This is great, thanks Tina. I'm 60, I haven't done any exercise in forever and am very overweight. I was stiff as a board and everything felt 'tight'. I've been doing week 1, once or twice a day for about 7 days and I'm already seeing an improvement. I can now grab my feet in Staff pose (I couldn't do that when I started), I can now straighten my legs and touch the floor and my breathing is much deeper (when I first started I felt as though I couldn't even fill my lungs properly)... I love that these are short sessions, which means I can just drop them in to my day and I don't get fed up or bored with it. I have a short attention span, so these 10 minute sessions are perfect and because it's not too much I seem to be sticking with it. It's great to find something that doesn't launch me into an hour long session and assume I know what all these positions are... Absolutely great Tina, thanks for putting these together!

Thank you Tina- I’ve been doing your yoga videos now everyday, and they are great. I’m just shy of 69! I’ve been active all my life but have only started doing yoga this year. It has helped my stiff muscles a lot and my lower back. Thank you!

Phew !! Tina , , I followed your instructions ! however , just got over covid also overweight and 71 this year ! I felt so awful thatt i am so tight every where ! so rigid , yet I walk dogs everyday ( 5 weeks since I walked them s I live alone and have been very poorly) I will follow your course daily Tina combined with a healthier diet lets see what I can achieve with your help in the coming weeks ! I couldnt even get my hands flat !! I shant give up ! thank you x

Hi Maria, I love your attitude and positivity, well done! 👏It is so great to hear you are determined. My advice is little and often, just do some yoga every day, and don't be hard on yourself, do what feels good, listen to your body and you will be fitter and more flexible in no time. I was a faithful follower of Bikram Yoga from my 30’s into my 40’s. After years of physical difficulties, my Doctor has now given me his approval to resume any physical activity I chose. So glad I found you!

in my late 60s, tried yoga for the first time a couple of years ago and went to a therapeutic yoga class faithfully for 6 months - loved it, made quick progress and felt more flexible than I had in years. But then COVID, and a trip back to the UK and I fell off the wagon. Thanks Tina - I've committed myself to your 8 week programme - SO stiff and aching but it's never too late! Day Two week one marked off the calendar.

As a 68 year old woman who is very stiff I so much appreciated the gentleness of this beginner class. I will continue to try to do this. I have a bad (stiff back) and this seemed to help along with the back exercise you did. Thank you.

My mom is always so stressed and I want to see if she find peace with yoga as I do so this is a relaxing tutorial for her to start with. Today, yoga tutorials are always for younger people so to find something my mom can relate to is great and I think it's a niche that I'm happy you have given us

Hi Just beginning your 8 week class with my partner Ilse, she is 69 and this her first foray into any sort of exercise so your slow and steady approach is perfect and has not scared her off as many of the "so called" beginner classes most certainly would. I'm 73 and did either yoga or pilates for many a long year until the pandemic and then it was at home when I felt guilty at being a slug😂 So not only are you getting us both into activity mode, Ilse is sleeping better and to hear your Essex girl accent is great too. We live in Brasil but I'm originally from Essex myself but my accent is long gone now. So tchauzinho and thanks for the videos ❤

Hello Tina, I’m 75 years old and for some reason stopped my morning stretches for a while. So to get back my body from stiff to nimble again. When I saw your 8 week plan I was thrilled. It’s been only one week but I feel so much better. By end of 8 weeks I’m hoping my aches and pains at night will go away. I’ll keep you posted.

Goodness me, I can't believe how stiff my body is. I couldn't lean forward at all doing seated ragdoll (glad I was in my own home 😳) . I am determined to keep doing this and become more flexible. Thank you Tina, I have subscribed 👍

Never have done yoga. This was a little difficult for me. Mostly the downward dog. I need a bit more arm strength to accomplish that. Also, not able to fold forward very far when seated. I am hoping to get better each day. Thank you for helping me get more flexible. I am committed!

Wonderful little beginner routine! I've been doing yoga for 5 decades on & off. I get stiff when I don't keep it going so I still enjoy well put together beginner routines or even on days I just want something simple & easy. I love that this course repeats the same routine for a week at a time; it's easier to get the most out of the movements when you know what's coming. Variety comes by the time you're ready for a change.. Also I find the instructor's demeanor especially calming. Thank you so much for it.

I was just laying in bed and decided to have a look at your website, got straight out of bed and tried your 1 week challenge for yoga, lol 😂 couldn’t touch my feet or the floor however I am not giving up, as I need to get myself moving after being in lockdown in Australia and doing nothing except cooking, so thank you for your video

This is what I thought I could do , slow, gentle start, having never done yoga now age 60! I started w/ this video that says week 1, so I do this routine daily for one week? Then week 2 for 1 week etc? I then saw the 7 day video after I did this one… going to stay w/ the this one for now. i am very stiff, lots of leg and low back pain, and some of the moves were hard to do so some modification needed… giving myself grace along the way…thank you for this!! Very helpful….

Thank you Tina. I tried with your video this morning but am so inflexible that I can’t get anywhere near what you do, for example, when you do the rag doll where you are bent right over and are you are reaching around to the back of your legs. I can’t reach my toes - only about half way and my back is rounded. Downward dog, my heels were not flat on the floor as in your demo and when on back, experienced horrible vertigo. I no sooner managed a peek at the screen to see if I was anywhere near what you were up to and you would be moving onto the next position. All your follower’s comments seem to say everyone is following easily and finding it amazing and I feel that I am just struggling. I was hoping to build flexibility and have tried on and off over the years but progress doesn’t seem to happen. Is it worth doing if I look nothing like the poses?

Hi Katrina, thank you for your comment, and I really would like to help allay your concerns regarding your flexibility. Firstly please realize my instructions are purely for guidance and there is no need to look exactly like me, it is my belief that Yoga is about how you feel rather than how you look and you are striving for progress rather than perfection. So take it slowly and gently, listen to your body and go at your own pace. I promise your flexibility will improve gradually if you keep at it, I was the most inflexible person ever right up to my mid-thirties. Yoga has changed my life, so please don’t give up, be kind to yourself and most of all enjoy the wonderful benefits yoga has to offer. I love your yoga videos and enjoy doing the sessions. For the weekly challenges, e.g., the 8 week challenge, do we do the challenge for each day of the week before moving on to the next week? Are the benefits better? Does it matter?

Hi Yuki, yes you do the same video each day for a week and then move on to the next one, but you can of course, do it at your own pace, moving on whenever feels right for you. Hi Tina, have only just found your videos, I find the seated ragdoll really difficult as my back is very stiff, please can you suggest a modification. Thank you for sharing these doable routines, looking forward to the 8 week challenge.

Hi Helen, so glad you are enjoying the videos. The modifications I would suggest would be to keep your legs together or hip-distance apart, depending on the position that allows you to fold forward with ease and you could also place a bolster or pillow under your knees if they are bent. As always, listen to your body and come down only as far as is comfortable, it may be that your hamstrings are tight and causing stiffness in your back, so loosening them up before you do this pose should help. Thank you so much Tina, I practiced yoga for 20 years, until I spent a year in Hospital with depression in 2012. Have only now begun to look for yoga again. Your sessions are the perfect length for someone coming back who is tight everywhere! Would it be possible to put all the ads at the beginning please? It's a bit jarring when you've just finished one posture and getting ready for the next 😊

Hi Tina! This is the 1st week that I have been working with you and I love it. I'm 70 and my back and legs are so tight. I can't just get up and start walking. I have to get up slowly and then start walking. I was going to do pilates but that wasn't walking too well. Then I found your site and it's great. Thank you so much. I will working out with you everyday for the next 7 weeks!!! Everyday is ok, right?

I'm 69 and wish I could be as flexible as everyone else seems to be. I can't grab my feet when folding forward or put my feet flat in downward dog. It would be helpful to have some truly beginner suggestions or words of encouragement! I already feel bad that I can't even do the week one exercises!

@lornageraldineleche5700 Lorna, please don't be discouraged, none of the poses have to be perfect your feet don't have to be flat during downward dog, as long as they are pressing downwards, thats great, you could also try chair yoga. Maybe give this one a try and remember to listen to your body and be kind to yourself. Thank you, beautiful lady for these wonderful videos. I work with seniors, and I'm 53 with challenges myself. So im wanting to participate in the 8 seek challenge for myself first, but also with the goal of bringing others into it. So I'm looking through the videos, and have questions. Is this 10 minute video the only video you suggest for week 1, or are there other videos specifically for week 1 as well?

Just started yesterday, and with just one session, I felt so energized in mind, body, and spirit! I worked my volunteer shift with a new zeal! My challenge after this morning’s session is controlling my breath. I find myself breathing hard, so I’ve been trying to work on that. Thank you so much for these delightful videos!

I am now in my 70's I used to do yoga in the 1970's and 80's and not had done any yoga since. I started doing doing each of your yoga challenge's since January and I am feeling so much better and more flexible. Your yoga is at a gentle pace and not difficult to follow and just the right length of time for someone getting back into yoga. Thank You.

I must be super inflexible because I found some of these stretches quite difficult. I used to do yoga stretches 15 or so years ago, but I found I am no longer able to some of the stretches in this video. For example, I cannot do downward dog. I also can't touch my toes and I definitely can't put my fingers underneath my feet. Do you have any modifications for these particular stretches, like a modified downward dog, for example?

Hi Robin, thank you for your message, I think first and foremost, don't be so hard on yourself, you are coming back to yoga after several years and seem to be focusing on what you cannot do, rather than what you are able to do, take it slowly, if you can't touch your toes, just come down to the point that is comfortable for you, place your hands on your shins and have a slight bend in the knees, and the same with downward dog, bend the knees and ease into it, in your own time. Your flexibility will return gradually, practice little and often each day. I like the pass and simple instructions. This says it's for beginner seniors. Maybe I'm too senior (75 almost 76), because I can't even touch my toes, much less bend as much as you show. Maybe you would expect that, but it would have been nice to mention a beginner isn't expected to be that flexible when you first start.

This is brilliant and very welcomed gentle yoga for us 60+ folk.. I have never attempted yoga before so nice to find something that isn't scary !! However, I have a lot of arthritis in my hands and can't place them flat on the floor... I can manage if I have them in a fist, would this be acceptable? ?

Thank you, I use to be athletic, was shocked and embarressed when I struggled to do beginning yoga. Not struggled ... could not begin to make it half way through. Your short straight forward first week yoga has helped me, encouraged me so much. I was having a burn in my lower back. After doing this the first time it stopped but came back latter that day. 4 days later I no longer have the pain. Now!! When I get out of bed in the morning and no longer hurt and shuffle for the first 15 minutes I'm up I will be a true believer. HaHa Seriously thank you

Hi Tina . I just wanted to say how much Iam enjoying your videos. I have completed week one just starting week two already I can feel the benefits with my breathing and flexibility.. I was made redundant just before Xmas and to be honest I was becoming lazy , now Iam up at 6.30 I do my yoga challenge and it sets me up for the day with energy and a happy outlook.. your videos are easy to follow not rushed I find them soothing and relaxing.. you are doing a great job
