@@FootballFan4850 Well I used to suffer from blowing ALL the time. Sometimes I could eat something and was ok and every other day the very same thing would make me sick. Most of the time I would start feeling awful around 4pm. It was like my body was my worst enemy. Going out Friday night or for weekend out was very stressful cuz I never knew when my guts were gonna act out. I started doing the 16/8 fasting, initially for vanity to b e honest. My first meal was at noon and I would only have black coffee (grain never insta) or tea. Once in a blue moon even do a whole day so that my only meal is dinner. I soon realized that all my issues were gone. Not only the pain, the gas and the over all blowing, but also some foods that normally was a NO for me I could now digest. Also notice that now I would consistently evacuate with no trouble. My life quality has improved a lot.

I very much agree with elimination diet. When I started to eat more fiber and espacially lentils every meal, first week I was bloated as hell. But after a week it was all gone and I could eat as much as I wanted and I actually felt better mentally and physically. What you eat alters your microbiome and the diversity will make you feel better.

i completely trashed my gut drinking as a teen and in my early 20s and it took years to heal, what worked for me was avoiding garbage fast food (especially deep fried food), just cooked at home and ate smaller meals, used cayenne pepper, later on in an effort to have visible abs i came up with a diet that consisted of mostly chicken, brown rice and varieties of frozen veg. i employed the 6 small meals a day with meat being the largest portion veg in second and the rice was more like seasoning so i was low carb but extremely consistent and i seasoned the tiny meals with olive oil, acv, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. that might sound gross but i really leaned out while not only maintaining strength but gaining to the strongest i've ever been, so there's something to be said for consistency and eating relatively the same thing, it's easier to modify portions with what already works... on a side note i have experimented with gelatin and in my experience gelatin can definitely help your stomach and i have recommended it to my gf who also seems to have gut issues, the literature suggests gelatin can heal leaky gut which most people probably have to some degree

@SW3DProductionsYT
@SW3DProductionsYT 11 месяцев назад
Phyto estrogens are non-mammalian. Your body doesn't literally convert or utilize non mammalian hormones into creation of mammalian hormones. A persons genetics and gut microbiome dictate how phyto hormones/nutrients are assimilated. Just like anti nutrients such as phytates, oxalates, so on; so forth. You can build up the bacteria to break down anti nutrients eliminating most if not all of the negative effects when combined with proper food preparation/cooking and increasing all the positive health benefits of the plants that prople seam to fear. Obviously there are people who will face adversity no matter how much they try to plentify their gut with the right bacteria, but im more than certain the number of people in that category is far lower than most would ever suspect. Ben bulsiwics, whom thomas had on his channel recently is an amazing wealth of knowledge in regards to research of this kind.

Your skin rejuvenation could easily be attributed to the high vitamin E content of almonds. Sunflower seeds are one of the few other foods that contain higher levels of all 8 forms of vitamin E than almonds. Keep your omega 3:6 ratio within a 1:2 ratio with some flax or chia and youll be good.

Something I've noticed is that a LOT of people in the West have no idea how to eat nuts. Here are some rules most people follow where I live: 1) Only consume soaked (preferably for 6-8 hrs) and sprouted nuts. 2) Always peel the outer skin off (if possible) before eating the nuts - especially for almonds. 3) Do not eat nuts by the bagful! You're only supposed to eat 5-10 pieces in the entire day (unless you make nut butter of course). 4) Roasted-salted nuts are very occasional snacks and not the same as the soaked-sprouted nuts eaten for nutritional benefits.

My theory on fiber is that rather than fiber having an isolated benefit that everyone needs, it's actually just helping problems that are caused by refined carbs; it explains why studies show a lack of fiber leads to so many health issues, while carnivore community can skip the fiber without having issues. Hope I can see more studies of fiber in carnivore and keto groups rather than just the standard american diet.

Still wasn't quite right though. Carnivore and Apple Cider Vinegar is what appears to have helped reset me 100%! I can't tell you how much I appreciate being normal again! :) I'm down to all my "safe" things and slowly adding back to see what I get along with and what I don't. It's along slow process, but totally worth it.

What about Almond Butter, would it be easier to digest?
@mybeautifuldoggies
@mybeautifuldoggies 11 месяцев назад
@@Rubs009 Eating almond butter may mean that your body would be able to absorb more of the nutrients, compared to not chewing almonds thoroughly, which would lead to almond pieces just passing through your body, losing those nutrients. But that is not the issue mentioned here. What we're referring to here is a substance in the skin of the almond, which protects the almond from being eaten by pests (insects) -- it serves as an irritant, or a poison. For some people, this substance causes irritation in their bodies -- digestive system or otherwise. That is why I suggested soaking and removing the skin. If you made almond butter with skinless almonds, that would also solve this problem. 😊

My lifestyle habits • Only drink and cook with distilled water (removes 99.9% of contaminants from water leaving just H2O) (two Megahome 316 deluxe distillers (£180 each) - 4 litres each = 8 litres in 5 hours (every day/ every other day at 550 watts each = around £50 per month electric cost)) - municipal water comes from the river Thames and the filtration process cannot remove particles below a certain size so unless the water is distilled it can’t remove toxins such as heavy metals, medications (such as agricultural run-off; antibiotics, hormones, vaccines, pesticides such as glyphosate and atrazine (study showed male frogs exposed to atrazine grew ovaries and could bear offspring) etc.) and medications urinated by other people), microplastics, bacteria, viruses, salts, etc. (it is estimated there could be more than 50,000 different chemicals in municipal water). Then it is treated with chlorine, fluoride and synthetic vitamins. Plastic from bottled water can leach into the water and is also non-distilled except nestle smart water but is in plastic and has agents added which are mentioned next • Chlorine (chloride) (swimming pools, municipal water, bottled water), fluoride (toothpaste, municipal water, bottled water), salt (diet, ocean, municipal water, bottled water), synthetic calcium (calcium carbonate (chalk)) (synthetic vitamins, toothpaste, white flour, municipal water, bottled water) are calcifying agents which means they accumulate deposits in the pineal gland which is located in the center of the brain and is responsible for producing and secreting melatonin (energy levels and sleep) and I would also say mental lucidity and so I avoid these sources to avoid these agents Don’t put anything on skin that you wouldn’t consume because skin just absorbs it into system - • Don’t use any or only very minimal use of non-harsh/ non-toxic chemicals • Wash with distilled water (small bowl and flannels), wash hair by leaning forward into a big glass mixing bowl and scratching/ massaging head, I brush teeth with Oral-B pro 3 electric toothbrush without toothpaste (sometimes with food grade charcoal powder) and use Humble Co plant-based floss picks (occasionally swish with organic bicarbonate of soda), wash hands with distilled water and sometimes small amount of diluted food grade ethanol (100ml mixed with 37ml distilled water then put in 10ml glass vial bottle to carry) • If I get any municipal water on my skin I rub it off on my clothes • While you can absorb water through clothes by doing laundry and so I used to wash my clothes the old-fashioned way by rubbing them together in a bowl of distilled water but I tried washing them in the washing machine on high heat to kill bacteria then tumble-dried them then rinsed them in distilled water but after a while stopped rinsing them in distilled water and just wore them and I experienced no problem so I don’t rinse them anymore and just wear them, I also now use a 15l stock pot and boil my clothes with 200ml 5% white vinegar for 15 minutes to kill bacteria and spores. Spray shoes with Dettol disinfectant crisp linen • Only use pure cotton clothing (or pure wool or pure linen) and pure cotton bed-linen because plastic (polyester, nylon, polyamide etc.) off-gasses (chemicals released as gas) which enter the body (I use; M&S 10.5 tog duck feather double duvet with cotton outer, M&S firm duck feather pillows with cotton outer, in summer soak and sleep 2.5 tog pure cotton double duvet, amazon NIYS cotton sheet king £14 (I use mattress suspenders to hold it on), amazon linens world cotton duvet cover double with two pillow cases £20) (take linen if go to a hotel) (also boil bed linen in white vinegar and use Dettol disinfectant crisp linen to spray duvets, pillows and mattress) Diet • Try to eat only organic whole foods (free from pesticides and in case of animal products antibiotics, hormones and vaccines) • Don’t eat fish because of heavy metals, microplastics and fluoride content • Don’t eat added sugar or sugary foods • Don’t eat added salt or salty foods • Use distilled water and wipe cooking-ware, plates and bowls with a cotton tea towel before using and wipe cutlery with a tea towel to get soap film off before using which can damage gut lining and kill the microbiome • Use BPA free plastic for water bottles and food containers (sistema) and use PTFE/ teflon and PFOA free cooking-ware (procook professional ceramic) • I have noticed in the past some foods can have an associated effect (such as heavy metals or calcifying agent), because of this to try new foods I take a small bite and wait an hour and don’t eat at restaurants Reducing stress and blood pressure • Mindfulness moments of stopping for periods of deeper breathing and checking in with heart beat and blood flow • Slowing down thought - maybe try thinking or talking like Severus Snape from Harry Potter or agent Smith from the matrix: clear, calm and calculated Exercise • Jogging, light-weight and bodyweight exercises • Increases feel-good chemicals to improve mental health and helps with feeling tired for better sleep Fasting every so often • Eat last meal early then don’t eat again until same time next day • Fasting makes the body go into autophagy where cells that are dysfunctional undergo ‘pruning’ and processes that are unnecessary are put on hold because the body prioritizes survival • (Consult with doctor if necessary and increase calorie intake so to not lose weight) Blue light • Minimize/ eliminate blue light exposure which is strong enough to damage the eyes and suppress melatonin production which prevents sleep (bright tells circadian rhythm its sunrise/ daytime and time to produce energy) • Use a low lumen projector (ViewSonic M1 mini (120 lumens)) with settings on low brightness and orange tint • Put night light mode on laptop • Wear orange tinted blue light blocking glasses (UVEX skyper glasses with a pair of no cry glasses over the top) • Put night light mode on phone and low brightness Sleep • No blue light sources one hour before bed • Don’t sleep with phone by bed/ put it furthest away or on flight mode • Turn off electricals that don’t need to be on and don’t sleep with head on side of the bed next to a wall because electrics are interpreted by the brain the same way that light is and so it’s like trying to sleep with a light on • Make room as dark as possible • Sleep with a fan for background noise (EasyAcc mini) • Have classic FM on a sleep timer or a talk or lecture

What you said here though is like a synopsis of my own life learning around food and digestion etc. I feel so validated right now. lol But I still haven't been able to adapt to hardly any fiber. Two meals a day spaced out with a third small meal or snack. All lowish fat, lower fiber, medium carb and high lean protein seems to be best, generally. My gut health has always been poor and it's not until my later years that I am trying to do something about it. IMF has been a life changer. There are so many foods I have sensitivities to that I'm always at some level of inflammation. To periodically remove all food out of the equation to give my body a break has been wonderful. I still avoid the foods I have sensitivities to but I can now eat other foods in moderation that previously would have set me off (like Carrots - if you have hay fever your body sometimes sees this as grass and it gets triggered) just because all my other sensitivities are high. As for almonds - yeah I can't do many of those either - previously I was fine with them, as I got older, not so much: very limited raw, can't do almond milks. I also cut out alcohol 100%.

Agree , when i was eating lots of carbs + decent amount of fiber probably around 25-35, I never had any problems with going to the bathroom. Once upon a time i tried low carb keto diet with 20 carbs but i was probably eating like 40 fiber or more a day (because of insane amount of veggies i was told to eat) i was heavily constipated and my life turned into hell, then i tried carnivore which means 0 fiber and this ruined my entire life, everything was even worse than with very high fiber. My conclusion after all this experience is eat what your body tells you to and be smart about it, try out things very slowly and carefully, my last 8 months was extreme hell and now im tryng to heal my gut to get back on my high carb unprocessed diet where i felt amazing. All this happened to me was because ive heard from someone that if i change my HC diet to keto right away its going to change my life in a good way forever and here im struggling everyday. I haven't been a heavy drinker since the 80's, but when I decided to beat diabetes, I stopped drinking altogether, and aside from an occasional red wine (which I still don't drink) I don't miss it. It's hard for me to eat too much saturated fat because I avoid too much heme iron, which seems to come with it (red meat.) I feel better when I'm eating a lot of wild salmon, and getting an avocado a day. I also seem to do better when I eat fewer nuts, but for me, I think it's somewhat empty calories (I.E., not meat, by which I swear.) PS: N=1 applies to the one. I have absolutely no issues with low fiber.

Apparently Almonds, like the seeds contained in many pitted fruits, contain Amygdalin, a cyanogenic glycoside, which as the name suggests, breaks down to form cyanide(!) Too much of it can clearly overwhelm our ability to neutralize it via liver etc. While we might have a tolerance for small amounts of 'antinutrient', some people are inherently more sensitive and reactive to such things vs. others who have become desensitized/numb with respect to what might in fact still be harmful to them. That's why elimination diets can be useful, to restore that sensitivity - assuming it's not linked to a decrease in the species of gut microbiome required to digest it? One thing I learned from Gundry is to always look up 'Antinutrients' with respect to foods - e.g. shocked to find that 'Dry sorghum has very low levels of cyanide but as sorghum soaks its cyanide content increases immensely'. It's also why eating too much of one food can trigger intolerance to that food - something my old naturopath instructed.

Here's the list of the 8 things. Much of it is anecdotal, he admits: 1. Grazing. Have now have breaks between meals (and often some degree of IF) 2. Medium fiber intake. He contest that you should either: a. Go zero fibers (carnivore) b. or Much fiber (lots of veggies and fruit) = his preference 3. Stopped ignoring my mucosal layer: Be hydrated + Bone broth + Collagen powder 4. Stopped drinking alcohol 5. Stopped looking at the gut isolated. Instead look at the body as a whole. 6. Stopped doing elimination-diet (eg. AIP = Autoimmune Paleo) a. It limits the bodys ability to handle food-variation b. And it created fear of selected foods (don't wanna live in fear) c. My addition: Maybe try elimination-diet if you have certain health-issues. If you establish a food allergy, or a food intolerance, you can try introduce it in small amounts (micro-reintroduction) - rebuilding some level of tolerance. (Regarding this, try search: "Scientist reacts to Mikhaila .... ") 7. Consumed too much saturated fat (gall-bladder issue running in his family) 8. Stopped eating loads of almonds (he used to eat them all the time)

But I guess we all have to just deal with the information we have at the moment.

@TheBroLounge started off as lower back pain for several months. Then it was like a pulled muscle on my left side. Then it felt like I had a Ballon in my pelvic area. Thought maybe it was an enlarged prostate. The pain was everyday. Most days it was a 4/10 on pain chart. Some days after working it would be 8/10. Had MRI done that diagnosed me with mild diverticulosis. Weird because 2 months prior I had a colonoscopy and that came back good. I been drinking a ton of water and taking fiber supplement and seems to take the pain down to about 1/10. Don't know if I'm hypersensitive to the area or still in light pain.

For those in need of fiber, I HIGHLY recommend keto tortillas. Check the bread section of your grocer and they likely have them, I'm seeing them in more places. They taste almost indistinguishable from a regular tortilla, usually have 4-5g net carbs, and have a ton of fiber. I've bought ones with 22 grams in just one tortilla. My only minor complaint with them is they get pretty stiff if you heat them up and if you warm them a little too much they will dry and crack when you roll them into a burrito or taco or whatever.
