Wow. That BMW needed to have a mod to well match the Porches power to weight ratio. That Bimmer is heavy as hell! And yet it managed to beat the Porche when the driver finally got his dig timing reaction just right. 😂
That’s because people intentionally talked so much crap about the XM, saying how slow it was. Now that it’s out in the real world we are now seeing how it really performs.
The M8 Competition (2024) requires 10.8s for the quarter mile, making it BMW's fastest production vehicle. The XM Red Label is 0.4s slower on the quarter mile, despite the 820kg it weighs more than the M8 Competition. This is brutal. In a half-mile race, the XM would certainly defeat the M8 as well.
@@Raptile07 power to weight plays a factor too , the M8 would beat the XM 1/4 & 1/2 mile .. noW if the XM had weight reduction & probably 100-110 more hp it would wipe the M8 for sure
@@Infamousdee240 I'm also aware of that, but aerodynamics also play a role and on this point the XM is a rolling tank, so your argument is insignificant. After half a mile, the XM would certainly be the winner. I doubt that the M8 has a chance against the XM. A corresponding race would be very interesting.
i think it looks cool, maybe not from the back, little weird but i gotten used to it,the front end is ok,looks a little odd ,but i wouldnt call it hideous
Man that XM driver is just happy to be there and forgot it was a race lol…. I look forward to seeing more races with it with a different driver. Cayenne GT is impressive as always.
I did and it’s slightly better than a base model time, this is a tuned Label….. as I said I look forward to a larger sample size of this new BMW platform
Dragtimes Awesome Video I think it's awesome that Eddie's BMW XM Label Red did so well against John's Cayenne Turbo GT with Downpipes and I think Eddie's BMW XM Label Red should go against an Urus Performante and a DBX 707
Close race , clearly BMW has more power with the higher trap speed but does the Porsche have a tune like the BMW? Or just the downpipes? That could make a difference, great video like always Brooks 🙌🏼

I don't know much about new BMWs but I got a 1200 wheel horsepower Fox body when on 35psi and I was out having fun on the streets during Texas 2K and some of the BMWs I raced M3 M5 got to be making 800 +already.. it took me 20-25 psi to beat them
The S58 engine is pretty nasty, especially on the AWD model cars. They'll gap the shit out of 1000+whp cars on full boost from a dig on the street, and it's not that difficult to get them to trap mid-to-high 130s.
@@rustler08yeah they were impressive for sure man.. from a dig and from a roll I was impressed... If I could afford one of those as my daily on top of my other toys I would do it in a heartbeat... The Best of both worlds
I am actually interested in buying one of these 2 ,not a big fan of g wagons or SUVs generally , my heart says the cayenne turbo gt ,brain says the xm ,the xm is nearly half the price of that gt with alot cheaper extended warranty /service package , the cayenne coupes are old now they've been out with that shape almost 4 years ago yet porsche has it all when it comes to quality and performance
3rd race tells the whole story.. The Porsches consistently 1/10 quicker 60’ times stretches the lead by .15 at the 1/8 and ends up .05 ahead at the 1/4, even with the BMW’s big power and subsequently higher trap advantage. 60’ times are critical!
Dude my jaw dropped at that shirt LMAO. Not that I disagree with his sentiment, but damn that is a seriously crass shirt to wear out in a public setting
man that xm label red hauls ass tho, i dont know probably unpopular opinion, but i like how it looks, I know some pepole don't like the looks of it but i dont.
Is it just me or is the cayenne kinda slow ? At Carwow it did a 11.2 1/4 mile on an unprepared surface. I’ve seen tests on street with 11.1s . I think the cayenne needs a tune for the downpipes, maybe not enough pressure in the downpipes.
