Despite having seen him in a few previous videos, I honestly didn’t know quite how strong Robin was until watching his flash go on this boulder. The way he hit that first dyno…Jesus, man.
Nikken's a monster! He took those beautiful, comforting downclimbing jugs and turned them into something hard?! 😂 this might be my favorite boulder that I've seen Nikken set! Great video!
May I introduce? Nikken, genius at work. Ecstatic is the perfect word for everything that's going on here. Eric, that video kept me on the edge of my seat, pressing rewind again and again ;) Robin's performance was so impressive👌.
I think this is one of the funniest and best climbing videos I've ever watched🤣🤣🤣 An absolute masterpiece of success, satisfaction, pain, pettiness, and sufferng
Such a sick concept! Love the creativity of pinching the jugs and really trying to force folks to utilize the dualtex! A master route setter for sure :)
Wow, forever impressed by Nikken. His creativity is mind-blowing. I wouldn't be able to link even one move on most of what he builds, but if I ventured to their gym, I would definitely try anyway!
AMAZING video! One of my favorite I'd say actually. Loving the idea, the execution, having Nikken in the video, having many people trying afterwards, not too long, not too short etc etc. I however have a technical question, not trying to be picky on the video title, isn't an upside down jug not a jug anymore, but an undercling? I really don't know as.. a crimp can also be an undercling, so is it just an "undrcling jug"!? I guess I'm just a bit confused ahah
Holy shit homies! As always epic fucking set by Nikken and a killer video from you Eric!👏👏 Man I want to climb with you guys so bad! You gotta come to the states! 👊👽
just a crazy video, the build-up to setting the boulder and then actually completing it with his (nikken) beta and then kid crusher just smashes first move and then a flash by Robin to top it off.
Its funny cos Ive heard most US climbers say their dream grade is V10 and europeans say that their dream is 8A. Like it actually has nothing to do with the grade itself its just that its a nice round number lmao.
Yeah they should just acknowledged 7B+ as V9 instead of also V8. 7A = V6, 7A+ = V7, 7B = V8, 7B+ = V8, 7C = V9, 7C+ = V10. Every time a + gives a V grade except 7B+, stupid! 8A would be V12...Lovely sounding.
@@MythAvatar To be fair, 7B and 7B+ feel awfuly similar, definetely feel less different tham any other + difference. For me, getting from 7B to 7B+ was like a one day process while getting from 7A+ to 7B took a fucking year 🏉
@@alexbarcovsky4319 I expect that's because you didn't have what you needed to get from 7A+ to 7B whereas when you had what you needed for 7B you then had 7B+ too. Personally 7A+ to 7B took as long as 7A to 7A+ but 7B to 7B+ took much longer. Swings and roundabouts.
I've never seen such fancy downclimbing jugs... I thought by the title of this video it was a downclimb boulder, set only with jugs, at a grade of 8A. And I was thinking, RIP shoulders.
I knew that's gonna happen (robin send), you just have to take the underclings the time enough to quickly move your feet up to avoid the no text pinches
@@Drinkyoghurt Its possible to "force" a figure 4. At least in my definition a move is forced if it's considerable easier with the indendet beta and the beta break feels atleast a grade harder. But you can't force it with jugs because you need a hold that you can't match and a hold where you need extreme precision as a target hold
Did Robin just walk up those pinches like a ladder? it kinda breaks your mind when you see someone struggle like crazy on something and then someone else just walks in and cruise through it.. Nikken makes it look like an 8C and Robin makes it look like a 6A
