I think it's hilarious to see a "British" female police officer in a hijab. As a non-muslim Indian I would say if you are in Britain or per say any other country that you immigrate to, then you should respect their country and assimilate into thier culture. The British Isles embraced Christianity for many centuries. America had a very strong set of Christian values in their founding. But post WW2 that has faded away in both our countries. Those values need to return. Freedom to practice an incoming religion is fair, but that religion should be subservient to the religion under which the country prospered for hundreds of years.
This country is now becoming ungovernable due the loss of British identity and vales. The value of tolerance we have given the world is being used to undermine us, one of the biggest mistakes was not integrating immigrants fully in society, instead we allowed them to live in communities that were a microcosm of the places they left. There has been some progress but their loyalties lie elsewhere, being Welsh I can understand this however I'm proud to be Britiah Welsh. The problem is that many see themselves as religion first, country of origin second and maybe British third. I would say looking at the media that very few migrants even second/third generation see themselves as British in any way, that is our biggest failure.

When I gave Australian citizenship exam it said the constitutional law is above any religious law in case of conflict. I guess its same in UK too.
