The Subaru Brat had two rear-facing seats mounted in its bed. The 80s were such a different time with regard to safety and regulation.

Had to look up the game that this was off of because I noticed the Soldier Field columns! Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears with the Vikings winning that day 34-14.

my grandma used to work for GE in memphis, tn and she worked i think as a lamp tester cause the plant in memphis only made lighting stuff :)

I worked at a fancy pants grocery store where I'd carry groceries out to people's cars. A lot of people had old volvo wagons from the 80s and early 90s, with those rear facing seats in the wagon part. I wonder how many people died before they realized that was a bad idea.

So much awesome...That Pocket TRS-80 was some high-tech stuff in 1980. Hard to imagine that 15 years later you could buy something similar for $10. I loved those old Ford Trucks commercials, carrying the competition on the bed! Is that Estelle Harris in the second Transamerica commercial, with the fridge?

I enjoyed the CBS Sports Spectacular promo with motorcycle racing and the U.S. Roller Skating Championships. Keep in mind these ads aired in September. Today it seems every sports network inundates us with college football on Saturdays in the fall.
