Hi & Happy New Year to the Channel. I have a 96 80 Series. Recently, i have noticed the fuel gauge stuck about the half way. (so is this a fuel/sender pump issue?) Also on 2 occassions after i have filled the main tank to full, i have noticed fuel leaking from ontop of the main tank (i assume from the pump) Is there risk of fire under this circumstance?) And thridy, i am having starting problems now where the engine is winding over but wont turn until the vehicle is warm? or the fuel has been pumped into through to the carby? So i normally let it sit until 10am then start again. This is a back up vehicle to my work hilux dual cab but my main local tourer within FNQ (Cape York) any tips would be greatly appreciated. G'day Right off the bat, get that leak checked NOW!! Yes there is a fire risk. Sounds like you have fuel pressure issues all around. Also check your fuel filter on the motor. You must h a 've a 1FZ-F if the engine is carby. The fact it won't start until warm means there are a number issues both fuel pressure as well as ignitions
