I think that's the late Joel Crothers in the Jetta commercial. At the time he was playing Miles Cavanaugh on "The Edge of Night".

Looks like the work of Tom Yohe, who drew many of the Schoolhouse Rock cartoons, on the Nationwide Insurance ad.

WPTV and WEWS in Cleveland both had the Circle 5 logo compared to the Circle 7's in San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, and New York.

Finally! Local ads from my part of the world. Those Marcus Jewelers ads ran well into the 2000s. The store just closed its doors only a few months ago after 34 years, and yes that Action 5 News set was atrocious. :)

That's what I thought. But appears to be Palm Beach based on the addresses in the Nationwide Insurance and Florida Stereo ads. Ch 5 is ABC in Cleve. These are from NBC. So if you look on wptv . com it's Ch 5 NBC. But man is that the most horrid an awkward angle-looking news set I've ever seen!
