8 Great Features They REMOVED in Forza Horizon 5! 

*This IS NOT meant to be a hate video in ANY WAY* - It's just a list of features the old Forza games had which have been removed in Horizon 5. I'm not demanding Forza add these features into the current game - Obviously this is way too much to be reintroduced into FH5 so don't take this video as a "Wishlist" it's just a compilation of features which have been removed... I don't know why I even have these disclaimers, people ignore them anyways loool

Horizon 5 actually has both a Dam and a Golf Course. The Dam is just to the right of Mulege and the Golf Course is over by the big hotel on the western coast.

Honestly I miss how if you were playing Offline with Drivatars on the map you could beep your horn at them and they'd instantly join you in a convoy and you could drive arounr the map with them I did it all the time in Horizon 3 and it helped make things feel alive like I was acutally playing with some real people

I think they should bring the modern city and airport in Forza Horizon V. And they should add some more vehicles like the Peugeot 508 PSE, the BMW M3 G80, etc.

Nights in FH5 feels more like early mornings or late afternoons. Definetly not nights.

I think whats missing too is the feature which fh2 had. Back then the AI drove through fields and everything. It was fun to drive with them or ram them into trees (xD). Sadly this isn‘t in fh5

I totally agree with you about the city. In Forza horizon 3 I would spend HOURS cruising around the city, with tons of people around and lots of traffic and ai. With Forza horizon 5 I spend less than 5 minutes on the game before I get bored, there’s just no breathtaking map features or skyscrapers. It’s so disappointing to see the downfall of the main cities in horizon games, even the city in Forza Horizon 4 felt like a vibe.

What Microsoft allows them to add, which will be based on Gamepass Subscription Metric Projections above all other elements, what they are allowed to do at a PEGI 3/ESRB E Rating as Microsoft has now all but mandated them as per its Corporate Policy for the Future of the Franchise, what the Car Companies will allow them to Add, and of course, what is going to cause the least amount of Fracas from what, I think we can all agree as Members, is an Increasingly Toxic Fanbase :( My Views. 1. Snow was Removed as Player Metric Numbers absolutely Nosedived in Winter, as, indeed, FH4 overdid it, Covering the whole Map in 2 foot of Snow every Third Week made the Game basically Unplayable for 1 Week in every 4, it was not fun. Why would Playground bring back a feature that made the Player Metrics Nosedive? A good Compromise, if FH6 does use F-Tech, which is capable of handling... *The Whole World* at a 1;1 Scale (its a Reworked version of the Flight Simulator Engine, given it was Co-Developed by Turn 10 along with Asobo) so should easily be able to handle a map of a good 1000KM2 or so, is to have a "Snowline" in the Mountains to ensure that there is *always* Snow, Year round, above a Certain Height, and with a Couple of Big Lakes up there, think like in Switzerland, that Freeze over for 1 week in Winter. That might be a good way to compromise, nice weather across most of the Map, but a Snowline where there is Permanent Snow above that Point? 2. I disagree there. I think the Road Layout is illogical. the Placements of Specific Biomes are Beyond Confusing, I think it is very Poorly Laid Out, I find it Barren and Lifeless, almost Depressing, Especially in the Deserts, the Temples are a *Massive* Stumbling Block for Me, to the Point they have Triggered *Literal* Nightmares, I find Several of the Design Decisions (Such as making over Half the Road up the Volcano Dirt!) to be Inexplicable, and the whole Map just feels so Alien to Me that they may as well have set the Game on Mars, it sets Me on Edge (they should have set the Game in Spain IMO) , the Map is also far too Big for its Content Level, and feels very Sparse on Content, 90 Races is not enough, the Game needed 150 Plus. Indeed, the Runway is Epic, but, why set it in an Abandoned, Hideously Ugly, Depressing, Abandoned Aerodrome that has been abandoned since the early 1990's, and going on Rami's Dialogue, has a Very Dark Past! A Modern, Steel and Glass, Airport with Airliners, Little Private Jets, Gleaming Hangers, Etc, would have been more Glamorous and a Lot more Fun. FH6 needs a 1 Mile Runway Drag Strip at a Modern, Luxury, Airport I feel. With Planes that can Taxi, Take off, and Land :) I can see why FH5 did not do a Modern City, Surfers Paradise causes *Severe* Performance issues on base Xbox One and on One S, they are down to 10FPS there, they chug like a Badly overwhelmed N64, So I do not expect to see another Modern City until/Unless the Series, Hopefully with FH6, goes "Series and High End PC only" and therefore will have the Processing Power to do a Big, Modern, City (as well as an ancient and Pretty one for those of us who Just don't like Modern Cities and find them Depressing (Me) , with, say, a 1000KM2 Map there would be more than enough room for *Two* Cities and still keep the Map mostly Rural!) without the System Chugging to a Halt. indeed, the Construction Site and the Timbermill were Awesome for Stunts! as were the Docks in FH2! Yeah, that Dam in FH5 is a Real Let down, it just feels like a little Bridge, You have to go into Photo Mode to see, no, its an actual Dam, its nothing on the Maroondah Dam, which was a Proper Massive thing You could see from Halfway across the Map! Yeah, the Golf Course in FH2 made the Map feel Classy, there is one in 5, but, its very overgrown and feels "Abandoned" :( its also far too Small, more mini-putt than PGA Links. Disappointment. 3. As I have Pointed out elsewhere , Starting in Low Powered Cars and Pushing Grind is just Going to make Players smell MTX and they are going to Turn the other way, GT7 artificially over Inflating its Grind to *Blatantly* push MTX has broken the Camels Back. Grind is now completely Unacceptable in Racing Games, so Starting the Player off in a Corrado is a Massive Sales Loser Now as Players are just going to assume the Game is going to Try and Force MTX on them and will just uninstall it and get a Refund :( I do agree that allowing Players to Start in a Brand New C8 Corvette is absolutely Ludicrous however! Its Overkill! it may, however, Be good for the Gamepass Metrics... So I say, Playground, for FH6, should go for Middle Ground, give the Player a Choice of Cars that are still Fast, and are Still Desirable, but are also now Out of Production and are on the *Used* Market, meaning Players still get a Fast and Desirable Starter Car, but its also one that has a Few Years under its Wheels and is therefore Affordable, Say allow them chose between an FK2 Generation Honda Civic Type R (F/F), a Lotus Elise 111S - that's the one with the Rover K Engine, not the Toyota 2ZZGE. (M/R), a 997.2 Generation Carrera GTS with a Manual Box (R/R), a Nissan 350/ 370 Fairlady Z (F/R) or a GD3 "Hawkeye" Subaru Impreza WRX STI RB320/ Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX MR FQ 360 (F/4) Fast and Desirable, but also between, depending on Car, £15,000 to £50,000 on the used Market...and that is for a Low Mileage One Owner Minter! so Also Affordable and Plausible! 4. Missing Cars is a Combination of Licencing Issues and Playground cutting Cars Out as Microsoft has forced a Live Services Model (most likely to maximise the Gamepass Metrics) into a Game with *Nowhere Near* Enough Content to Support one, meaning content has to be Recycled as Padding to give them Game enough content to Support Live Services. FH6 can only cure that by *Removing* the Live Services Model and either going back to the old Paid DLC Model, or going back to "Sold Complete on Day 1" (which is My preference, all 1000+ Cars in the Install Files from Day 1, nothing Else to Pay and No Live Services! just buy em from the Autoshow) but, would MS allow them to do that? The Fast and Furious Licence at the Moment, IIRC, currently Belongs to Namco Bandai and they may not be willing to share it given that they have made an absolute Shambles of it, with both Crossroads (one of the Worst Games ever made, leading to SMS first being Acquired by Codemasters, and then Re-absorbed into Evil Alliance :( meaning Project CARS 4 is most likely instead going to come out, as, well, the Game Project CARS 3 really should have been Titled: "NFS SHiFT 3" , will be nice to have SHiFT back however :) ) and Rise of Sh!fter being absolute Bobbins! and Playground, would, basically, show them up! MS will need to Convince Universal to let Forza have the Licence back to bring those Cars back to the Festival. 5. With the PEGI 3 Rating they are Limited on the Number of Pedestrians they can add, as they can only place them in Areas where there is NO WAY the Player Car Can Access them. Now, the "Ghost town" feel of Guanajuato does come somewhat from the Fact there is very Few Areas where the Player cannot Access. FH6 can easily sort that out by making the City Similar to the One in FH3 where they have a Lot of Areas where the Players Car just *Cannot* Access, where they could, indeed, add a lot of pedestrians, and the Numbers could easily be kept High via the much higher Processing power available by going with "Series and High End PC Only" Support. 6. Yes! Road Trips are a Massive Part of Car Culture, and Really bought both the Festival and the Holiday Atmosphere of FH2 to Life! and allowed them to make a Game that was Perfectly Family Friendly (PEGI 3, I think it got E-10 in the US due to the Music However) and yet was also a *real* Car enthusiasts Game. I agree, FH6 I feel should have You start as a No One, Not even *Invited* to the Festival, You are just some local Club Scene (Think 750 Motor Club) Racer who, after winning an MX5 Cup Race, Gets Paid to Drive one of the Hypercars to the Festival, ends up winning an Impromptu Race with the other Drivers who are Delivering the other Hypercars, and ends up being Invited into the Festival, *then* works they way up to becoming the Director by Winning everything, and even Beating "Superstar" in the Finale! of course they will have to keep the "Street" Attitude out to keep it a 3 Rating, but, as GRiD Legends Proves, it is Possible, by keeping the Attitude out, to do a "Zero to Hero" Story and Just about keep a 3 Rating. 7. I also agree, they need to bring back Fans for FH6 , so Players can Upgrade a Festival, where the Festival starts as well, a Few Barriers, very basic Amenities.. (The local River provides the water for the Washing!) a small Stage, all in the middle of a Field if its an Outpost , or a small but Professional Festival (like FH4's) if its a "Main" Site, and slowly Upgrades into basically The Goodwood Festival of Speed as the Player gets more and more Fans. I agree, that needs to come back! 8. Time of Day Adjustment, with the Ability to Lock the Game to a Certain Time or Certain Weather Set, to even be able to Chose the Level of Time Compression, like in Burnout Paradise Remastered, would be Epic, but it would also really Foul up the Live Multiplayer, so I think, Yes, it should be added to FH6, but under the Caveats that it *only* works in Offline Single Player (Multiplayer locked to Server Controlled Seasons and a 2 Hour in Game Day, 12 to 1 Compression, with Server Controlled Weather) and the Player can only Change the Compression Ratio until they become the Festival Director, and *then* they can Alter the Seasons, Weather, and even lock the Game to a Certain time of Day. Once again I completely agree with u on everything that you said and also FH1, FH2 and FH3 did things right in some aspects unlike FH4 and even FH5 and I really don't mind snow but I don't want a whole week of it but if they did it like blizzard mountain then I wouldn't complain about it and also the FH5 map could have more areas and whatnots in it and also if I'm not mistaken FH5 does have a golf course and I'm not saying that FH5 golf course is better than the older horizon games and finally why isn't there an armada of rally,dakar,and baja vehicles for in FH5?

Another feature that felt lacking in Horizon 5 in terms of atmosphere is the summery feel that horizon 2 and 3 had. The upbeat soundtrack combined with the summery visuals made those games special. 5's soundtrack isn't as good as the earlier games to me.

You forget the removed feature from Forza Horizon 1, where on places where races were located, there was a registration hub where you registrate for a race, but since FH2 they were removed and there are just empty places on race locations.

I personally think Japan would be an amazing map for the next one because of the such vast culture. From the big and bustling cities to the pristine and calm temples. Considering that the next map will most likely be bigger, I think having the northern most part of the map covered in snow. Though this is highly asked for, the chances of it happening is unlikely. Take Fortnite for example, nearly everyone want the OG map back but they won’t unless the player count severely drops, they’ll use it as almost a fail-safe to regain players. Trust me, as much as I’m a kid, I know a few things about marketing.

Yes, start from Horizon 4, the modern feels is lost, that it almost completely lost in 5 Then the progression system, I'd thinking, if they gonna add a better progression, it should be.... Either give us custom festival site if we stay as director, or.... They can give us a character customization again, but this time the role is as a racer, as we try to prove the director, which is us from the past 3, 4, and 5 (I guess that'd work if we get shared save game) how worthy our new characters are.... Map features, I don't really think about it, since it should be normal for every map to have different map features, but dock can be added, since usually most area would have it Also I wanted race car, much like FH3, to go back here....

Reason why the convertible vehicles were removed in newer games was because the older models didn't have the ability to have the roof up. It was permanently down all the time and rain didn't exist in FH1 and before at that point. So in FH2 and onwards more rag or hard top roofed cars were added so rain didn't get inside the cars. This excludes the Aventador J for example since that Is a permanent roof down car.

FH5 feels dead in comparison to FH3. I think they removed pedestrians from FH because they did not want to be like GTA where you can run them over. I just want FH to be as close to reality as possible with the crazy stuff (like user created tracks) left as optional. Hopefully TDU:SC (now delayed due to dropping cross gen) brings that experience.

I'm still going to say it, the last two Horizons just lack the vibe and immersiveness. The games dont have a zing anymore which is sad to see. I can up to this day drive for hours in FH2 and completely forget time. I still just wish they would make a real FH2 remaster, like the exact same graphic style but with all the good new features and car list. I hope for a Horizon made from absolute car enthusiasts made to give other car enthusiasts the best experience possible and the newer titles lack that (and you can really feel it too). If they arent able to manage that in new games imma sadly just stick to FH2 or 3. And dont get me wrong they improved a TON of things in comparison to FH4 which was most likely the most bland Horizon in existence.

One thing i miss from FH3 was how you started as someone not *too* known, I found it kinda annoying how in FH5 you get called "superstar" all the time. Kinda ended the feeling of progression.

the thing i liked about fozohozo 3 is that you started off in a small area and as you leveled up festivals or set up new ones more events appeared and it naturally encouraged you to explore to get to those new sites. it made the map feel bigger than it really was because you explored smaller areas more fully. it felt like there were more events too as you unlocked them incrementally. in fozohozo 5 as soon as you set up an outpost you unlock every event of that type and realize there arent that many after all. that was my first reaction anyway. yeah there were perhaps too many championships in fozohozo 3 but at least some of the main campaigns events limited your car choice. car progression doesnt really matter when all of the ai will automatically find something that is equal to your car

I think most of these things are things that aren’t supposed to be in fh5 because fh5 is in Mexico, Mexico doesn’t get snow (except for on the volcano), and modern airports (Mexico is a developing country), and you need the 3 starter cars because one for road racing (corvette), one for dirt racing (bronco) and one for street racing (supra).

A thing that's quite disappointing are the cars Like in Forza Horizon 1 we had lots of car brands like Apollo,Gumpert,Radical,SSC and others but in the other games of forza I thought that it was gone

2:29 It's been 9 days so this has likely been mentioned already but there's a golf course in FH5 too. As for snow, I love driving in the snow and really miss it in FH5, but also understand why it isn't there. However you also kinda hit on my issue with it in FH4. It's not that the whole map was covered (as that makes sense) it's that it was exactly the same for a whole season. At least with the other three seasons there was a greater variety of weather types.

They are trying to keep with the weather of the country. FH3 is set in Australia we don't have snow in many places here. Blizzard Mountain DLC is actually based on a popular skiing destination called "Thredbo" but even Thredbo does not have snow 365 days if the year. It's actually only 4 months if the year with two of them (July August) being the best months where the ski resorts make most their cash. FH4 however is set in a small part of the UK to be more precise the locations are Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District (including Derwentwater), Ambleside and the Cotswolds (including Broadway), Bamburgh among others. During winter in the UK these places are cold, and covered in snow. FH5 is set in Mexico where only has snow in high altitudes, and despite Mexico have multiple tall mountains with snow, it only has 1 tall mountain in the game.

arguably, in 5, they made the nights WAAAAAAAY too short. Like sunset... 5 minutes later... sunrise. Forza Horizon 4 was too long, which makes sense, as night and day were the same amount of time. But they made nights shorter AND not painfully dark, so having longer nights wouldn't hurt as they're lighter. Goodbye nighttime vibes

In Forza horizon 5 day time lasts a 1 hour and 50 minutes in real time and night time lasts a measly 10 minutes u ain't gotta wait that long

they should do something like they had in FH1 where there were wristbands and certain racers you had to beat to progress in the game, and how each race had its own class and car restrictions. And also, the Forza Aero in FH1 is soooo much better than the Forza Aero now, its actually different widths for each car and it reaches the sides of the car, unlike in FH3+ its very hard to find cars where the Forza Aero reaches the sides of the car and looks good on it (Idk about FH2's Aero I haven't played it in a while becasue the disc got too scratched). They're also just reusing FH3's expansion pack, like cmon, Hot Wheels again? like i get it was fun but please be more original and creative. And they also release most of the fun and customizable cars in the Festival Playlist, personally, I hate having to grind for most of the cars in the game.

I'll be honest, the city of FH3 was my least favorite part of the map. I actively avoided it because, while it looked pretty, I hated driving in it. FH4 and FH5's cities are just a lot more fun to drive around since the roads actually curve and flow naturally through the landscape and aren't all 90 degree turns. The main feature I want is VR support. But that's never existed in any Forza.
