1. Stop removing the hair 2. Avoid tight clothing. Wear loose and breathable fabrics. 3. Wear sunscreen if exposing the skin to daylight. 4. Use a barrier cream (diaper cream) 5. Use a moisturizer with AHA 6. Hydroquinone cream applied at bedtime to clean dry skin. 7. Topical vitamin A applied at bedtime to clean dry skin. 8. DON'T use hydroquinone for more than 4-5 months
just a few years ago I thought I was the only woman with dark inner tights in the world, I'm glad I found this channel, thank you doctor for this movie
@@girldes yes, it's true, it is a very embarrassing problem, there is little talk about treatments for these areas of the body, so I am grateful for the fact that there is this movie and other women share their methods
@@jestemkamieniem7681 I find it so hard to figure out what’s true and what’s phony. It’s such a struggle. I’m like what the heck can I do? Can I put tattoos on my inner thighs to cover it up? But no that’s too weird.. plus I need to get rid of the bumps. Friction is the devil I tell you. It’s just an ugly situation down there, its in need of help. But I’m cluelessss.
My gosh, I thought I was the only woman with this it's none of my friends have this discoloration. They wear their swimsuits with no issues. I was also a dancer and was so thankful for the nude opague hose that we wore when performing as they covered the discoloration up.
My inner thigh was never noticeably dark until my weight gain and my chafing issues. I plan on loosing weight and using these products ! Thanks! I hope they work. The discoloration honestly isn’t a big deal but the discomfort and rash is.
@@Littlekitten_ yes, but it didn't work for me. I ended up doing other things to lighten them a bit. My legs are also wicked pale. I've started using deodorant on my inner thighs to lessen friction, and also using an exfoliant to encourage turn over of my skin cells. Then, I use a lightening cream.
Try Papaya glutathione and mulberry lotion. This lotion contains extract of papaya, mulberry extract, glutathione and vitamin c. It has lightened my inner thighs and underarms. I use it as a daily moisturizer. Hope this is helpful.
I always thought that that area was "naturally" a tad bit darker, now I don't have really an issue, not with discoloration in any case, but I can imagine this can be a huge problem for people. Thank you for this video. Looking forward to tomorrow! :)
The other day before I saw this video I decided to use my ordinary lactic acid 5% and Carave lotion on my inner thigh after I broke out after shaving. The next day it a much lighter and the brake outs almost gone. Im glad i to see that I was on the right train of thought to solve my problem and not the only one that deals with this
So interesting that you mention the different strengths of retinol and their effectiveness. So many RU-vidrs talk endlessly about how they are "adapting" their skin to higher and higher percentages of retinol for more or faster results. As always, thanks for the info! :)
When I wear skirts, shorts or dresses and I know I will definitely start chafing. I apply deodorant it so works doesn’t let your legs burn when they chaf and it lets you Rome worry free
So y'all... My inner thighs are so dark they're like purple! I bought ground turmeric, olive oil, baking soda, a cup of Siggi's plain yogurt, and manuka raw honey. The yogurt really made it pasty. I put it on my thighs at 2 in the morning and slept at 2:30am. I woke up at 10:30am, used my brown sugar and olive oil scrub to get rid of the dry pieces and rinsed... And then I realized... Where did it go?!?!?! The dark spot, the length of my hand... Was GONE y'all GONE!!!! I think this should be sold in beauty care somewhere. I literally just eyeballed everything. I got a medium size cereal bowl and filled it about half way with turmeric. Then I added half as much baking soda. I added a lot of olive oil, enough to saturate thoroughly all the dry turmeric. Then the manuka honey, the one I have is an 8 oz container so even if it looks like you used a lot you always have more when it settles, so about 1/3. And then last but not least a cup of Siggi's plain yogurt. I am a fan of all their flavors but that one, too plain, so it's perfect for concoctions! The yogurt really makes it into a perfect batter, not too runny but like a pliable clay. I know this was not asked for, but I also applied it to my bits and my purple labia and surprisingly they are a shade lighter. Slower than the rest but definitely shows improvement!
@@hokageari1746 When I woke up 8 hours later! I know that over night isn't everyone's thing. Maybe if you leave it on 30 minutes to an hour every other or every 3 days, you'll definitely see changes! Even within the first application you will see a result. But the longer it is left on, the better the results.
Before anyone has anything else negative to say about this post, let me clear it's name for you. Yes, you have and you will see this comment on many videos similar to this one. Why? Because I unselfishly wanted to let as many people know as possible that the results I had worked and wanted to help another person. Is that a bad thing? Now days, it's always people looking out for themselves, but why can't we look out for one another? Stop looking at things so negatively and think positively would you? Thanks.
Some fail to mention is “overweight”. I say this with “ because not all overweight have dark inner thighs but just the fact that your thighs rob against each other, due being bigger thighs is also a factor. Losing weight or training your legs in way so your legs don’t rub against each other also helps ☺️
wonderfully explained. Thankyou Dr.Dray. But guys along with 1. AHA exfoliant +physical barriers+skin lightening agents(ambifade cream), 2. I would also recommend thigh tightening exercises. else you wud be stuck in a cycle -{ chaffing-hyperpigmentation-skinglightening-chaffing} and exercise can double as an easing factor for PCOS and also Type 2-DM. pls try it.
YOU DONT NEED TO LIGHTEN ANYTHING. YOURE BEAUTIFUL SIS. AND IF YOU DONT LOVE YOUR IMPERFECTIONS THEN TRY TO FIND WAY TO LOVE YOUR BODY ❤️ LOVE YOURSELF’S QUEENS! 👑
I'm insecure about the discoloration but to my knowledge I don't have PCOS. Can you guys tell me a little bit about that and how you got diagnosed? Thank you! And did you notice this discoloration from a very early age?
I never thought much about it but one day when I was wearing shorts one of my friend asked me if I didn't scrub my thigh area. Damn I became so insecure after that
Tried the AmLactin products from a free sample at Walgreens a while back .. true love on site .. contain rich emollients and other creamy humectants that work in concert with Lactic Acid to instantly hydrate, plus relieve roughness. Use daily to reveal the skin’s underlying healthy-looking texture and appearance. AmLactin gently exfoliates plus deeply hydrates to relieve rough, dry skin. That’s
I had this issue from gaining weight from my last pregnancy but I used the lighten cream twice daily for 2 months and disappeared. And thank God because it caused me to have insecurities in my sex life with my husband. But hands down it's works 100%
Dr. I mean this in the nicest way ... but you looked a lot more alive a year ago ... you are one of the nicest people on RU-vid ...and so educated and informative... I wish you health and love ... please take care of yourself ... you have a lot of fans and love from people that depend on you for all that you do ... xoxo
@@syaheeraroslan8873 I got both because I'm desperate lol. I felt like its faster when you have both. I don't layer them instead I use aha lotion in am then differin at night
I use my lower percentage of tretinoin (0.025%) on my armpit and my inner thighs every other night, combined with AHA BHA face wash-- and my armpit looks better now.
I don't have dark inner thighs, but my lower butt is darker than the rest of my body. I have tried almost all home remedies but nothing worked so I decided to try more expensive products like Paula's Choice Skin Revealing lotion and it has lightened my skin a little after about 2 weeks of use. I'm also using a local butt scrub and serum with glycolic acid alternately down there. I just want to wear those cheeky swimsuits so bad! I'm so jealous of women who can show off their ass cheeks 😂😂😂
Hello Dray Bae!!!!! You are the best!! This makes sense. I just gave birth 2 weeks ago and had gestational diabetes! I have a dark pregnancy mask on my neck, armpits, and inner thighs! I do see my dermatologists today. This helps so much!!!! Thank you for the tips!!!
*If you want to lighten your skin,* *lemon juice is a great natural option.* _It contains acids that lightly bleach the skin and exfoliate the top layer of darker cells on your face while being gentle enough for sensitive types too!_ To make sure it's not irritating though, mix 1 part pure lemon juice with one part water before applying so it doesn't sting as much when applied. Let this sit for 15 minutes then wash off using warm water afterwards - _just be careful if you have any open cuts or abrasions because citrus fruits can irritate them!_ _Hope it helps!_
I’ve used the Ambi fade cream on my neck and unfortunately that ate right through my skin. It gave me a rash so bad so I had to stop using it. Mine is caused by my type 2 diabetes but since I’ve lost some weight it definitely has lighten up. I might have to check out the other products for the inner thigh area.
Great tips!!! I use Lanacane/Monistat for chafing during the day to avoid too much friction. Thank you for a great video again Dr. Dray. Have a great day ☕
I struggle with this. Thanks for the tips Dr. Dray. My thighs is getting lighter, thanks to using The Ordinary Peeling Solution, and retinol. It's still dark down there but much lighter than what it was before.
Hi Dr. Dray! Went to Walmart today (needed more sunscreen) and I found “Palmers Fade milk” that claims to even out skin tone/ dark spots on the body. It’s main ingredients are: Alpha Hydroxy, vitamin c and e, and SUNSCREEENNNN!! lol could you pleaaaseee review it. Thank you so much. Love you!!
I try everything, and nothing works. But I start IF and the dark go away in like 3 month’s completely, I don’t know how but, one day I was shaving and 😳🤯 white again 😍🥰
really interesting that this is connected to pcos, I've suspected for years that I had this as I have all the symptoms except for infertility/irregular periods. It started at puberty, which you don't mention here, but that hormonal change seems to cause dark inner thighs for many women too.
😀😀😀❤️❤️❤️ can you do a video on healthy makeup like Jane irdell also, ways to prep the skin for surgery to reduce scarring. Say for example someone knows there getting surgery they want to reduce scarring then after care!😀
Dr.Dre this video is very helpful because no physician would ever discuss this condition with me, much less offer a solution. It has been such an embarrassment and I have none of the medical conditions mention but this started early during late childhood or possibly my early teens I assume due to friction. I am so thankful for the tips that you have provided and will try them and hopefully get results. I guess I would know by now if I had PCOS? Anyway, if it works I guess I'm going to have to send your kid to college one day although that won't be needed there'd be so many scholarships coming his or her way!!👭❤ your kids, and even Tybee, would be brilliant just like you!😊
I have this issue on my armpits. I stop shaving for a while and my armpits lighten but they still do get dark eventually...I would love advice for that as well.
Chelsy Lynn hey girl!!!! I had this problem too! I used a mixture of Indian clay and acv and it worked WONDERS for me! Also I took a pumice stone and LIGHTLY “dry brushed” my underarms. I did this with my knees/elbows and I LOVED IT. this is what worked for me :) it’s worth a shot!
Also, way more expensive, but I switched to laser hair removal. It made a huge difference. My pits aren't completely lightened but it's definitely in much better shape than when I waxed, shaved or let it grow freely.
had my Pcos since then i noticed that my inner thighs and down of my butt was getting darker.. i will try to use those Dr. Thank you so much.. GOdbless
very strange but i tried Ambi for post acne marks and it works great. but i tried it on areas of friction hyperpigmentation and it actually made it noticeable darker even after just 1 week!
Dr Dray pls make a video for darken bikini zone. How to lighten it up? is bleaching ( laser or cream) effective? Recommendation treatment or cream I will be very thankful for your help 🤩
Can you make a laser hair removal for people of colour!!? I’m so worried to go to get it done but I’ve herd such bad things as different lasers affect different people?!? Thanks!
I have done Brazilian laser hair removal and it is heaven!! I’m Mexican and have been darker down there all my life, so I can tell you it’s helped out for sure.
In what order do you use the Ambi Fade Cream, Differin and (Amlactin) AHA lotion, again? My understanding is to use the Differin and Ambi Fade Cream together at night and maybe the AHA lotion/cream the day after. Am I right?
Can you do a video on fresh stretch marks? I’ve been working out and gradually shedding weight. I’ve been losing a pound or 2 a week so my skin can keep up with my weight loss. If that makes sense? Ok thank you! 🤩 you da best
I love Amlactin for my dry feet and legs due to my type 2 diabetes. The rest of my body parts tend to love Cerave products. Thanks for the tip with the hydroquinone.
Thank you for being so informative. I have one of those medical conditions and I thought I could do something about the coloration, like RU-vid tips. Now I know I need to make an appointment with my doctor 😅
I have pcos and insulin resistance lol, diagnosed at 12, I'm 29 now... Once I got everything in order after a few years the dark around the back of my neck (only visible when you really looked), went away.
She has a video about knee and elbows . Its called "Fades " She recommends using Urea 40% and lactic acid 12% twice daily. Watch the video its really informative.
Dove clear tone deodorant is what helped me!!! Try it !! It works . I used to have really dark armpits and that deodorant helped so much . Give it more than a month
Papaya, glutathione and mulberry lotion worked and is still working amazing for me. It has lightened my inner thighs and underarm. I use it as a body moisturizer. Kojic acid also work for some people. Hope you find something that works with your skin type.
I battle with PCOS and so i had dark thighs and underarms , i also had occasional acne. However using Papaya, mulberry and glutathione lotion has made a great difference.I have used it for almost a month and my inner thighs are lightened and my acne are cleared. I will suggest you try that.keep me updated
@@chalklover983 is called kstimes Papaya and mulberry Even tone cream. It contains papaya and mulberry extract, soluble collagen and vitamin C. Also if you can afford it, get their Tea tree oil acne cream and always apply that at night before bed. These are all hydroquine free, that is why i use it.
