I'm usually not one for a lot of color but I can definitely get on board with some muted or natural accent colors here and there. Great tips on how we can incorporate them in our homes! 💛
Thanks for the great tips! I love colour, am not scared to use it. Colourful decor and fresh flowers are my favorite ways to add colour because they are easy and fun, easy to switch up and play with!

I love accent walls so much. Or with colour or with texture I always try to enhance a wall. That office for your mum and the new bathroom are definitely my favourite makeovers of your... Obsessed!
I really like the idea of greenery because it doe not just make a space look alive but they clean the air your breathing and the apace feels more narury.
I love color and bright accents! I've tried almost all of theses ideas., but haven't done the accent wall yet as we may have to sell our condo in the future and I want to keep it neutral for that reason. We do have lots of colorful pictures on the walls! 😀
When I want to add colour I usually go for bed linens, pillows and decor pieces!! I can never commit to a more permanent colour for a wall for example, I always find another colour that makes me second guess my choice and then it's back to the drawing board so to say 😅

We painted my daughters living room the bold color like yours. I wanted to do one wall but she wanted to paint the entire room. And she has to see it everyday so we painted the entire room. It looks good. She’s been in the house now about 6 months and she has it decorated so nice. I love it! It’s my father in laws old home and we rented it to her after he passed. It certainly doesn’t look like his old home. I know he would love it. I wish he was here to see what’s she’s done. Next paint job is at our house. I am painting my hall. We sold our big suburban home three years ago and bought a home in the country. It was a repossessed home. Witch I totally recommend to a person who doesn’t mind a little hard work, but actually when you purchase a repo home the banks are required to make simple updates. Like new appliances. And fresh paint. Only the fresh paint is very thin and not washable. I like a good paint with a primer. Something washable. I hope the color I picked looks good. It’s a light grey. Because it’s a hall I didn’t want to go dark. Ready to get it done. It’s just a hall so a days job. But I know I will want all the walls done when I see the fresh paint. Well, one wall at a time. I resently found a way to bring some colour to the living room. By changing the pillows and plaid, to a “golden brown” from Ikea. Really makes the couch change 😄👏🏻
Love color and find white-black-beige-everywhere schemes simply boring. But I was never completely sure on how to add color and not overdo it. Thanks for your tips) I think adding color through curtains would also work, right?
Hi Kristen, I love your navy wall! That is what we were going to do in our living room but then decided to do a pallet wall, so I thought I better keep my other three walls white. But I still love Navy!! I may pull a blue color into my dining room or kitchen. I have cabinets from the 90's if I could get my husband to agree to paint our cabinets navy on bottom and white on top then maybe use pallets wood in our dining room. What is your opinion?~! Would it be to much to have pallet wood on one wall in two rooms. ? Thanks for your opinion!

We just moved to a house and my color palette is dark wood furniture, white, gray, black, navy and silver metal throughout the whole house what pop of color would you recommend for me to add ? I’m a little afraid to put a color that might not look good 🤔and thanks for all the suggestions 🤗
Ana Rodriguez if you’re a little afraid of color maybe start by introducing a neutral shade of tan through leather accents, baskets, wood! It will help warm up your color pallet💛
Is there no one who uses color anymore? every Diy channel i watch is farmhouse? except Traditions by the Seasons , Liz rocks with using color! Glad to see you using some color Kristen. It just gets very boring to see the same colors and decor ,channel after channel. I'm unsubscribing to many and so are my friends because of it.
