They were always a sweet bit of kit ..... I ran one of these back in the day and after a few rides it became pretty easy to use ..... Keep up the great work mate
I've bought a new dropper seat post and cable on sale for £76 uk pounds. I've seen those retro ones before I might put one on the gary Fisher DIY Electric bike. Now I know how to do it. The old dropper seat adapter is more expensive than my new upto date one 😅😂
Nice vid! I eventually managed to get a rental bike in Melbourne on 24th Feb and do some of the trails - one part is also in this video. Big support from Czech Republic
Your next challenge: find and install an IRD remote lever to actuate the device from the handlebar! I put a search out for one to go with mine but it proved almost impossible to find one so I gave up. But I can confirm they do exist...
@@garysprojects Now that I would love to see. I currently don't have that kind of time on my hands, but I would bet that it could be done with a friction thumbshifter and some sort of cam assembly. What a video that will be!
Don't wanna be nitpicky but in your previous episodes i don't recall you having background music. I really apreciated the direct approach of film makings w/o bells and whistles. Just my personal opinion, don't take offense. I just like having no music in the background. Love your vids anyhow
All good mate I appreciate the feedback , I have been putting music on for the shorter vids (e.g. the last basket vid) as well, I find it helps. However don’t worry, the longer 1hr vids will be the same haha !! (If anyone else has preference on music or no music reply here, thx!)
Thanks for the response, very welcoming of you. You might not realize but you are one of the channels of youtube that made me start this hobby aswel. Now it's been a year or two ago i started fixing old bikes and i learned a lot from your work habits en ethos. Calmly examining every detail, no rush. That's part of the enjoyment. I don't see it as a side hustle but the hobby pays its self somewhat. That's really nice. Thanks for all the vids influence you had on me!@@garysprojects
Interesting.. .your Diamond Back has a very similar paint scheme and color as the one i am working on from time to time.Mine however must be entry level as it has diamond back tubing and one piece chainrings. Probably will put it on the back burner until next winter lol as i have other projects 😂
