I literally have a crying baby in my arms right now. He has colic and reflux plus we’re having a heatwave in the uk so he’s very cranky. Thank you! This couldn’t have come at a better time
Same here in the uk and my little 7 week old is major fussy will not lay down at all. Struggling in this heat! Been using wrap just to be able to do things ha but we to get so Hot and sweaty!
Remove dairy from your diet (if you breastfeed) or from his/her diet. My baby had reflux due to dairy allergy in my diet, I breastfed her. As soon as I cut it off, her reflux was gone.
@@minniev441 he’s fine now thank you. Oh bless you. I took him to the doctors and they prescribed baby Gaviscon for the reflux and it helped so much. He was on that for around a month and it seemed to settle then x
BOYYYY DID I NEED THIS TONIGHT! my 10 month old is teething and super fussy some of these steps actually helped in his stage. 🙏 praying for you new mamas out there with colic babies.
Thank you for all the information. Me and wife just became first time parent's. Our baby girl is 14 days old and for around 5 days now she is mostly unsettled when she dosnt sleep and even when she does we are just waiting for her to wake up and start crying poor thing. We asume its colic as she clinches he firsts and rugs her legs in to her tummy. She also has a acne like rash on her face and a bit on her tummy so its super challenging for us at the moment to find remedies and calm her down at time's. I can see my wife struggling at time's as am i tbf but we're just hoping for a better time ro come and somw relief for out little girl. Ill definitely check out you other video's.Thanks again
I would recommend researching elimination communication and also Cranial Sacral Fascia Therapy (CFT). My baby struggled to poop and releasing fascia tension did the trick! She also hates peeing in diaper causing hours of upset even after a diaper change. Every baby is different so just keep exploring and listen to your intuition!
I can’t begin to tell you how since I started using the doctor brown bottles, doing a massage and helping my baby pass gas especially after bath time and using probiotic drops my baby has been feeling so much better 😭
My doctor recommended bio gaia drops and which changed the game, now my baby sleeps whole night and wakes up just for milk and then right way sleeps again.
You have no idea how much I needed this video right now! Thank you for the excellent content you put out. You are amazing. You’ve helped me tremendously through pregnancy, labor, birth, and now parenthood. Thank you!
I have always wondered if sometimes babies cry unconsolably because of simple growing pains, what with their bones fusing together and muscles developing. I remember having horrendous growing pains in my legs at night as a child - I can only imagine what a baby feels as they double and triple in size over such a short period of time...
At least two weeks before my due dates I’ve completely stopped eating any dairy. With my first I didn’t (I was vegetarian and used a lot of dairy for protein) and my baby had severe colic. My friend studying Chinese medicine suggested I cut out dairy and eat a TON of greens (kale, spinach, collards, mustard, salad etc) to help my body rid itself of the cow milk proteins. My baby went from screaming 11 hours straight, every single night, so sleeping peacefully and eating without screaming. This only took 5 days. I know my babies are sensitive to cows milk proteins because with our second baby I tried to eat dairy and she had a horrible reaction (projectile vomiting, poop that burned her booty, and screaming on and off all night).
ThNk you for sharing this. Specialists keep telling me it’s rare and unlikely that it’s dairy doing this to my child but he’s a month old and it’s only getting worse. I’m going to cut dairy out officially
❤️❤️Omg GRATITUDE you helped me have a beautiful labor. First time mom using your tips helped me master my contractions. I reach 6cm at home couldn't believe it. I only went to the hospital because of meconium being present when my water broke. Being at the hospital slowed down my labor alot due to being stressed out by being tortured by needles.
Who’s a father here watching this after jumping in the car to rush to the hospital with a baby screaming and mom crying in fear just to find out that the baby, after crying for several minutes, would eventually just fall asleep in the car on the way to the hospital, in the exact same position that was giving him the worst pain he ever experienced? Jesus…. Nobody told me it was easy… but tonight I just really need a couple of cigarettes…. 😞 Apart from that… whose baby’s (2 months and a half) crying like they just unleashed hell and then smiling and laughing after a couple of seconds, like nothing happened and then going crazy again? I’ve come to the conclusion that the bracelet from the birth room is actually just a ticket for a very long roller coaster ride.
Such brilliant advice, a lot of which has also been mirrored by my mid-wife. So good to have a reliable source in all the noise that i can trust, thanks so much, this is gold!
Beware of the newer model Hatch and certain other sound machines as well as newer model monitors. After I held my EMF meter by our new Hatch and then by the audio-only baby monitor I realized how much wireless radiation each one puts off…the EMF levels from the Hatch were similar to our wifi router.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! Colic can be a really challenging and frustrating time for both babies and parents, and it's great to have some tips and techniques for finding relief. It's important to remember that every baby is different, and what works for one may not work for another. It's also crucial to consult with a healthcare provider if a baby is experiencing prolonged crying, as there may be an underlying medical issue that needs to be addressed. In the meantime, it can be helpful to try different techniques, such as those demonstrated in this video, to see what works best for a particular baby. Thank you again for sharing these useful tips!
Great video, Bridget. Thank you so much for your amazing videos. I recently became a dad and your videos really helped me and my wife in many different situations. Always clear and concise, with super quality videos. Congrats and thanks once again.
Thank you for this valuable information Bridget! My baby is 6 weeks old and just hit peak fussiness, the mobi wrap is the only thing that calms him down but he sweats a lot in it due to the thick fabric, is that dangerous at all? I'm afraid he overheats in there but I cant calm him down any other way
All these are great options but I'm helping a friend d out now with her baby and none of this helps her son. He screams for hours on end and doesn't sleep. She's not getting any sleep, I feel sorry for her
When do babies start getting colic? A nurse told me my newborn cant get colic until 6 months. But tonight my baby has been crying and fussy ALL night 🥲
Hey Bridget! I’d love your advice: I’m 34 weeks and my baby is transverse, it’s becoming really uncomfortable and I am also really worried I’ll need a c-section, I really want to avoid that. Google says they may try to move baby manually if they don’t move themselves. What are the pros and cons of this? I can’t find much information about this. In the meantime I am doing spinning babies but baby is very stubborn!
Try some exercises and sleeping positions if possible. Meanwhile I will be praying for all pregnancy women. God has done miracles for me and my family and I now have my blessing in my hand (a baby boy) of almost 20 days old.
All fine advice until....Please never take your baby to a chiropractor........ please never go to a chiropractor yourself in place of a Dr. My mom literally had a stroke after an adjustment and still goes running back chiropractor...it is a cult, they brain wash you. My baby had 'colic' for nearly six months (not normal btw) and we tried everything and the Dr we had just looked at is like we were crazy because Drs suck, which is why so many people are being driven to chiropractors...but we have a good pediatrician now... Our baby had a sensory processing disorder due to autism spectrum disorder..........so it's not always under any of your control.
Chiropractic care is a lifesaver. With any profession there are better practitioners and bad ones too. Same with hospitals and GPs. I've had some shocking ones in the past. My chiropractor has helped me so much, she's helped my Dad who wasn't able to walk and was on pain meds every day, to now be perfectly active, walking and lifting without any pain medication at all. My mum used to get migraines constantly before chiropractic, never had one since she's had chiropractic care. I've had friends with children who wet the bed before chiropractic care and I myself used to get ear infections far more frequently. Don't knock it until you try it and make sure you find the best chiro you can 😊 Just like you would try to find a good general practitioner or midwife.
What the hell is this weird comment? Lol. Chiropractors are simply putting your bones back into the original position they are supposed to maintain. This is not a cult idea. This is physics. I’m sorry your mom had a bad experience, but there are many people out there who will never experience relief until they get a chiropractic adjustment. There is no such thing as surgery to pop your joints back into place. You sound weird for calling this a cult thing. You don’t have to go, but chiropractors help people with chronic ailments alongside other medical professionals.
yeah from a medical point you do not push the legs straight to the tummy but rather a little side ways like a frog. I was looking for a video for my students and this was not it other than that this is a good video THANKS
