God knows I'm not a good Jew, at least not with commitment of the Orthodox which is very admirable, just not for me. But these Guys along with so many Benny Friedman, Simcha Leiner I've recently discovered and its brought the meaning and feeling that goes along with being a Jew. Would LOVE to meet some of these talanted artists one day. Until then, I'll keep downloading music. Thanks guys and please keep up the good work! It's inspirational to me so Thank You All and Shalom Respectfully, David B.
By the way it's a VERY musical family. The 2 men are brothers, and their mother is sister to Rabbi Manis Friedman, and Avraham Friex, who shortened his stage name. And Rabbi Manis is said to be the most popular Rabbi on you tube
Exactly I find it hard to understand the Old Testament because I learn everything through the right brain. I am a tactile person who loves movement. When I need to connect to the sacred I go out in nature. I think of the Hebrew Goddess of love as well. I also find sitting down to prayer does not work for me. I use dance like motions to express gratitude and to request what I want. It is about doing what works for you. It is also based on evidence based practice and applying to yourself.
In the Chabad philosophy of these guys, there are no 'bad' Jews as such. Stop in at a Chabad house some time! There's no judgements or pressures or expectations. Just a home for every Jew regardless of affiliation or observance. The Rebbe decided that just as the Austrian dictator sought out every Jew in Hate, that his movement would seek out every Jew in Love. And you won't get asked to pay a nickel for seat for the High Holidays. Rosh Hashana coming up... 🙃
R. Mendel of Kotzk used to say: "I have not succeeded in teaching my disciples never to sin, and only to perform good deeds. However, I have managed to make them different from other people. Most perform their good deeds in public and their transgressions in private, but my Hassidim perform their transgressions in public and their good deeds in private." _(Touching Heaven, Touching Earth,_ compiled by Rabbi Shmuel Avidor Hacohen)

@Wandmaye Slupik It’s not the village. They are reminiscing about a shetl in Europe Hence the line “ no train back to Krentiz” This is filmed in Brooklyn Not far from where I live Brooklyn in New York City

Oh, this is so wonderful... I grew up on the corner of Carroll & Albany... miss my home in Crown Heights! My path has been twisty, but I am working my way back to my upbringing
I love this song. Make think of my late mother, she was raised as an Anglican, but as a tiny child in the 1940s she remembered being taken to a Synagogue In Manchester, England, by an old man but when she mentioned it later on in life, she was told she was dreaming. There were no Jews in the English side of my family apparently but my Mum asked a lot of questions over the years & it seems that things were “forgotten” and hidden away because of the way the world was at the time. Sad. I am a Hindu, my mum married a man from India, but we have always been drawn to the “Forgotten” side of our family heritage. 😢😢
8thDayBand 😁 I work with the Jewish community here in Brighton, UK, funnily enough, I work in anti-racism, I am on good terms with the Rabbis in the local synagogues, had some interesting talks about Judaism being matriarchal, and Hinduism being patriarchal! Lol
@@RosusaMansuran do u know R Lewis? He was my next door neighbor growing up. Do you light candles before Shabbat? A very special way for Jewish women to connect to Hashem Ask his wife Shternie, for details, Moshiach now!
My shtetl is the Robert Crown Center in Evanston, Illinois!!!! Wonderful figure skating coaches Adam Beebe, ice dance coach Michael Schlautman, hockey legend Clifford Wells, the "historian" and ballbuster Ron Lopez, .....Mr. KLETZMER turned skate guard Steve, the list of stars goes on!!!!!
I love this video, although I don’t understand what they are singing, but I can feel it’s good. I just love the Jewish culture, amazing people. Thanks for sharing

The Hebrew word atzeret is generally translated as "assembly", but shares a linguistic root with the word atzor, meaning "stop" or "tarry". Shemini Atzeret is characterized as a day when the people of Yisharal "tarries" to spend an additional day with Yahuah Alahim at the end of Sukoth & Thus Forever on the renewed arets & shamayim!
