These commercials aired on WMSN in October of 1986
1. Trix
2. WMSN Halloween Safety PSA (Brought to you by Rayovac and Burger King. The Jem Halloween costume that girl is wearing is both cool and terrifying)

4. Watchimal (Too 80's)
5. Promo for "Rainbow Brite"
6. WMSN Commercial Bumper
7. Promo for "Transformers"
8. American Academy of Periodontology PSA (Yay creepy puppets! LOL at how quickly she says "I love you")
9. Promo for "Inspector Gadget"
10. Promo for "Smurfs' Adventures"
11. Promo for "Thundercats"
12. Promo for "SilverHawks"
13. "The New Scooby Doo Movies" End Credits
14. Promo for "MASK"
15. "Heathcliff" Commercial Bumper
16. Pop Tarts

18. Kid Sister (Wow, I've only ever seen the ad that features My Buddy/Kid Sister...I never knew they made individual ads for each doll)
19. Promo for "The Jetsons"
20. "Heathcliff" Commercial Bumper
21. Honey Nut Cheerios (With Victoria Jackson)
22. WMSN Commercial Bumper (WOW, I have no idea what the image here is supposed to be, but it looks like it would make badass cover art for a Sega Genesis game or something)
23. Potato Head Kids Schoolhouse (The crude stop motion at 9:16 is pretty neat)
24. Promo for "Leave it to Beaver"
25. "Heathcliff" Commercial Bumper
26. Centurions Action Figures
27. McDonald's
28. My Little Pony Beddy-Bye-Eye Baby Ponies

Wow, WMSN in Madison, Wisconsin. This was my hometown Fox station growing up. It was also my most watched channel for cartoons growing up. Thanks for the memories. And no, I have no idea what the heck that image at 8:53 is, but your Sega Genesis art answer is as good as I could think of. That music in the background sure doesn't go with the image, though...

So many cool cartoons and Centurions toys. Great stuff and a decade that many surely miss so always good to have a small part of it still.

I love that little girl's Jem costume. I used to have the same one

Awesome mix! Three ads with Peter Cullen, some of my favorite cartoons from childhood, and a promo for the centurions toys which I dearly wanted as a kid but you could never find the action figures only the expansion uniforms. By the way the transformers ad is from the classic season 2 episode where a bunch of autobots disguise themselves as the stunticons and menasor one of the most awesome episodes of that season.

I make a new tradition to watch the WNUF Halloween Special, which is a throwback to 80s programming. They pretty much hit the nail on the head with the commercials capturing that genuine 80s feel. The Rayovac Brite-Lite one on this one hits those notes. I once heard someone say the commercials didn't feel real enough. If you lived through the 80s, especially in a smaller town/city with it's own stations and local commercials, yup, that is pretty much how it was. Growing up during that time(being a kid during the 80s was AWESOME), I appreciate when movies get the 80s right, and the decade is presented more like it really was rather than being a spoof of nothing more than trends. If you binge on all these wonderful commercials or even old home videos, old television programs such as specials or news broadcasts, you get a true feel of what this decade was like.

The cartoon lineup was very similar to what I saw here in Houston on KTXH branded and known as 20 Vision in the 80s (now My20 Vision) as I was growing up. Brings back a lot of sweet nostalgia memories!!!

The Trix Rabbit turning INTO a rabbit? That was probably his greatest plan and it STILL didn't work! You gotta admit it was a cool flashlight promotion from a TV station of all things. Too cool AND Too 80s! All these cartoons were on ONE station? For Heathcliff, Transformers, MASK, Smurfs Adventures, you had to go to WPIX. For Silverhawks, Thundercats, and Rainbow Brite, you went to WNYW and for The Jetsons, to WWOR, all in New York. THAT 2ND WMSN BUMPER IS CONCENTRATED NIGHTMARE FUEL. But yes, it would be a Genesis cover from a launch day release, for sure.

It's a cliche, but kid's programming just isn't the same anymore. Look at the line up of classic cartoons in this volume.

Best Trix commercial ever! I'm not too crazy about the Kid Sister doll, but the commercial has one thing going for it. Kittens!

@80sCommercialVault
@80sCommercialVault 7 лет назад
They did...the term "millennial" is used to describe the generation of children born starting in the early 80's. I was born in 1984 and watched a number of these cartoons.

+80sCommercialVault Actually, its used to describe those born in the late 80s &arly 90s. Those born in the early 80s are part of gen x/y.

Oh boy, Thundercats, Silverhawks, AND Centurions. I had toys of them all, but the Centurion ones were the most fun. I wonder if they'll bring them and the Silverhawks back at some point.
@OzzieAstaroth

Casimir1100 Yeah, they'd have to do it right. They did try to bring back Thundercats, and while it was a good show, it didn't work out either.

I remember this lineup and commercial bumpers because I was in 5th grade at the time, but I remember it from KTVT Channel 11 "The Super Ones!" out Dallas/Ft. Worth. Thanks as always 80's Commercial Vault!

Heathcliff-loved the show's theme song Transformers/MASK-anyone reading that new "Revolution" comic series..? Interesting take on how IDW is bringing all of the Hasbro properties together(TF/MASK/GI Joe) Thundercats-also currently doing a comics crossover with He-Man Silverhawks-i think we're about due for a revival of that show..

For some reason, that Trix commercial seems very familiar. And yet, I was born in 1992...

Promos for Transformers, MASK, Heathcliff, Jetsons 80s, Gadget (those Capeman episodes SUCKED), and Silverhawks? The majority of my early childhood right there. And seriously, what the hell is with that Bumper? Would love to know the story behind it.
