Very common ideas. You can use news paper below the cutting board to collect waste instead of plastic. For pressure cooker, you can use quarter piece of lime, salt and water , boil it for some time and it becomes sparkling clean. It smells fresh. Using baking soda etc is unhealthy. Vegetables that need peeling and cutting can be peeled and put in the air right container. It is healthy to cut vegetables while cooking.
Anu Radha - Kids get smarter when they are introduced, early, these kind of things. About 15/20 years ago , common people in India were unaware of simple things like masking tape or scotch tapes!!.
Dear Mam,pls edit at 00.35 and add the new advice that Keep the Carry Bag for next time and throw the peels of vegetables into bio degradable waste Bin. If we throw the Carry Bags with the peels it would add to plastic waste and would avoid bio-decay of vegetable peels and cause microbes in dumping area. I have 34 year Old Carry Bag with me...imagine we throw how many Carry Bags nowadays
Mehar Hamid I am requesting you to stop drinking coke, stop drinking wine, stop driving car, stop using air conditioning as these all damage both you and the world
Garlic has inner and outer skin. I saw you only removed outer skin which is not a biggy. Inner is sticky. I heard people either put them in the boiling water or shake them in emplty jar/bottles to get rid off it. But thanks anyway for sharing all your tips.
Why use drying mat for the dishes? Why not get a proper plastic to catch the water that is made for the dish basket? Anyway when you buy a dish basket it comes with it. I think it is more sanitary. Some of your ideas are great though.
I particularly liked the double side tape idea. However please do not throw away plastic bags with veg peels in that manner as a lot cattle eat it and their intestines get chocked causing them a horrific death.
