8 Things NFS Unbound Does BETTER Than Horizon 5! 

The SUV's actually have a purpose, the bigger/heavier cars are good to combat cops and especially a lifesaver against heavy units in Heat 5

The city in Need For Speed Unbound reminds me a lot of the city in Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012. Criterion did a great job in designing the game; they make exuberant in-game map, not a bland one.

This game is actually so fun and I completely agree with the customization one, nfs games have been way ahead in terms of customization it's so free and up to you

You can amp up the camera shake in settings, and at max it really makes you feel the sheer intensity of the speed you're going at.

140 cars is a massive number for being a NFS game

Forza was never about the customization or the story, it’s about the driving and the music, there is always room to improve but i don’t thing it’s a fair comparison, in my opinion they are both great games in their own way.

I haven't played a NFS game in years and this is a breath of fresh air compared to FH, I love it.

One thing I wish say is that i wish for the love of everything holy that they bring back the tuning system from 2015 because ever since that tuning system drifting has felt drifting and grip hasn't really felt like grip. I feel like if they give us those tuning setting we as nfs player can really make our cars the way we want. Those extra tuning settings really made a difference and I'm kinda surprised how people don't mention that. In nfs 2015 also the physics weren't the best and was kinda random, but drifting in nfs 2015 looked and felt like the only game where it was possible to actually have a legit drift car, grip car, or a car that has a mix of both. I'm not tryna meat ride nfs 2015 but I'm really starting to think that they need to give us those extra tuning options from nfs 2015. Not to mention it would help out since other car games have in depth tuning options as well.

if you liked this game, play midnigght club L.A, its basicly gta5 and nfs underground put together, with quirky handling and good cutscenes.

The car list can be better Horizon 5 has a better collection of older car models like the corvette and civics to name a few

9: it actually feels a whole new game in series with better handling. graphics, map, and different story line; and not the same game repeated over and over (probably even downgrade in some parts) with just different map and some new cars like in forza series

Game is incredible minus some major issues with physics For example- i had a collision/squeeze into a wall and between that wall and a box truck, then it entered the crash cutscene thing, the side of my car to the wall bounced up from the impact (fair) then it landed on *all fours* and exited the crash cam, then proceeded to MAGICALLY LIFT THE SIDE OF MY CAR UP AND NEARLY FLIP ME. Also- In some cars that i built for grip (ex: lotus exiege s) when turning, the car would start to slide (understandable as sometimes i was probably turning with a bit too much speed) so i counter-steer to correct but the car stars drifting the other way, rinse and repeat until i slam the brakes to stop it. OR i counter-steer and there is no perceivable effect, the car continues sliding in a “turn right to go left” style. TLDR- the physics obviously try to flip you and cars built for grip will slide uncontrollably

In forza you can use your wheel in nfs you can't

one thing i forgot to tel you, these 3 cars are Porlouge cars firstly after a few races then a drive back to the shop your gets stolen s well after mentioned in a delivery mission.

Stakes of tension in non race event is great you must careful getting heat level

I honestly like the progression system in Forza better. You do get a substantial amount of money and cars early on but there's still a lot of incentive to grind and hustle in the game because you need different cars for different races, and there are many cars that are desirable which are very difficult to get. I've been playing that game for months and still come back to it almost every day, building new cars for new races in the playlists, and experimenting with new setups for drift and drag. In Unbound It feels too much like real life where the odds are stacked against us unless we're born into wealth. I was halfway through the game when I realized even though I was winning most of the races and doing a bunch of races every day and night I was still not even close to being able to afford the first car I wanted, let alone all the money needed to upgrade the garage, or pay for the overpriced parts. I was excluded from the car customization which is one of the biggest features of the game via a virtual paywall. Not the best feeling for something that's supposed to help me unwind at the end of the day after work. A steep challenge can be fun but Unbound felt defeating. After all that time put in it, It would be nice to at least be able to afford a car from the dealer/some higher performance parts, or enjoy the car customization stuff. If you don't choose the right parents you're for the most part excluded from all that in real life no matter how hard you work. If I pay $70 for a game I want to be able to at least enjoy the car customization virtually.

Yuwan, the coutach, charger and Silvia aren’t even the starter cars… You only get them for the prologue, then you have to pick an even worse car. Not sure if you noticed this…

Finally Forza has competition.

Not all car have customizable, best example my Ferrari 488 Pista and you can have wing FH5 but not in unbound.

The one thing to be covered i was looking for here is driving dynamics. For alot of people, its what makes a racing game. What good is endless customization if when you go to drive the car in game, it works like GTA 3 on PS2. He touches on it, but doesn't go into detail or compare. I imagine, its more of the same from previous NFS games though. This installment however, looks like the old Burnout series..very arcade

Hey I have a question : are you from Bermuda?

My problem with this game is the car list, which is awful for me. I am completely bored with supercars and Lambos, Ferraris, US muscle cars, and the usual list of Japanese GTs. I'm a big fan of hot hatches, and as far as I can see NFS Unbound has...five? (a Focus RS, two Golfs, and two Civics). I like FH5's much larger variety of Peugeots, Vauxhalls, Renaults, Fiestas, etc. Few games offer these--outside of rally games--and NFS is yet another one that focuses almost exclusively on supercars, muscle cars, and GTs. Too bad.

I really like your videos but saying "every single racing game needs storyline" is just too much. Some of the best racing games ever made didn't have one including some NFS games (Burnout games, Hot Pursuit 2 and 3, High Stakes, Forza Motorsport 4) and I didn't even mention any sim racers.

I think the overall artstyle is nfs is better than in forza

NFS Unbound seems to be the first NFS game I honestly consider playing. Forza has a few of these filler cars that I like tho, for now I remember only BAC mono xP Also, is Mazda rx7 FD or Mazda Miata in NFS?

I’ve hated NFS for awhile and have always been all about gran turismo and similar sim type racing games. But unbound knocked it out of the park. I can’t put it down. It’s just so much FUN and I love the visuals. I’ve played the horizon series and they’re good but can’t compete with unbound for overall fun.

Well If it had a Better soundtrack, better drifting mechanics, harder cop chases. It would've had become a perfect NFS game

Well after the amount of boredom forza 5 gave me …..Unbound has woken up my racing spirit again …. Seriously it’s like a breath of fresh air and am really enjoying this game to my hearts content. Idk why forza 5 is so overrated without story or a progression except for graphics of course. It’s like a game without “fun” part in it which Unbound gives tons of it.

Here's my conclusion of talking about the "NFS VS Forza" debate with my friends: If you're a car enthusiast, you will probably gonna go with NFS If you're a casual gamer looking for a racing game to play, there's a high chance you will choose Forza But for me, as a NFS fanboy since the days of Underground 2, no racing game can come close to NFS

My biggest complaints is that you can't choose day/night like in heat. The grip physics are good but the drift physics are TERRIBLE. The artistic smoke I dont like I prefer the old style tire smoke. That's my only complaints.

Compare it to FH? Not with previous NFS game? These 2 game are different game you know. But i do agree with point 1 which is the progression, NFS series has that feel of progression while in FH game theres almost none, even worst in FH5 theres no progression at all, in the begining the game already give us a bunch of high tier fast cars already.

There's one bad thing of NFS after 2015 and it's TAA only. That thing it's the worst with fast moving objects and lowers the resulution resulting in blurry image. FH5 has MSAA and it's a lot better antialias tech for peoples with PCs powerful enough to not noticing the performance hit of 2x/4x MSAA. Dirt Rally 2.0 also has TAA but you can turn off that crap and use MSAA, probably the last Codemasters title made like that.

Cop chases/an overall sense of risk, car customization, and working to make your car viable are NFS's trump cards. Unbound is more polished and has more in-depth and functional handling than previous NFS titles. But I'm disappointed in the replayability. I restarted my NFS Heat save 20ish times, because I loved the progress of building my garage in different ways. I only wish the story was longer or Level 50 wasn't the highest level. Unbound has a longer career, but the first hour or so is a complete waste of time, the story isn't as engaging, and the event/day-of-the-week limitations make replaying it not as fun--not to mention the incommensurate economy. I do liked the tiered races for multiplayer, but I wish you could do single events and that races weren't tier-specific.

That’s why I like a bit more but unbound is still on of my favorite game. Like forza as well but I think nfs games take it a bit farther. Tbh on street scenes in forza I wish there are cops

The arcade physics alone make it inferior. However that doesn’t make it not enjoyable. I’ve always viewed it as a low key game when your just messing around or a game children can play.

I don’t care what any RU-vidr says. The community prefers a much smaller car list with much more balance so the racing is actually competitive. 127 cars in an arcade racing game that is story based, is way too many. It pretty much shows you that the dev team is wasting their time on the wrong aspects of their cycle. This game needed a bitter story and better racing. It’s a cakewalk on the highest difficulty if you’re upgrading your car as well. Another weak entry in the series that had promise, but didn’t deliver. 25-30 cars that are closer together in performance and have full customization options was miles ahead of what Unbound has to offer. Most Wanted 05 had 3 wide bodykits for every car offered in the lot and maximum performance was pretty balanced. Now we have 127 cars. Over half of them handle like ice cubes on densely packed sand.
