Go Home by Stevie Wonder is the background music in the SUper Seconds commercial at the beginning of the video. WTAF become WTXF Fox not long after this.

I don't know what's scarier - the local TV kids club guy or the "living doll"! Looks like the good Cap'n needed a little backup from Jem - too bad we didn't see the outcome!

So, you had the Transformers and Go-Bots on the same channel? I didn't even think that was even possible. Also (and with apologies to James Rolfe for paraphrasing something from his Cheetahmen II review)..."Yeah, next time a tornado comes into town, eat a bowlful of cheerios and try beating it up like Popeye and see what happens."

Both Transformers and GoBots ran in first-run syndication and were not affiliated or tied to a particular network.

That Three's Company episode is a John Ritter tour de force.

This may be the perfect 1980s block of cartoons. @1:08 I can still recall the prime time special that introduced Thundercats. But I was sure it was '87. @2:01 Not gonna lie. I wanted a Pound Purry. I wonder if they considered "Pound Pussy"? Nah. @2:32 Question: I get that Barney is doing Indiana JOnes but is there significance to the color of his outfit? Seems out of place. @2:55 My local Fox afilliate also had a Kids Club with a wacky guy like this. So it makes me wonder what brought on all these "Kids Clubs" across the nation @3:33 G1 Transformers and GIJOE.. there was nothing like it! @4:30 Nationally Advertised? Shoot, I'm just used to local advertising. You have my attention now! @5:33 Laverne & Shirley.. Mork & Mindy.. MTM productions were perfect @6:30 I also watched JEM on Sundays @8:26 Holy .. it's GEORGE CLOONEY!! @8:54 New Gidget. LOL. I watched this show. (Anyone ever see the New Monkees?) BRAVO on this PERFECT collection of 80's shows!

My sister had the gray striped Pound Purrie they used in the commercial. She named it Whiskers, too (inspired by the commercial, I'm sure. Me, I named mine "Purrie." How original of me). Interesting how they used footage from the original 1984 MLP special for the MLP 'n Friends promo. Must've been when they butchered . . . . um, I mean edited it for the series (sorry)
