The "dont explain yourself to them" part really hit home with me.. that one took me a long time to understand why.. and its because no matter what you say, or where your intentions were, it will get twisted into something it wasnt ever meant to be and used as ammo against you!

Already had enacted most of the 8 ways - not to put him in his place, but as self preservation. Feel sorry for him, as he is not skipping through life with everybody fooled. He’s a sad & angry victim that i finally had to let go and realize that i was not a bad person for doing so after he threatened to shoot me at the end of his last witnessed rage towards me. I had to attack back because my attorny told me so (complicated story, but true and legally absolutely correct). The outcome: I lost my last engagement as a professional musician. But there was no other way. It's now two years ago - and all my friends who saw the truth but weren't able, willing or aware enough to step in to support me either left the orchestra or are playing along now. It's heartwrenching, disgusting, sorrowing. On the bright side: I'm financially now far better of in my new profession, I'm now in my new profession considered and recognized as a professional teacher and musician, and most importantly I'm no longer narcissistically abused. Therefore I was able to recover my health and overall life quality.

All because I wouldn’t drop everything I was doing to help her fill out her visa paperwork. She wasn’t going out of the country, but she had to have help that minute. I wouldn’t comply because my brother & I already had plans to go to the movies. So she kicked me out of the house , told me I was out of the will & I was dead to her. For about 7years I tried to see her but she wants nothing to do with me. During Covid, I made a bunch of beautiful masks and sent her some -she returned them back. Whatever. number 2 is the best way. from what ive seen its like narcissists are addicted to drama, experiencing drama, causing drama, watching drama, and instigating drama. they love drama no matter if they are the bad guy in it or not. they constantly chase drama, so if you don’t get emotional towards their drama, feeding their ego with your reaction, they will be confused and stunned. some may try to push more but some will just disappear to bully someone else because your reaction is too boring.

The best advice I have for people dealing with narcissists is to remove yourself from them. You won't win at their game because they're energy sucking vampires & when they've consumed enough of your supply, they will move on leaving you an empty shell. Even if its a family member or a co-worker, grey rocking them with very little consersation & a yes or no answers only.

UNLESS your child and grandchildren are the victims. 😢 In her drunken state, traumatizing my grandchildren, I told the granddaughter (who was able) to come upstairs. Their mother assaulted me, I called the police, and she was arrested. She got out, my son, along with her BLAMED ME! I have an emergency protection order for a few more days at this point. He packed up the children and sent them with her to her enabling parents when she got out. I'm told I'll never see them again. 😢 Only prayer and the grace of god is getting me through.

Police reports. You do it or have someone do it for you. Have a big strong man friend give him a talking to. Seek some help from professionals. Secretly record/video your interactions. No one should be bullied or forced to endure violence in their domestic lives. Call 911 or yell out for someone to call 911 if anyone can hear you. Take your daughter to visit a trusted family member or friend. Do something for yourself so that your daughter will be able to see it; that it is important to stand up for herself and to do what is right and good. You are more than you think yourself to be 💪🌻🦋

We didn’t come to the door, so she starts banging on our bedroom window & our baby’s window… we woke up in a panic! My husband goes out to see wtf, and she’s gone! Then calls and says she stopped by to bring another bday gift for our son (his bday was months ago) I couldn’t help but flip!
