Breakdancing in the 50's is the best...how did the black in America copy breakdancing in Africa ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m652OEgk68Q.htmlsi=Joj6gQHCo9-YySgH
After seeing what I’ve seen of the Olympics Breakdancing, I had to come here to verify that my memories were not distorted. This video shows the real deal, true athletes!!!
This my era as well, how cool it was miss these days, you'll never see days like this again. Imagine bloods n cripps instead of killing each other they break out in combat break dancing!!! 😂😮😢😂.
Hell yeah my era too. I was 12! Rock Steady tge legends. Kuriaki my favorite RIP man. That scene in Beat Strert at the house party where he takes over the floor , then he and apex face off. Hell yeah the classic line “So what’s up with that Punk”! Classic ! The best era!
Absolutely fabulous dancing love the choreography! I don't see kids doing it much anymore where I live ❤❤❤ it was so much fun to stand around and watch them
I don’t think it possible that they could sadly, kids of previous eras were strong, from being outside a lot and from less junk food, other reasons, etc. Hopefully kids today have other advantages.
It’s mind blowing how breakdancers were so much better back then. Fast as lightning but smooth as hell all at the same time. It’s definitely not the same today.
It was created in 1950 by Africans in Kenya . How did you come by it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m652OEgk68Q.htmlsi=Joj6gQHCo9-YySgH
@andrewjones2133 - the REAL gangs wear blue uniforms and badges. The REAL crooks work on Wall St and got away with a multi trillion dollar economic collapse, that tax payers bailed out. Make it make sense 🤷🏽
Nah that man was probably a pop & lock icon from the 70's. Growing up in the 80's in NY, I remember break dancers doing this but they took it to another level with body & hand spins done on the floor. Dance was not only an acrobatic skill, but an expression.
I get it most of the dancing wasn't popping and locking like the fellas in LA, But theses guys were doing much more in break dancing in NYC that includes the Boogie Down Bronx
First gen b boy here. I was 10. did not know what i saw. The moves i see here. Some of them i did too. Could not dream or imagine that they would do move these days were impossible to think of back then. Such as stand on 1 hand and bounce a little. Watching this makes me wanna go aback to these times. The clothing, music, school and the people in general were more chill then these days. Less fighting and stand around in a circle that was the gang. no blades, guns, fights, and we all be happy and dance our feet until they was on fire. Talk all day with your mates. no phones and social media.
Wrong. They were into it in the 70's. There were guys like Spy, members of the Rockwell Associtation, members of TBB, members of Rock Steady Crew, and many more in the 70's from the Bronx and Manhattan.
Crazy that now Breakin can do far more difficult skills it is less popular and very much a minority thing. Not own set of flares absolutely no air flares. Just shows that you need to be aligned with current music. Afrobeats/Amapiano is leading the current dance trends. But still the nostalgia is heavy

Stockton California in the early 80'. My family friends all thought I was nuts but there is no more skilled dancing than this. Proud to be be part of the days
@@drewcrew2101 You are 30 years late... people were breakdancing in the fifties 50.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m652OEgk68Q.htmlsi=Joj6gQHCo9-YySgH
Talk about letting the buzzing warp your head people now aren't more talented than they were back in the 70s,,80s and up its called evolving!!! Just like the kids in 2040 will look back at 2024 and say how much they changed!!! Trying something different and changing this move and twisting another way yeah its going to evolve no generation is better than the next generation!!!! I remember when they were just what they called poppin and lockin and some back spinning too now they're doing some crazy shit like spinning on the back then somehow going into a head spin then again somehow doing some antigravity Giro moon walk lol no not better just evolving
To me the 80s brought all cultures together then Break dancing to me greatest the street dance culture became recognised as a dance art like Ballet, Ballroom etc born in the ghettos now has recognition as a dance art nothing can beat that
It's funny how Black people went from 70's street Hip Hop to 2024 Hip Hop making millions of dollars and being on BET Hip Hop awards keeping Hip Hop alive.... Big up to the true inventors of the word of Hip Hop!!!!!
This is how the kids form the Boogie Down expressed themselves in the '80s, it caught on and spread around the world like a wild fire that burns to this day!!! Peace to all worldwide B Boys and B Girls
Back when chit was Fresh! Straight outta the package. No cookie cutter, no followers.... originality was mandatory. Biters got dealt with. Best decade ever. And it lives on. Breakers, Graffiti Artists, DJs, Emcees... This is the blueprint... and will never be duplicated. Legends never die. ♥️
Old school the best. Now it's all rubbish and an evil atmosphere. Back in the 80s i was a teenager used to body pop to school, lunch Home time on the streets during holidays At home. 83-to 86 was brilliant for body popping and breakdancing.
0:50 damn that bboy does his spin on the tip of his elbow's 🥵🥵. I have seen bboy Morris doing that but that was wide open leg and continuous motion after flare . This is on different level 🔥
