80s Remix: Post Malone - Circles '85 

Austin Richard Post Sr. better known under the name Pre Malone (Born in 1957) was one of the most influential singers of the 1980s and early 1990s. Post began to play guitar and took interest in music at an early age around 7 years old. When he was 13 years old, he caught the attention of various labels while singing live for a musical TV show and in 1971 he began his music career under the production of Alan Parsons who was very impressed by young Austin's talent. While Pre Malone's success was quite modest throughout the 1970s with a few singles making it into the edges of top 100 for a few weeks at most, his breakthrough came in 1982 when he released his single "White Iverson" that got #2 place in the charts for 6 weeks in a row. In 1984, he also released the worldwide hit "Better Now" that went #1 place in the charts for 7 weeks in a row and his album "Stoney" got 1 million copies sold in less than a year which won him a Grammy Award in 1985. He also went on to win Grammy Awards in 1986, 1987, 1989, 1991 and 1993. His best singles also include "Circles" (1985), "Go Flex" (1986), "I Fall Apart" (1988), "Goodbyes" (1988), "Rockstar" (1989), "Congratulations" (1991) and of course the notorious "Deja Vu" (1992) done in collaboration with another superstar and official Micheal Jackson rival: Justin Bieber Senior. Despite having huge success in the pop music scene, he was unfortunately found dead in his apartment in December 1994, murdered by an unknown man as the case still remains unsolved today. His son, Austin Post Jr, took the stage name Post Malone in order to honour his father's musical talent and he often makes covers of Pre Malone's biggest hits in memory of his father and hopes to shed light on Pre Malone's killer by financing a private investigation of his own.

First saw him live as support act at the Glasgow "Barrowlands" for popular Scottish group "Big Country".

Too bad Coke took him in 89 His nephew Post Malone did a great job remaking this song as a tribute to his late Uncle Pre Malone Rip

Probably my favourite one of this take by far. The guitar bits and the one solo part near the end really sells it for me, as I'm really into the older more classic Rock genres. I'd love to see more like this. Late Edit.: Still come back to this often. The lyrics, the meaning even, are something I relate to on a personal level. Been thinking constantly.. A lot has been on my mind these past years, especially in these recent months. The remix (Along with the song itself) help me somewhat cope with it in a sense. Thank you, Boggin.
