One has to drive/ride in a car like this to really appreciate it. They’re are unbelievable especially to say someone born later than 1990’s. I can still remember driving down the highway 100 mph and it felt and sounded like 30 mph. Not exaggerating

Your opinion about the wire wheels is ok and I see where you’re coming from however, sometimes less is more and that car doesn’t need a pearl neckless , it’s wonderful as it is.

Wire wheel covers are horrible to keep clean and shiny. I have the original forged aluminum wheels on my 1975 Mark IV. They look great and are wonderfully easy to keep clean and shining.

My dad has Mercury Cougar XR7 not much different than this but all white on white has 10,000 miles in showroom condition all original never restored. Still has the old tires on it.

Beautiful car, but please keep it stock, and as original as possible, and if you do this, there’s a much better chance of the car increasing in value, and more attractive to a collector.

Flemings Ultimate Garage Many thanks. Yes I gathered that this beautiful car must have been sold quite some time ago. But the same comment I made would apply to any other classic car. Keep it stock, and as original as is possible. It’s sacrilege to take away or alter the original factory specification on some of these old classics. When I look at a car for sale, and see that someone has for instance put 20 inch alloy wheels on it, I lose interest immediately. Sale, Cheshire, England.

There were a few more options besides a moon roof , power mini vent windows , a few radios , lumbar drivers seat , trailer towing package , different rear ends ,gold heated glass front and back, sure track brakes, recliner passenger seat was a option in 1976 ,Aluminium deep dish rims stunning , the passenger outside mirror was a option in 1976 but standard in 1975 ,there are a few more just can't think of them right now. again MRS. I never understood why everyone says they were big, slow, sluggish boats? I have an all stock 70K original mile ‘74 Mark IV. From a dead stop with only 1/3 throttle it just dusts every new car at the stop and just leaps ahead of everyone! In fact, I have a 2013 V8 Silverado and my Mark feels like it has double the power and speed of my truck! Never understood that.

My brother in law had one of these back in the day. I was 10 years old then, and remember being amazed at the number of speakers. If I remember correctly it had 6. Also it seemed to coast forever when it got to highway speeds because it was so heavy. Loved that car, great video, cheers,!

The chrome front grille was taken from Rolls Royce. Lee Iacoca told his designers he wanted a T-Bird with a Rolls front end. The fake spare tire bulge in the trunk is meant to look like a Continental kit which mounted the spare tire upright on the back bumper.

I went to my prom in 1977 in a car just like that but it was Green with green leather interior. We got six people in that thing with room to spare. My buddy's dad almost didn't let us take it for that either because it only had 4K miles on it but we broke in the stereo with Fleetwood Mac's Rumors 8-track and Aerosmith Rocks.

He almost got me with the undercarriage there's no way in West hell did that car has been sitting and that gas tank is not Rusted or anything under the bottom of that car is not rusted. It is an exceptional vehicle don't get me wrong but it's been restored. I have a 91 Cadillac Brougham that sat in a garage for 14 years and most of the undercarriage was rusted, brake lines had to be replaced from front to back, interior was cracked.

Sad to say, you are wrong. I bought my 1975 Mark IV with 97K miles in 2002 and it had/has NO cracks in the leather. Had been treated with mink oil by the original owner. I use the leather conditioner we use for the furniture in our sitting room. As for the under carriage, a friend of mine had a 1973 Mark IV from Sacramento, California. You can eat off the under carriage. It was all original. Not restored.

I don't know why,but I remember my father came home with two identical white on white with red stripes cartier editions he bought from the local Ford dealership for 500 apiece. This was in 1985. I inherited them I loved the ride.Wish I had kept one of them. That 460 was a torque monster.He could always wheel and deal for a nice car when we needed one.

@@Flemingsclassics Yes they are. Just bought a 2020 Black Label Nautilus. Lincoln is working very hard to make their way back into the luxury market. Uber quiet, and rides more like a Continental than a SUV. Of all the so called luxury SUV manufacturers, only Lincoln seems to get what luxury means. Their new line of SUV's have a sport mode, but it takes a back seat to the emphasis of sound and ride dampening.

I think the body color is exactly the tone given by the glass and seats cream inside. In other words, it is mix of greenish of glass vision stand from exterior. And color of body car is this hue. And vynil roof is a 1 tone darker green-grey of vody. My perception. Greetings from Santiago, CL SouthAmerica.

Had one of these, same color. The 460 had no balls, sucked gas like it grows on trees, but it was quiet, smooth, and sexy.

Have one. Do not complain about the gas milage. It is by far better than my previous 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 454cui. Almost as good as my 1973 Cadillac Coupe dé Ville 472cui.

@6:13 that is not a canister for the evap system. It is a resonator to minimize air cleaner hoot. Headliner? Not going to sag because it uses bows. Guy doesn’t know Fords/Lincolns.

Except for a few minor things under the hood that car is perfect. Unfortunately it's a mid 70's powerless gas hog of a boat. With the typical mid 70's puke green color inside and out. I bet it gets 8-10 miles per gallon. I know of a guy that has two of these, just as nice which he has been trying to sell for over a year now. Incredible cars yet he can't give them away, nobody wants them. If it was a 69/70 model and in a different color, that's another thing.
