I have honda xl 125 9 kw, nice bike its enduro but Im 6,4 foot, its verry old bike but it reliable 4t engine, Im begginer so its good for me

For trail a 4 stroke is definitely better because of less maintenance and smooth power

When you’re 5 feet tall and 100 lbs and the 125 bike weighs 200 pounds it’s exhausting to ride in single track almost impossible to lift up. I’ve been researching the KTM 105 XC or even the TC 85 big wheel with recluse to try and find a happier middle ground because for a 100 pound rider coming from a TTR 110 going to a 200 pound bike is a bit much, myself at 6 feet tall weighing 190 pounds riding a 240 pounds FX 350 on long single track rides starts to wear on you so I can’t imagine being 100 pounds and running a 200 pound bike would do. In BC we have a lot of single riding with roots and rocks. It’s very narrow and steep. Lots of hill climbs.

Yep, I totally get what you're saying. While weight plays definitely plays a role, I've found that there are quite a few factors other than just physical weight. For example, a lot of newer riders that we've had over on our trails are often gripping too hard with their hands on the handlebars (deathgripping) to try and stay in control, especially on technical sections. Your hands aren't meant to control that much weight, and it's a common sign that they haven't formed a bad riding habit. Sometimes it's needed to "manhandle" a bike to prevent falling, but there's a lot of room for improvement if you tense up and squeeze every time you see a root, rock, or hill. Does that make sense? Not to mention the snappy power of an 85 is much more exhausting, in my opinion, than the smooth power of a 125 4-stroke, even though it weighs more.

I have both a ttr125 and a rm85 and boy… the 125 is a beast on trails.

1:01 wait what was that sound they make again when it’s run low .? lol jk bro good video man you are exactly right most of the time those are my rpm’s 3 to 400 and 7 to 900 , I’ve got a wr250f four stroke it’s wicked in everything it’s a 2023 I’ve also got a 2024 yz250x two stroke it’s a totally different beast wow that thing is fun to ride my son rides that more then me lol like you said I ride the four stroke more it’s easy not as much clutch but you still need it in the technical single track woods stuff plus these newer bike have adjustable fuel and ignition timing to tune the bike exactly the way you want it to . Wicked bikes

my 450 is to big and powerful for me. I'm wondering if I should get a 250 2 stroke or a 65 cc two stroke or maybe a ttr50 four stroke? Do they make three strokes? What i'm really looking for is a bike the goes weee euhhh weeeeee uhhh weeeeooowowowooww, without tooo much wugguguguugguguugug, or braaapppaaapppapapappapa.
