It is 4pm, I am semi-blind from a migraine, and there is an owl (at least I hope it's an owl...) absolutely losing its mind in a tree across the road. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your stories, especially when I get these stupid headaches and can't see to do anything.
For the last story: I am a local in Arizona, and have been in Flagstaff many times throughout my life. I intend to go there more in the future. However, my friend recently told me (with little detail) that her dad's coworker had gone on a camping trip up there once. He went missing and was unable to be reached by phone. Apparently they found his body in pieces a month after his disappearance. I firmly believe that there must be something there.
Hey Darkness, I just want to say thanks for the stories you narrate; I listen on here all the time and you've gotten me through some dark times in my life...don't stop doing what you do
I am in that situation myself at the moment as I have lost my Beautiful Mother who died suddenly from terminal cancer and l also lost my Partner who was 43yo and died from a massive heart attack and some days I just curl up on the bed and listen to DP's stories and sometimes I listen to him tell the sun comes up. He saves my sanity.😉😔💔
I extremely appreciate it when you give a warning for a story that depicts violence towards animals. I'm sure others who have ptsd over something that they have seen in their past can understand.
Another set of new stories-wonderful, I’m settling down for the evening and having dinner. I’m thinking about sending you a true story about my experience with night creature when I lived In Florida-if I can write it well enough to be read.
Hi Darkness! You are my *favorite* scary tales narrator! I love listening while I'm at work doing my computer work. I can never get enough! I hope you're doing well ❤
Thanks again for another stellar set of stories. You keep me company every night while I work 10p-6a at a hotel. Can't wait for more spooky hotel work stories! Almost caught up on the past 6 years of your narrations. Oh, what will I do then?
Awesome! I love how that mountains of madness intro reminded of the famous H.P. Lovecraft story, I'm sure that's exactly what Darkness intended and thanks a lot for the new upload goo sir and I'm sure it's gonna be a great episode! :D
“We only rob dealers and corporate businesses because we’re honorable.” They may be less than ethical, but at least you get something for your money, which is less than I can say for a thief.
Those were especially terrifying. Story 3 was one of the best. I thought most cryptids and paranormal events happened between 12:00 midnight and 3:00 (the witching hour).
Cryptids can appear whenever and where-ever they want. Besides, can you imagine a creature checking his watch and saying, "just five minutes to go before I can scare this guy..."
Not sure if they just occur at that time, like the other commenter said I don’t think they’re checking a clock to make sure they do whatever they do at those times. It’s supposed to be a time frame where the veil between this world and other realms are the least thick. Like they could be around anytime but it’s easier for humans to see these things during this time. So a lot of people do spell work and things like that during this time, as they think they can see and get contact with otherworldly things more easily
Hey dark, it's been a while I haven't been really active in the horror community recently 😟 but just know that I've always loved your work and you're so great at narrating and i just want you to know i will never ever forget about you are these horrer stories or this channel 🙂
This is the first time i have ever left a comment and in 55 lol Just wanted to say thanks for what u do love to listen on long drives helps keep me awake. I have listened to others but after you no one else gets it right. So thankyou for what u do and good luck for the groth u deserve of ur channel happy hauntings!! Chris from down under
I am gonna say that you, my friend Darkness Prevails, make me have the best (worst) dreams ever! Mind you, I do love them, and I actually wake up and talk to my husband at random times in the middle of the night, but that's what I love about your stories! A decent amount is actually realistic. That's my opinion.
If a creature said “ I see you” I would say it back as creepy as I could. These things get my blood boiling especially when they go after innocent children and animals.
In my opinion on the aswang, I believe it's power is similar to that of a skinwalker. Like the skinwalker, an aswang can also shapeshift into almost any animal, but in most cases as a cat, a.bird, a pig, or whatever animal is common in that area. While in animal form there will always be something not right in what they look like, like the eye colors would be wrong or the size would be too big. On why creatures like the aswang would prefer infants or fetus, I believe that's because the bones of an infant would be softer and not because it would prolong their powers or anything. Also, you may have misread the word "suya", i think the author meant "kuya"
S3 sounds like a ghoul, but dosen't act like one, since their said to be territorial. Nor does it act like a crawler, but I don't know that much about them.
I was thinking that it was a very lost, starving wendigo. Assuming they react to starvation like people do, it would explain the erratic rage and unnecessary violence.
These stories only make me feel more confident about my arsenal of guns and ammo. If something ever came on my property trying to mess with me I would probably scare the thing because I would act so damn crazy the thing would be confused as to why I had no fear and was acting worse then it was. 😂
umm does anyone have any explanation for suki's story and what it could have been? because i cannot imagine how terrifying it must have been to have a spirit screaming in your ear
A werewolf in La Clusaz, I've never heard a single howl in more than 20 years and my chalet is in an isolated hamlet overlooking Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz. There are foxes, rabbits, marmots, ibexes, some claim to have seen wolves from time to time... never heard of something bigger or scarier. The Police would have never told them it could have been a bear, the last one was killed in 1937.
Well its time for my darkness fix lol its 12:27a.m in NC right & im finally laying down n letting my mind get lost in this video. Thanks Darkness Prevails 🖤👾👻👽☠️⚰️
Glad the felon in the "He saved me" story admitted he has anger issues, multiple felonies that are active, and carries a firearm at all times.(Most likely illegal possession) What an idiot. Don't let your vanity get in the way of storytelling.
I was thinking that Nicholas from the story "Bravery Is For the Foolish" seriously did sound as if he was bragging about the rich luxurious life he got to enjoy(and was blessed to experience)because I was trying to give him the benefit of a doubt waiting to hear how him taking trips on private jets, etc., actually had anything to do with the alleged creature situation? Tbh, he could've left all of that information out of the story but he probably gets some kind of validation out of letting ppl know that's how he lives? Ijs
That story has too many inconsistencies. First he talks about having a handgun under his seat. Then he talks about having a sawed off single shot shotgun in the back. Then he says he has a 380(handgun) in his glove compartment or whatever. Then he says he has an AK in the back. It legit doesn’t make sense. Edit: not to mention I highly doubt a felon is going to be driving around with 3-4 guns in the car. Story is super confusing and makes no sense.
@@cameronarndt230as a person who works with felons I can tell you they absolutely have gun and don’t really care…once you’ve decided to be a law breaker why does it matter if the law says you can’t have firearms? The story sounds embellished and untrue, a way for a person to sound “cool”
Glad the dude had some weapons to defend himself and his dog. Despise the fact that he has them illegally, being a felon and all. That being said, nothing like mag dumping a cryptid in the face with a AK.
Nothing like an AK47 mag dump in your vehicle…I call BS but they are stories so I don’t really care. As someone who has been in law enforcement most of my adult life I can tell you the absolute last thing you’d want to do is empty a mag inside a vehicle. Why wouldn’t you just keep the windows closed and keep driving?
"Something crawling on my roof" sounds like bs. You're gonna tell me they never even thought about dialing 911 or the local sheriff? And if they live in some isolated countryside, they most definitely would have at least a firearm, or a few. Maybe they live in some country where it's illegal to own firearms.
I love these podcasts but it’s annoying hearing the same story again and again. Especially in your story specific compilations such as the national parks ones. ‘With the fire fighters’ great story just have heard it to many times..
I would skip the compliations then. Those are for a specific audience (some folks wait for big comps of their favorite topics). I always put "COMPILATION" in the title for those so it's easy to skip.
Lol manananggals are just a type of aswang, not equal to aswang. So many misinformation here too omg, other countries' folklore isn't really your thing :/
