Bring additional credit cards as you can easily exceed your limit if staying 10 days. Rent a Canoe Lake Loiese for $155.00 an hour.

Great information! Just fyi, we are 4 months out from our early August trip and the Lake Louise shuttles are already booking up. No morning shuttles left at all, we had to do 12-1pm.

Lots of people going. In this, and many other beautiful places now limit access (for good reasons) so early planning is essential.

My husband has mobilty limitations. He walks fine on flat land and trails, but not so much on bumpy trails. With this in mind, would you change any of your advice? Fabulous video! The best I've watched!
@JourneytoAllNationalParks
@JourneytoAllNationalParks Год назад
At Lake Louise, the lake shore path is good. At Moraine lake, you would not be able to go to the viewpoint but can go down lake shore path there also. Takakkaw Falls is very accessible. Emerald Lake shore path going clockwise is also good. The boat ride on the big lakes are also good. Walk on the glacier may be problematic if he can not steady himself on slippery surface.

Do the crowds thin out after 5pm? When we in Europe all the tour buses seemed to pack up at 4:30pm. Thanks for the great video

Yes they do. In the summer, you will still have plenty of daylight after 5.

I've watched a few on these and I really like your videos because you give us the tips on how to avoid crowds. My wife and kids are forced to go when all the sheep go in the summer and nothing infuriates me more than all the bozo crowds that show no appreciation or respect for these truly magnificent National parks. I loved your stat that the average person to visit spends 15 minutes at a site. Haha people are such bozos, just stay home and stop ruining this gorgeous scenery to those who appreciate it. Anyways thanks so much for the hiking tips too, will definitely be using alot of your advice. Subscribed!

How many average total days trip do you suggest? For all 3 parks . Is it worth to stay 2 nights in Canmore if we are flying in at Calgary?
@JourneytoAllNationalParks
@JourneytoAllNationalParks 5 месяцев назад
We flew into Calgary and spent 3 nights at Lake Louise and 3 nights at Jasper. The place we stayed at in Lake Louise was excellent but the town is much smaller than Banff or Canmore so if you want restaurants and services, Lake Louise doesn't have much. However, Lake Louise is closer to the lake and Moraine Lake. Jasper is an excellent town! A week total is probably good if you only do a few hikes and want to drive the length of the Icefield Highway - highly recommended. Yoho is also worth a ful day.

I can’t find the Fairview picnic area on google maps.

It's not marked on Google Maps. If you find Paradise Bungalows on Google Maps, use satellite view, then go a little to the east (right), you will see a little clearing with a parking lot in the trees. That's where it is. Let me know if you find it.

you walked from Paradise Lodge to Lake Louise, but what transportation did you take to get to Moraine Lake? Do we have to book? What is the price? THANKS
@JourneytoAllNationalParks
@JourneytoAllNationalParks Год назад
See the 4:51 mark in the video. Once you book a Parks Canada shuttle to either lake, you can take the connector shuttle that is free if you have a ticket that day for either lake. We purchased the ticket to Lake Louise, walked there, and took the connector shuttle to Moraine lake.

@@JourneytoAllNationalParks you don’t have to check in at the shuttle main parking lot? You just show them your reservation?
@JourneytoAllNationalParks

@@td4812 We did not. We just walked to Lake Louise, lined up for the inter-lake shuttle, and showed them the "ticket" that you purchased on line.

@@JourneytoAllNationalParks Thanks so much for the great info, whats the link to book the shuttle in advance booking? I was checking the hotels and lounges in August at Banff its quite expensive even in Canmore not a big difference.
