On 15+ Mustangs there is a plug, in the engine bay, above the left front wheel. It is the plug for the LF speed sensor. Unplug and ABS, traction, etc is disabled. For me, it's easier than remembering which fuse to pull. Great job!

Yep both methods work. Some of the air boxes block the plug so it’s easier to just pull the fuse

nice to see an na warrior. i have a 8500 revving gen 2 comp cams cobrajet as well, but with opgs/cs and monoblade. I did it because I came from the Honda world. Love high revving DOHC VTEC, but tired of old rusty cars. My S2000 was my favorite car until my Mustang got built. Knew the Coyote could give me Honda RPM, plus should be good for 10's. Also I have an Evo X with a full frame turbo kit and other stuff, that I had before the Mustang.... No reason to boost the Mustang and have 2 unreliable ass cars. Cars are supposed to be fun not frustrating. I can always depend on my Mustang to be ready to go, and take out some boosted cars as well.

Holy crap!!! For a 15% drivetrain loss 525 is 617 at the motor!! I just bought an 18 vert with the 10 auto. Thought of having a NA Stang put this much to the wheels is enticing. 🇺🇸👍💪🦅

My first love will always be NA. Awesome job. Beautiful ride. Just curious though.... Air doesn't like to make right turns. It doesn't matter in boosted applications, but do you think that air inlet pipe is hurting at all?

@@Taylordtuning My dad use to tune SBFs did a lot of work on 351 Cleveland's a well tuned one would easily make 700 plus HP the trick was using the correct cylinder heads. With the Coyote Werewolf Iron block you have a lot of interesting Stroker options. Keep rocking!

@@Highlander1432 where these have the port and direct injectors you can do quite a bit on them before needing to upgrade, but even then a simple 47lb injector like you’d do on gen 1/2 cars would give you tons of headroom as well

We were able to get it drive really nicely even with that throttle body. The intake is ported and he’s on the com stage 2 cams. He was originally going to do ported heads be all too, but he never got to sadly. Still an awesome setup. I’ll definitely be posting more soon! Thanks

Yo hows it going man? I left usa for while cause of covid getting bad but planning to return on July and do the injectors and fuel pump on my frs with smaller pulley and push over 300whp. You down to tune it? Lol

Any torque loss with that CJ manifold? How does it drive on the street in the low to midrange band? I've considered this mod but my car is pure street and I'll hardly get any chance to enjoy power above 7K+ RPMs.

The manifold it self doesn’t looks low end power. Cams can reduce low end torque to a degree but with vct and good tuning the low end loss is minimal still. Either way if you aren’t planning to rev the car out then I wouldn’t worry about it. Headers, cai, and flex fuel are going to get you really good gains

It will be faster period. It don't lose anything down low if you have a good tuner doing your tune and it will gain alot past 7k. It isn't that hard to get these things past 7k ecspecially if you have a 10 speed its crazy gearing lol. Its not like you gotta be going 150 mph to feel the power gains from a cj you can easily enjoy this power on the street unless you just ride around and never get on it or go WOT for more than a few seconds at a time (why wouldn't you enjoy the car? Lol) anytime you go wide open or anytime you do a roll race against someone or run at the track its gonna shine. It won't lose anything in other aspects of driving. It will shine alot more ported and with cams like this car..

Taylor, how many RPMs can the Gen 3 Coyote handle? With a Tune mine hits 7800 rpms. I see you hitting it much higher... Whats the deal?

They can rev 8000+ easy with out upgrades cams or anything. This is on comp cams with stock springs installed still.

Do you recommend the cobra jet or is a ported 18+ manifold, gt350 spacer, and bullit ported throttle body going to work good with the cams?

Both manifolds will do really well, but the cobra jet will carry the power out much further in the rpms and have a bit more overall

When dynoing these cars just unplug the TC/ADVTRAC pigtail on the driver fender well behind the airbox. It gets rid of all the nannies so there’s no need to pull fuses.

Question about the vacuum tube from the 10 speed tranny, where is it attached to the intake, the info I get is the Cobra Jet only works with a standard shift not the 10 speed auto. Thanks

Palm beach could do it yes, but we did this one. There are a few components to making a cobra jet setup work, it just depends on what your goal is with it.

At what rpm did HP peak? Was it rolling over at 8k?

It was still climbing slightly. It could rev to 9000 all day and still not lose much if any power

Hey so mustangs have an advanced trac off option. Hold the traction control button until you see it pop up in the dash. You shouldn’t have that issue anymore. Also what mood do you have the car in when you do a pull?

when on the dyno they will not always allow the tcs to fully disable with just the button regardless of how long you hold it since it sees such a significant error in the wheel speed. Removal of the fuse is a very common practice on the 2015+ mustangs. they dyno in 7th gear generally. 6th in some cases

@@Taylordtuning you’re correct about holding the button. But for future easy and simplicity to disable traction control 100% on 2015+ 5.0 mustangs, there is a connector right beside the air filter. Unplug that and you’re good. Don’t have to worry about remembering what fuse or looking it up in the manual.

Because too many ppl are stuck on peak rwhp numbers. Oh for a little more I can get 650 whp with a lazy low boost blower setup on 93. They're too concentrated on that peak number. This thing is 525 whp na on e85 its gonna feel alot more alive and eager and overall be as quick as many 600+ rwhp boosted cars and prob gap a few for less money. Idk why more ppl don't do this setup its alot cheaper than boost and it just sets you up better for boost down the road if you decide to run it later. Everyone is fixated on peak rwhp numbers and not the overall powerband and overall driving experience as a whole.

Customer have to do anything special to get the 137 to work on the car? I know the 18+ stuff has different electronics and VMP doesn't really list the 137 as made to work with the 18+ stuff on their website

For that amount of money in the setup it’s border line super charger money. Is it really worth it at the end of the day to drop 5k into that? I mean that’s great power for N/A but after the full CJ setup and cams your 5k if not over with proper tune

It’s definitely not cheap but some people just enjoy NA builds. Now days your gonna be sitting at $8-12k to properly supercharge one with the correct exhaust and fuel system upgrades and all.

Stage 1 SC setup doesn’t cost much more. On 93 without adding a fuel system (on 18+ Coyotes) you’re looking at around 650 wheel. The CJ and monoblade are what confuses me the most on 18+ setups. The monoblades are notorious for drivability issues for anything other than max effort pulls, and running it over 8 grand to reach those hp levels isn’t going to help that motor’s longevity any. If the car is streeted regularly, boost makes more sense financially, for durability and drivability.

@@brillowolf with good tuning you alleviate those drivabity issues like we did on the above car. It’s just a preference thing really. Some people just prefer it over boost for various reasons. All of the above mods just help the car if/when he does boost it as well and NA is always more reliable than a boosted car.

Obviously you had to lower the motor to fit that Cobra Jet ... I am thinking of doing the same. Though I hear putting the Cobra jet intake into a GT350 yields an additional 500 RWHP.

Header and intake car on e won't touch this setup I don't care what the dyno says lol. All dynos are different some read high (most of the ones you see 500 on with just bolt ons and e are high reading dynos ecspecially an auto car making that). A cammed cj car would donky stomp an Intake header e only car if both are running the auto.

@@Taylordtuning people put too much stock into peak dyno numbers and don't understand power curves and area under the curve etc. Way too many people don't understand this and they also think all dynos are magically the same...like it some dude with intake header and e made 500 to the tire on x dyno and you are sitting at 520-530 range with the same car plus cj and cams that means you're barely gonna pull on the other car or whatever. Those who understand power curves, area under the curve as well as average power know that peak hp number is just one small part of a big picture and quite frankly too many people focus on it. There's so much more to it. This thing would absolutely yank a bolt on car I'd love to see it race an intake header and e car just so I can watch myself be right lol

Don’t worry. On my Gen one I did many high rpm pulls and never had issues with anything. Drove it hard up to 40k miles before I traded up for manual 2014.

@@07slowbalt It’s high and I wouldn’t revv it that high all the time. 7800rpms is probably the highest Id currently do until i get more mods to make it breath better. Oil pump gears should be good also as long as you aren’t bouncing off the revv limiter.

@@JBWHITEGT if your running stock oil pump gears then your definitely asking for trouble lol. Theres a reason why alot of folks throw in billet gears. I mean i dream my 2018 5.0 in my truck wouldnt be limited to 5750 rpms but hey i like my warranty.

500wheel through a stick is deceiving. Now 500plus wheel through a big stalled th400 with 410 gears is impressive. This car would only make around 420wheel with a big stalled th400, but be faster than it is at 500wheel with a stick.

@@Taylordtuning Not bad then. But a th400 eats more than 6r80. Whats stall? Good power all motor. Probably a mid 10sec car i would think. What rpm does power kick in. I am guess power band starts around 4500rpm to 8500. Usually high revving motors( 7500 plus) suffer bottom end loss of power. Still this is impressive for a 6r80 all motor. Guessing you run a 3500 stall? What gears in this car. What's quarter mile time?

All motor is bad fcking ass. This is an easy 10sec street car. Is this e85. Guessing the power band is 4500-8500.

32v V8's don't make enough power to justify the huge $$ and the mustang V8 is NOT E85 compatible. Only E0-E15. Sure one could run E-40 for awhile but not long before engine troubles begin and dealers can tell by the simple smell of the exhaust that your running corn. Not good for your powrtrain warranty. The F150 engine is a derivative of mostly the old 5.0/4.9 Crown Vic motor with a few upgrades and it retains the Crown Vic's flex fuel capabilities. I was really thinking of a new GT500 but with Dodge Demon matching weight (when the Demon is in drag config), and 58 less hp (Demon in showroom street config is 808 hp), it's obvious it's not going to be as quick as the mighty demon and rightfully so, as demon was built as a 1)4 race car, not a GT. What's sad though is all these guys pushing 150-240 hp more in their GT509's, than a demon and being prepped for 1/4 and barely matching a demons 9.6 sec time, Then I considered a new Mach until I saw it and realized it was a sad attempt, and nothing more than a parts-bin 5.0, 4000 lbs, slower from 0-60 and 0-100 than a base 5.0 (due to all the weight), and handles not much better, I couldn't decide what to buy. So on a recommendation from a close friend I tried a 2020 SS A10 (it's a 10R90), it's a very different trans, it has launch control, it's much more refined too vs the 5.0 10R80. The Camaro is getting lighter while mustang gets FATTER every replacement cycle. What's also sad is how engineers have no imagination anymore, making all Ford's look like parts bin vehicles from a mix of hyundai, kia, subaru and GMC, or the Ranger is a copy of the GMC Canyon/Chevy Colorado. Ford's bowing to communist cyna and it's sad. Spelled that country that way on purp.. So moral is spend 20-25k+ on an NA 5.0 and run low 10's at 133 or spend 8-13k on a boosted application that is 300-400 lbs lighter than a demon, 200-300 hp more than a demon and run similar mid 9's to a demon. Dodge and Chevy are where it's at.especially with their model's. Ford could at least do a light weight LX 5.0 re-run with 480 hp/440 tq, 18x9" wheels front and rear on sticky summer rubber and add 3 31 gears back to the auto like it was an option from 2012-2017, and a 32k price point. Like Chevys base Camaro LT1 V8, $1500 below base 1SS.
