I played a 1v1 ranked yesterday that almost took 6 hours....

@droneshotsantoine1805 that's absolutely insane. Didn't you run out of resources after an hour though? There's nothing left but farms then and trade if you got it.

@@Daniel_deez_nutz I will explain what kind of match I played. I played as the Russians and my enemie as the English. We're both gold so not great at the game yet. I think the Russians are generally better than the English. Now it happened that I was surrounded by keeps. I could no longer navigate the map because there were only keeps next to my village. This was only later in the game, my matches are usually late game because I am not always good at early aggression with heavy knights. He was able to build so many keeps because he mined a lot of stone during the game, and not only that, he also spent all the gold he earned from trading and mining on stone. I didn't realize he built all those keeps along my village. Since we had been at it for so long, there was no more wood available in the map, so it was impossible for me to build bombards or trebuchets in large numbers to demolish the keeps. Moreover, he had a lot of springals in front of his goalkeepers to sell. The only thing I had left was 60 villagers on farms around my town halls that yielded a huge amount of food because as a Russian with a high bounty you get more food income. I sold all the food I earned for gold. 100 food in exchange for 10 gold. With that I could make sufficient mended arms and especially crossbowman. Strangely enough, he was stupid enough not to build magonels, he only came to invade my village with spearman and heavy knights. I had 140 army among my own keeps, mainly with crossbowman, so he didn't do anything. He couldn't get through. This went on forever until he finally won with rams etc. I don't know why I didn't surrender sooner, but I thought it was a waste of time to give up. I still had a little hope. The stats showed that I had 4480 kills and 1902 deaths. So I had killed a lot more army than he did, because I had long range army. I had the misfortune that there was only 1 market on the map, which he controlled with his defensive landmark and an additional keep. Because of this I no longer had any gold income.
