I know I’m not the person you’re asking, but I can tell you. What probably happened is the ceramic filter on the circuit board went bad. Those can be replaced (you could do it yourself or have someone else repair it; I know of someone by the name of Weather Radio Guru, and he’s got a well known radio repairing/modding business), and that should fix the tuner.
