sir as you know that the shear crack is not due to shear that is du to diagonal tensile stress because the crack is inclined .now why not we consider that diagonal tensile stress in our calculation? if we consider the shear force which is vertical force and shear crack is inclined then why not we consider the inclined sectional area of the stirrups which will be more effective as it is perpendicular to the crack.
