Just downloaded this preset, and tried it out with my Kramer "5150" loaded with Pariah "Pasadena Black" pickup...and OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!! EVH TONE FOR DAYS!!!!!!!! Crazy good preset, Brett! Thanks for making this available.
Brett, I got a laugh from the intro... quiet mixed with some groans while picking up the guitar, immediately followed by hell breaking loose from glorious riffage. They're always great demos and full of information, but you really shine with your EVH sounds! Too much fun! I think any EVH fan would be extremely happy with these tones.
@@BrettKingman Well then Sir, Happy Rocking Birthday! We truly appreciate all of your time spent informing us & inspiring us. Thank you for all of your incredibly hard work.
I dont know now how, i dont know why, but i just hit the follow button... offcorse should have done that a long time ago. Thank you sir... your videos are really great combined with the preset (or the other way around ;) just outstanding. Cheers and good health. Hopefully for you the touring will start very soon again.
I keep trying tto download the jsantiago Echoplex IR and the link must not be good anymore. I own the external version of the pedal but I would like to simply have it in the Axe FX III I just purchased.
So what's with this AX3 kick? I do dig your tone.....always have......but man that digital dna is puzzling to me. I've been waiting for you to get a stereo tube amp rig up and running for a while now. You could,............I know it. That;'s why i follow you brother Brett!!!
wow ..., just WOW ! It's SO cool to see how the variant amps can be dialed for a very similar sound ! Have you tried Matt's Dual PEQ version of the EP-3 ? I'm curious what your opinion of that is too ? THANKS !
This Ernie Ball Music Man and the one Cooper Carter plays sounds better than anything else I've heard with Fractal Audio AxeFx III Mk II in terms of digital modelling except Neural DSP Archetype: Nolly. For around AUD$4000 I can't think of a lighter weight more versatile option. Still some tonal compromise but it does make me wonder if digital could do 100.00% of analogue tonally.
I haven't tried the QC. I asked them if I could access a demo unit for vids when it was announced. Nup. Not interested in me. Oh well, one day, maybe. The Ernie Ball guitars are pretty unbeatable, though. That's for sure. Great axes.
@@BrettKingman I wonder if there's any way of getting a slightly warmer, fuller, less digital, grainy sound out of the Fractal Audio range. When you hit the open A major it was nailing it, and a bunch of other moments I'd be proud of on a major release. I'm still torn whether to do one 'perfect' tone or have access to 1000s that come close. Maybe get an Axe Fx and find my sound and work it until I can afford another $4000 for that last 1%.
I was wondering if there was a way of using a hotter pickup in a Music Man. Something like a Lace sensor like Jonny Greenwood uses in his Telecaster. Wish there was a way of hearing one in person.
It's just an EQ curve. Try to find the right EQ curve if you care enough, take a filter block, put that EQ curve in, done. It's just an EQ boost somewhere between 500-100hz.
G'day Brett, I am working on a website and a business registration. Once I have everything set-up I'd like to sent you a set of pickups. No obligation to make a video. I just need to know if you'd prefer a strat, tele or humbucker set?
