video on your pet chicken, because I really don't understand how a chicken live in an apartment? Don't they smell and poop everywhere? I think that living wall is going to need much more light to stay healthy and plants compact. You could put some LED floodlights over them. Lighting is endless on ways...but much more is the idea.
