The new book has been ordered and I just can’t wait till it arrives sometime next week😄🤭. I have every single Fabric Cafe book! I do love R/W/B quilts but I can see these new ones in so many other combinations, too! I keep hoping to see y’all at a big quilt show again - maybe AQS Lancaster in 2024?. Hint! Hint!👍👍
You 2 are adorable. 💙 I am so excited to get this book and make every pattern ❤ Luv them all so much and what gorgeous fabrics! Please say hi to Hannah for me. ❤️🤍💙
Hello girls! I think Im liking Independence the best but they are all beautiful! I love watching the two of you. It made my day because I am now waiting for my book to arrive! Hoping it comes this week so I can get to sewing! Keep up the fantastic work!
First of all, I love you two! It is always fun to join you! Now....the book! Stellar! As the wive of a military veteran, I thank you! These are perfect for our VA home!
I tried HST on my second quilt while taking an online class. Unfortunately the instructor didn't go over a scant quarter inch so my HST didn't match up with the block. It took me some research to figure out where I had gone wrong. Thats part of the processes. So happy I found Fabric Cafe. Thank you for another book.
Beautiful quilts! I'm so far behind. Life got in the way. Valentine's, Easter, emergency trip to Washington state.Working on "Snowball " it's cut and started so moving forward. I'll be ready for Christmas in July 😂 This will definitely be my next book purchase.
Love your new book with the Patriotic Patterns. I also think you two are so adorably cute today in your beautiful matching shirts. I really enjoyed this video.
Donna, like you, I wasn't afraid of HST's (or hourglass blocks) because I didn't know to be afraid of them! I have other things to worry about with my sewing and quilting 😂 Enjoyed seeing all the red, white and blue fabrics you used that are not novelty fabrics, flags, fireworks, etc. or just solids. Beautiful quilts!
Did my first half HST way back in 1979 when everything was done by hand😄😄. We used graph paper and glued it to sandpaper to make our templates - we drew around that template on the backside,of our fabric and then either drew another cutting line or just cut 1/4” beyond that line. I still enjoy hand piecing!
I'm excited for this new book. All the quilts are great with Liberty as my #1 choice but I love Waves, United & Fireworks too. Great fabric choices!! Another great book full of beautiful and fun quilts. Can't wait to make some of these.
I am an Army retiree and love that you came out with a patriotic quilt book. I recently started to make Quilts of Valor and Liberty is perfect for female veterans who are often overlooked.
Hi Janette! Thank you for your service. We are also very happy to see patriotic fabrics in a more feminine tone so that our female heroes can be represented 😊
You all make me chuckle. Like Donna, I did not know I was suppose to be afraid 😂 I actually discovered HST by accident when sewing an outfit. I saved them and made a skirt border. I now have discovered how to make them intentionally of course.🤣😂
As a woman veteran, I want to thank you for your support and recognition for women who serve our country. We are an often overlooked group of vets. I love the flowers on the red white and blue. I also quilt. I recently made a QOV for one of my best friends whom I met while we were serving in the Navy. He's a guy and and the flowers wouldn't be appreciated. I have a woman veteran friend who would love it if I made her a QOV with that pattern. I will do that for next year. I was searching "patriotic quilt patterns," and this was the first video recommendation. I love it.
Congratulations on your new book! Love all of the new quilts, but The Liberty quilt is my favorite! My brother, who is a veteran, will be the recipient of this quilt.
fun book of QOV quilts, my favorite fabric is... well, all of them. I especially Love the pattern United with the feminine fabrics of Betsy's Porch. So often the QOV's have pain RWB without the individual fabrics chosen for our women who, IMHO, should be recognized as being as important to our country as our men. Soldiers of service come in all shapes and genders'. Let it ring. YEA!
Just watched your New Patriotic video it is awesome you guys have done a fantastic job on this outdone yourselves can't wait to get my hands on this book ordering it now thank you so much
Can you believe it?! This is the second time I have watched this episode since you released it. Seems a tad amusing to me since all these patterns and fabric choices are focused on making new and exciting quilts for Americans to use on your Independence Day 4th of July Celebration. I say amusing only because I am Canadian, Canada's flag has only two colors (red & white) and no stars...just one big Maple Leaf. I don't think I have ever seen a homemade quilt made for our July 1st Canada Celebration. Must change that as I love Canada: my home and native land 😊. I also happen to love the United States too, for many reasons, but I guess the most important reason is that my maternal Grandpa, and both of my Mother's Great Grandparents were all born and raised in the U.S. and now, at least 2/3s of my cousins from Mom's side of the family went to Universities in the U.S., then got married there, and then just stayed to work and raise their families. I think I'm the only one of my female cousins who was never taught to make quilts. I just learned to prize the one's I received as gifts above most everything, except my family, pets, and family history records. I only starting mentioning all this just to emphasize that me loving U.S. Patriotic Quilts, shouldn't make sense. But, I find myself loving every single quilt pattern and choice of fabrics used so much that some are now on my very most favourite quilt list. 😊 In my enthusiasm for this new collection, I found myself unintentionally figuring out some of my geneology online and come to realize that your quilts are so Dynamic, Exciting, Beautiful, and Unique that they have the power to awaken one's historical generic code (Wow ☺️) Now I feel like I, too, should be getting ready to celebrate 🎉☺️ Guess I'll have to make both a Canadian quilt and an American quilt for our family to celebrate on July 1st and July 4th this year 🤔🥳🙃🥳 I hope Fabric Cafe will upload these patterns and fabrics on the Prequilt App so I can see how I might be able to make the designs work for both countries. Thank you, most sincerely, for all the diverse and fun ways you help your Subscribers become more creative, and fill our lives with the light and laughter that exists in your Fabric Cafe family (at work and at home). Sincerely, Anita
love them all !! My husband was a military man so I love patriotic quilts. Just love you two and everyone that makes Fabric Cafe so awesome. Thank you.
Liberty was my favorite, but so wasn't half the book. I can't wait to get this book too. Also, loved the matching shirts. You two are too cute together!
I watch your videos all the time..I'm making a Friendship quilt now,but having trouble understanding the 3 1/2 in blocks and the 4 in blocks..Love you all...
Congratulations on another great book!!! Patriotic colors look amazing but can’t wait for when you use other fabrics!!! United, Liberty and Jubilee are my favorites but can’t wait to get the book for all the patterns! As always, enjoyed watching your video!
Just now finding you gals. Love this video and listening to you describe the quilts. It would be nice if you’d give the size of the quilts. QOV request a certain size. Thanks for these patterns. 🇺🇸
