The Kolb experiential learning cycle is the most widely recognized and used concept in
Experiential Learning Theory (ELT). The simplicity and usefulness of the four-stage
cycle of experiencing, reflecting, thinking and acting is the main reason for its popularity.
It is an adaptable template for educational programs that actively engage learners in in the
learning process. Content by Alice Kolb

Hello, Miago: Thank you very much for your feedback. Would you rather have no background music at all? Can you please suggest your music preference if you do want the background music? Thank you Alice

@@EBLSed Having music is good, it can help listeners stay engaged (like ted-ed videos). However, this music sounded ominous and almost scary. It should have a lighter tone.

Is it weird I kind of liked the music, kind of hypnotic, but I like strange. Maybe turn the volume down a bit if it's a problem for people so it's not as "overbearing". Unless your are trying to hypnosis us 🤨

Can I ask for help? What is the importance of reflection in experiential learning?
@musingsofaprimaryschoolteacher

I think it's to look back on what you did, how you did it, what you said or resources you used and the result you got. Did all the above help you to achieve the learning goal? If no, then what can you change next time? What can you remove? What can you add? What can you re-jig? If yes, is there a more effective approach? Reflecting helps you to evaluate the previous learning process and plan for the next one.

Learning styles are a very problematic concept. Before you decide to follow this theory, please, read also something by critiques of it.

It's a bit out of date as Learning styles theory is now proven to be total bollocks. The rest of it's okay, but it relies on 1) being conscious of your incompetence and 2) aware of how an experience might have affected you subconsciously. Kolb is VERY limited nowadays .

what would you recommend as supplement? or to use in stead which is more "up to date"?
@zucchinirosti

I personally think that kolb's model does encompass the whole experiential learning process, but it is a very generic framework and require the educator themselves to substantiate and support it with knowledge and experience. On a different subject, I think the video did address the issue with learning styles being too pigeon-hole and over-simplified.
