Hi friends! It's August and I've got one epic FO (you know what it is, right?) and have moved on to some other projects, so let's catch up! I've also got SSOY MAL prizes to award for July!

Drop Spindle Project - I don't have project pages set up for this. Maybe if I keep working on it I'll add them. The batt was from KnitSpinFarm's batt club; the tiny Turkish spindle is from Knittyandcolor though I'm not sure they sell them online, it might be only and in-person event thing?

Yay for finishing the blanket in time; it turned out wonderfully. I'm glad you had such a good visit with your grandson and that you could be together on such a significant anniversary as a support for one other. Sending good wishes your way and the hope for a better year ahead. I love the combo spin so far and can't wait to see what it becomes.

Thanks, Carol! It was a really nice, serendipitous event having him here right at that time. He's such a wonderful guy! I'm definitely close to getting the combo spin all spun up! I think one more bobbin of singles should take care of the rest of the fiber.

Here’s an idea !!! A hat for grandson: easy colorwork, stripes, or Vertical Garter ala Wooly Wormhead (in the green & gold) to “match” the blanket! Glad you enjoyed the last few weeks! And hugs to you as well.

Yes, he'll definitely get a hat! Though he could get a hat every year he's in college and I'd probably still have yarn left over! LOL

Now wait- Bill finds it strange that you enjoy drop-spindling when you have a wheel, but he loves to go places on a motorcycle even though he has a perfectly good car? And sleep outside when he has a house? Cmon Bill, you can get this!😉
