You are trying to forget and get a little calmer. :) Try to relax. Take a deep breath, make a cup of tea and tell yourself - even if i fail - even than i will be OK. No matter whether i fail or succeed - even than, i will love and accept myself the way i am. It is the fear that makes learning hard. Good luck.
Ian Hayden The tomato one is also good for strawberries. I'm sure you drain more then noodles. It depends on how you cook. For me, I cook in large amounts. So a few of these items help save time and allows me to have a nice looking food item. Also the storage jars have many uses.
1. Use that money you bought on the butter grater to instead but a container for your butter and leave it at room temp or buy spreadable butter. 2. colanders aren't just for pasta you can use them to wash and dry vegetables, or rinse canned goods. 3 you CAN eat the skin if it bothers you that much use a spoon, this gadget only works for kiwis. 4 not actually a bad idea but you probably don't need it for your whole coffee beans and the difference it makes is not a lot unless it is something that oxidizes fast like potatoes or avocado in which case put potatoes in water and the avocado in plastic wrap. 5. just cut the pineapple its not hard, the gadget doesn't get all the flesh and it only works for pineapples. 6. Glorified plastic wrap 7. cut off the top of the tomato and if you are concerned about wasting food eat the part around it. (you could use this for strawberries which is cool but you can also cut the tops off of those and eat around them, or just remove the leaves) 8. use a muffin tin it will give you infinite edges (lol) This was not meant to insult any of the products or be mean i'm simply giving information on how you can do these things without an insane amount of gadgets that will clutter up your kitchen. (except for #6 its cute but really? plastic wrap)
I think 4. is actually a bad idea. He said 'vacuum' but air stuck in bottle is not vacuum. The bottle already has enough air to oxidize until you open it tomorrow and fill it up with fresh air again.
Plastic wraps are horrible for the environment. Those “glorified” ones in the video are reusable which is so much better money-wise and environmental-wise. I think they are great for if you want to cover a bowl or something but those Tupperwares already have lids. The rest are useless tho.
Right, what I meant by that is that if you really just cant find the lid then it is acceptable to use plastic wrap, you don't have to go out of your way to buy some weird squishy silicone thing that if we are being honest is just as susceptible to losing as the lids to the Tupperware. also I don't think it would be efficient on bowls either, plus you have to wash them and if you are really concerned about the environment Tupperware bowls are cheaper and do the same thing. Oh and one more thing 4:18 should be a meme.
petri nax umm the purpose is to have these and completely stop buying plastic wrap... because again, thy are literally the worst and are so unnecessary, so you would already have those and no plastic wrap at home and don’t have to “go out of your way” to do anything. Yes it’s efficient on bowls... “I don’t think it’s efficient...” well they are so I don’t know what you are talking about. And Tupperware is still plastic, admit not single use one. It’s better to have these to use with whatever ceramic bowls or glass container I already have and not buy any plastic stuff all together. And really these are so much more space efficient than buying like million Tupperwares that would clutter your drawer
As a cook this is one of the best videos out there - no nonsense, no absurd items nobody uses. Every single one of these (I would add the Mango corer) are well worth the money.
The storage with the vacuum lid is good for storing but the extra space on top will collect dust. Which means the dust will come in contact when the food when you open the lid.
I use the sharp tip of a standard peeler to core my tomatoes. Works perfectly well, no need for a mono-use gadget. A grapefruit spoon is perfect for kiwis. That colander is only good for cooking pasta - what about straining salad greens? Again, mono-use no good. Keep an organized kitchen and you won't have to spend extra money on lids. And lastly, I never really got the enthusiasm for brownie edges, myself. Don't much care for burnt edges on my cake.
We call tomatoes with cores as gas station tomatoes. As they sell sandwiches or even warm food with tomatos with cores not cut away because these places are opposite of quality food.
Ah , its time for my nitpicking abilities to shine. 1) Butter too hard? why is it in the freezer in the first place? Also a butter knife is already enough to cut out the surface of the butter. And at the price point of 30$ you might as well buy an actual shredder for lower prices (maybe could be used on cheese instead) 2) A hand sieve is way better , unless you're too lazy to put the contents back in for later stages of cooking I guess....? 3) Use a freaking spoon 4) Actually useful, no complaints here 5) No complaints here 6) Kinda useful for when you lost the top on accident. On a side note, always put the top back on, its not that hard. Or just arrange them properly and not dump them in one spot 7) Only useful to people who cuts stuff like tomatoes in large quantities and or like to maintain the shape of the fruit 8) Only reason to buy it is when you don't like waiting for whatever you are cooking (more surface area = faster cooking), if there's already a functioning baking pan just use it unless the shape fancies your liking.
GamingJar the problem with your comment on #6 is that putting the lids back on will just take up a hell of a lot more space because you can no longer stack the containers inside of each other. You'd need at least three of those bins he had lids in to contain half of the containers he has lids for.
well I guess the chef guy person dude of this channel should organize his containers better then XD Also in my opinion I'd rather seal the container as risk losing space because I'd rather not allow any chances for any small critters that happen to be in there to step all over the containers
only thing i disagree on is 8 lol i think 8 exists cuz people like the corner bits of brownies and stuff. i think having metal strips or smth to divide pans you already have would be more useful and less space-consuming tho
GamingJar You're the real deal man. Pleade start a review channel, we need a real, no bullshit kind of person to start a reviewing channel. I'll be ypur first follower.
Hold up, people actually core strawberries? I understand not wanting to eat the leaves but why cut off most of the strawberry. All you have to do is grab the leaves, twist and pull.
if you need any of those thing, learn how to cook instead. the more specialize an item is, the more useless it is... and what a waste of space. a vegetable knife or chef knife takes care of all that.
I thought the brownie pan was a good idea. They were sold out! You're just too good of a salesman! Lol. I did buy a couple of the items you showed. Not all. I already had some items. I learned a few tricks while working in restaurants.
But the stretchy lids fit on varios sizes... also remember probably 3 of the stretchy lids would have fit on that plastic food container I showed in the video because they stretch to fit
#1 useless. #3 useless. #4 useless. #5 useless. #7 useless. If we listen to these guys, we would end up with a different cutting device for every other fruit, vegetable etc.
Nobody is telling you to buy everything in the world and frankly you can't but do expect a cooking channel to show off some cooking gadgets and probably a lot of them.
OMG...I finally found this video again! I bought the butter grater from watching this video when it first launched but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to get the gadget to work (even asked to 3 people) so it just sat there on top of my fridge for EXACTLY 15 months! lol Thank you for all you do! Warm hello from France! ♥
You're awesome dude, love the fact that you take time out of your day to show us all these gadgets, I need them! I would have never thougth to get a butter grater myself..
Never considered that, I guess that was to be expected there are lots of different types of people in this world. Dont get that pan then, unless you like the edges of lasagna...
All these gadgets are awesome, cool-looking and just fabulous. However, I do not think they are very practical. For one, they just have one use. Secondly, they are mostly plastic or frail and susceptible to breaking. Lastly, like the butter grater, in the time taken to set up the gadget, I could have finished buttering the slice. Five times.
Nope not in Tokyo anymore, got back a few days ago, it was EPIC! so much good food! Wish I would have stayed another 1 or 2 weeks. dunno what to do about making a Tokyo video... have so many random bits not sure how they will fit together.
Look the "tomato coring gadget" is not for the tomato and in fact its not even the real name but the gadget's real na,e is strawberry huller its for freaking STRAWBERRIES 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
Pineapple thing I wouldn’t get it unless I wanted to make the cups and didn’t want to go all the way down to the bottom of the pineapple the lid thing is kind a neat the colanders nice idea the pineapple I’m i pineapple thing I wouldn’t get it unless I wanted to make the cups and didn’t want to go all the way down to the bottom of the pineapple the lid thing Skanee the colanders nice idea the pineapple The tomato thing if I was doing a bunch of tomatoes one day I do a melon Baller and instead of that and it will work just as well a would work him a grapefruit spoon would work a and for the butter thing was neat I can cut large amounts of stuff without a special tool because I’ve just been doing it for sometime so that might be why the gadget seem to most the time I can do it easily without it
We eat Kiwi with the skin it is like eating a peach, and I like my old Pampered Chef tomato corer, pineapple wedger, and brownie pan. I have that new style strainer and I hate it. Burned my hands trying to get it on the hot pan. However I would like to try that brownie pan and those lids.
hi Luisa, Yeah no problem I know how frustrating it can be to see something in a video and then not be able to find it. the cutting boards I use in most of my videos are these: www.makesushi.com/product/hinoki-wood-cutting-board-miyabi/ also please help my channel out by sharing this video, thank you so much!!!
about number 8, i hate the corners, so that pan is my worst nightmare. unless it is a cake that has all sides frosted, then i like the corners as they have the most frosting
1. just leave your butter out, it wont kill you your grandparents did it your parents did it it wont kill you. 2. get one of those collapsible ones save space and youll be able to use it for different things and not just one. 3. meh if you have some type of disability yeah, but really it does one thing and do your really eat that many kiwis that you need a gadget to make it easier? 4. umm get a smaller container. 5. see 3 (p.o) 6. store your container lids under the stack of containers. also plastic wrap exist and does the same thing. 7. get a paring knife hold it by the blade to the depth you want to core the tomato spin and does the same thing. 8. brownie pan get foil make the same design now you dont have a useless fucking pan that only does one thing. if you have a disability yeah i can see some use of these thing but do some research b4 you buy some of this useless crap that will only clutter your kitchen.
I dont really feel like it does... did you enjoy the food gadgets? btw, I need help to get to a million subs could you please share this video, thank you so much!
Some really good gadgets. Thanks for showing so we don't have to buy and get stuck with the ones that look good and don't work. I think my wife is going to love a brownie pan.
"it took out the part you want from thi pineapple" and whats with the other 50" of fresh pinapple "flesh" in there y it gies to waste get a good knife and u are better off cuz u get more fruit and less waste
#7 -- is great if you are an occassional chef and have maybe 3 tomatoes to cut. However, this is something you do quite frequently (aka, daily) and IF you MUST cut "many, many, many" (aka, 24 to 30, maybe 50) tomatoes, the best gadget is called a knife, a lot faster and cleaner.
Half of this stuff will only take up space and never be used. 1. Warm knife solves this "problem". Run your knife under the faucet or stick it in the hot kettle water. 2. This colander is actually pretty cool and will save space. 3. A teaspoon will do the same thing, if you don't have that just bend wire/wire hanger and make this tool yourself. 4. Oxygen spoils food but sunlight ruins food much faster. Why these jars are clear is beyond me but they need to be in a dark place if this is to work as intended. 5. Seriously. Use a knife to cut a pineapple. There ara vids here that show you how. The pros use a knife, not this thing. 6. These tops work!. 7. This is why man invented pairing knives, you simply cut a hole in one simple movement using a pairing knife. 8. Corner pieces are dry pieces, you can get this "effect" using long and narrow forms instead of one big one. This thing is going to be a nightmare to clean.
8. The Brownie Pan is exactly the OPPOSITE of what I want. I SPECIFICALLY want the pieces that don't have edges/corners because that's where it's burnt. The gooey middle parts are the best parts and that pan ruins it.
There are 8,000 people on here saying that the tomato corer is a strawberry corer. YES AND NO. Norpro makes one that is supposed to be for both. However, it will only work on both if you are buying non-organic strawberries. Organic strawberries are smaller because they are not grown on steroids - LOL - and require the "strawberry" corer that actually looks like a strawberry with little dimples on it.
Butter grater, dumb, strainer dumb, kiwi extractor dumb, evac dumb, (yah get 1 for each jar you own, pimeapple cutter useful but wastes a lot because not every pimeapple is straight shaped, the lids -could be useful if they actually work, omg for tomato use a paring knife and brownie pan wow i bet chefs had a good laugh at these gadgets
Having bought on line products that do not do the job I have a product that most home cooks would like in the kitchen ,how do I go about pursuing this idea without getting ripped off ..?? .I have the answer, realist ,artist ,innovative designer ?check out Jennifer Banks FB I do not need new friends ..thanks
Wtf that butter was normally fine, they just tryed to look so dumb while doing it so it makes u wanna get their stuff....how do u open the jars when they are air fixed into the food what is in it?use so much pressure and make a mess everywhere around, and that cake...omg so so much lazy, who tf cant cut squares...
I suppose all of your subscribers are here to see your awesome sushi videos, and not these sponsored “gadget” videos you keep doing. I know I subscribed for the amazing, creative sushi videos. Like wtf is this? Why do I need this?
All of these items are complete crap except the silicone container lids and the evak container. Who needs any of this garbage? What else are you supposed to use that kiwi thing for? You can use a spoon and it does the same thing in only slightly more time. Except you can use a spoon for a million other things where as I'm not sure what else you would ever use that kiwi thing for. Also, if you want edged brownies can you not just use a muffin pan?
The lids are nice if you like to store stuff like that. Otherwise I do think that some gadgets bring solutions for problems that didn'T exist before the product came out. If you eat a pineapple like once a month or less, well ten why spend so much money on that gadget?
First off its called a kiwi "friut" because a kiwi is a new Zealander and our national animal so you eat us if you say I love eating kiwis. Second of all yous should just learn to eat kiwi friut skin and all, or if not just cut it in half and scoop it out with a spoon.👌😊 NZ life and facts hacks right ther👌😉
What's up guys welcome back to my laboratory, were safety is number 1 priority. And 2day we're gonna put to the test; 8 kitchen gadgets. Let's see what I got today :v
Very good idea, but the bottle should not be transparent. Yes, also light changes the chemical structure, not just the oxygen. The closet is fine, but not everyone keeps everything in the cabinets. So a dark green or brown bottle would be better suited.
Watching this, I am so happy our butter is soft when we buy it. I guess where I'm from we just eat too many sandwhiches to deal with hard butter, hard butter is generally used for baking, not for your toast
Lol lol, maybe I'm the only one, but the brownie pan at 6:24 is a joke. I mean, one can just as easy make horizontal & vertical cuts in one big cake to create brownies! ;)
the brownie pan design is nothing to do with more giving you extra corners ,its designed like that to cook everything evenley so you dont end up with cooked brownie on the edges and raw batter in the center , the pineapple corer is the best gaget i now own one. it will core a pineapple in about 1 minute ,anyone whos tryed with a knife will understand the rest i could live without to be honset
The brownie thing is genius but I love my brownies and your girl likes to get every inch of the pan filled so the little raised groves would be taking away space for more precious brownie mix to go lol
Or you could leave a small piece of butter in a little dish o the counter and have perfectly textured butter for daily use...I just saved money and the space another gadget takes up.
