One thing I learned years ago is that to me at least the most important thing about summer clothes is comfort....I got the whole not looking like a slob or a bum or a clown covered....it’s comfort I look for as well as style

Jeff, This is a needed list for the summer. You have included some of my favorite. Minimal sneakers, white leather and brown suede. Canvas in all colors. Boots shoes only brown. I need to pick up a pair of Derby and driving shoes. Can’t do the espadrilles and the Suede chukka boots. Salute to you. Enjoy the summer Style OG family.

I got myself a first pair of espadrille, a Polo Ralph Lauren splurge. Was a bit tight as canvas doesnt expand as much as leather, but my gal loved it. Driving mochs are amply available here in Malaysia. As always, thx for those great tips.

I'm from the islands, so it's practically always summer! Personally I hate canvas sneakers but none the less great list! Though u should have mentioned leather sandals. Leather thong sandals like old navy, or the more dressy Birkenstock. But definitely a warm weather classic is the Leather Sandal

AF1 white w/ or w/o the gum bottom is minimalist enough lol. Can't do the Macy's/ JCP shoe section specials, although Polo boats are always a go 👍🏽 Suede in the summer? Well I'll be ... Summer is one of my/ THE BEST seasons to get fly, young & old. Just need imagination and a lack of insecurity (the jersey argument helps here too lol js). Surprised that silk evening shirts weren't mentioned but still good content though

I down with all presented. But where guys fail are the ultimate summer shoe the sandal. First off they need proper prep like either on their own or with their significant other hit the nail shop to make their feet presentable with a pedicure. Then the right choice for what’s being worn. The Italians tend to have the market on sandal style.

Jeff, do you invest in any high end shoes? I noticed you have a preference for say Beckett Simonon. Is there a limit to what you should or what you invest in your shoes? I know cordovan is far more expensive for example. Thoughts?
