9 Bad Ignition Coil Symptoms

Lots of possible causes but generally coils should be changed around the 200,000 km mark. My coils in my 2002 Rav4 lasted to around 274,000 km before giving me problems such as stalling and poor acceleration. Engine light will also start to flash intermittently and engine will cough and sputter like it is on the verge of stalling. I had NGK Iridium plus in the Rav4 at the time and the removed the plugs to check how they were. Spark plugs were 100% fine so I just replaced the EGR valve, PCV valve, MAF sensor, and car battery, and the Rav4 runs like new again. Total cost was about $220.00 and did everything without the need for an OBD II reader either. Engine light (due to a bad O2 sensor) is still on but Rav4 runs perfectly fine. I only have the 2.0 engine in my Rav4 but the Rav4 is nice b/c gas mileage is great and the Rav4 is also AWD which is nice for the winters here in Canada. Engine and drive train are relatively easy to work on as well and Rav4's computer system is only moderate in complexity what it does.

If i have PO350 what can be the cause and what can be done?

At the end he states that driving with a fail ignition coil can cause engine damage, but he doesn't go on and tell us what damage it can cause. So, tell us what happens when the fuel is not ignited in the cylinder, does it delute the oil in the crankcase? If it just gets blown out though the exhaust valve, does it damage the exhaust valve? The 02 sensors? The catyliic converter? My truck only had 20K miles on it, but because of a medical emergency I drove 600 miles with one out, it was under warranty, dealer changed it and cleared the code. Gave me the truck back, drives fine. I bought a OBD code reader, no codes. Any thoughts on damages done?
