Coming up. A combination of two interviews with the co leads of 80s synth band Wang Chung, Jack Hues and Nick Feldman who wrote several hits that defined the era. Here we find out that their 1984 hit Dance Hall Days was well desired. The biggest icon on the planet at that moment Michael Jackson wanted to record the song, but wanted to change the lyrics. This 80s group declined and instead of being on one of the biggest albums of all time in Thriller it became this band’s debut hit single… the story is coming up on professor of rock

I’m excited to bring you another episode from our series Revelations- where featured artists go deep on their greatest songs.
On this installment of Revelations, We are going to do a deep dive on the 1984 classic Dance Hall Days by the one and only Wang Chung. This was one of my favorite songs as young lad growing up. I actually had a Wang Chung poster on my wall and bought their first record points on the curve with allowance. So I was very excited to get the story behind this one. This is actually a combination of two interviews I did, the first is with both Jack Hues and Nick Feldman before a show they did in LA and the other is a Zoom call I did with Jack recently I though I knew this song back to front but I learned a great deal from these interviews including the fact that Michael Jackson very much wanted to record this song for Thriller. There’s also a revelation about Paul McCartney that will fascinate you. This was such an interesting interview, you’ll want to watch the whole thing As we go into this interview, I want to thank our sponsor Zenni Eyewear which is all I wear now Add some style to your reopioratare with blue light protection , go to the link below, design you own pair and have them shipped to your door.
