Today : It is fall in Ohio. Next Week : It is winter in Ohio. THE FREEZING-NESS IS COMING. 😩 On a happy note, the line patterns look so relaxing. The cartoon people are so cute! 😊
Mini CookieSwirlC I thought this when I started mine but I started to realise that mine was to practice. If you want to have every page perfect maybe have two one for practice and one for perfect. Hope this helps 😁
I glue the pages together bye bye you never happened and then I can use things that bleed more ori do a collage page on it and use my markers with it xx
So basically... •Collect things then draw them (leaves and things) •Practice shading with gradients •Line Patterns (do lines and make deatails and shapes to make them look nice) •Make cartoon people (draw whatever i want e.g people around you and stuff) •Pick and animal you like and draw it (the simpler the better) then add small deatails around it (its easy) • Make a galaxy (easier with watercolor) • If you make a mistake and cant rub it out on a page then add some colour and maybe cutouts of magazines to cover it and fill the page • Blob patterns (make random blobs around the page with different colours then add patterns inside like dots and stuff) • Write your name/a random word in bubble writing and draw patterns inside it then u can decorate the page That took me 15mins and 37secs (that vid is that long) So ya thank me later! ❤☺❤ Edit: OMG 83 LIKES Edit2: 100+ likes :O
So I came up with ideas that fill up my sketchbook, and one of them is to make different kinds of mandalas (Cause I know how to) with different limitations. Like single shape mandalas, black and white only, two colour challenge, three colour challenge, etcet. So I made a title page, yesterday, from where I wanted the mandala section to begin, and I wrote out "mandala" and did the same thing inside the word, that you did inside your name, although it's a different font, so it was only partially tangled. My other idea is to split the page into puzzle piece shaped sections, and draw things that will help me improve my muscle memory. I'll do zentangle, or shade them, or even write a bunch of the same letter, in different fonts. So each "piece" will be a different letter, written in many fonts!
My weather: Ok so at 1:00 you will need your rain coats At 4:00 you will need your swimming shorts At 8:00 your gonna want your snow boats xD And thats why i dont go outside....thats why i have a sketchbook... xD
"Everybody loves a good galaxy, right?" ... YES! ❤ May I ask which pencils and pens you're using in exercise 1 to 3? I looked up your art supply list below but didn't find them ... As someone who has zero confidence, I always look for easy but pretty ideas to draw, so this helps a lot, thank you! The blob pattern idea is great. I DID see blob ideas before, shaping things out of them, but yours is even easier to make.
OMG, those cartoon people were so ridiculously cute. I can't even!!!!! Please, consider having these cute cartoon people to your art more often. I think they would. Be a beautiful add to your kinda fantasy kids book drawing style. Really. Not only because I'd love to see them again, but you know, that would be nice too. Hahahah
Jaime Peralta go down to A.C. Moore or Micheal’s. They have cheap, good quality sketchbooks and pricy, more-than-perfect quality sketchbooks. I like to use Premire By Nicole. They are like $5 to around $9. I would grab a couple. Have fun on your art adventure
Wow- Ik I’m rlly rlly late to comment but- THIS RLLY HELPS! I mean I needed to take a break from big n complicated paintings as I totally forgot what basics of art are and now this rlly helped me to have fun! Not caring bout the none staring lines n all this is awesome!
I love watching art videos while I do other things. This video was actually really amazing. I love the ideas and the artwork! I will have to subscribe! Keep up the awesome work! Also as a fellow Ohioan, The first one wont be used by me until next fall! It feels like winter now in the middle of fall. We are also suppose to be getting snow soon! I guess we have ever single season in one week here. From the hot (not really but for fall), To cold, to snow. Yay..
Has anyone ever used a mixed-media sketchbook for both water color and other mediums too? Does it work well? I want to be able to do basically anything in my sketchbook.😊
I really like some of the ideas you have. I'll definitely check out your ideas videos next time I'm in the mood for doodling. I'm wondering, do you have any ideas on how a beginner would create a zentangle? I've always loved them but felt too intimidated to try drawing them myself.
I would definitely recommend the line patterns at first, or just drawing a small shape like a heart and creating patterns inside! It will get easier! :)
I'm very new at really focusing on art (as an adult... I was pretty into watercolors when I was really young) and this is SO helpful! Most "sketchbook" ideas really are very intimidating and leave me anxious about getting rolling. I don't know why I have felt silly to break out the gel pens and just doodle. I just got some inexpensive water-based dual tipped pens that could be perfect for this sort of thing too. For some reason I end up doing my doodling on individual sheets of paper like my sketchbook is only for actual sketches and 'serious' things. Obviously I need to give myself permission to loosen up. Doing *anything* is better than "saving" my sketchbook for things I won't get to until I get more comfortable. Thank you!
This was sooo helpful!!! Lately I've had art block and can't think of any more ideas, but now I'm soo excited to do all of these in my sketch book, also my water color pad!! 😻😹😸😺🤩😎👌😁😆😂🤣😇🙂🙃😉😍😌😘😜😝🤑🤗🤪🤓🤠
If i do the first one, I'll draw my pet squirrel. Im kidding, i would never take a squirrel from the wild. i just so happen to have a squirrel who built a nest on my porch
Hey Mira! Could you continue this series it’s so inspiring and these ideas got me out of art block. Please continue this sketchbook series it’s my favorite they are so fun.
I was watching this thinking "yep, good tips, but I've heard them before..." And then it got to the blob patterns. THEY ARE SO COOL! I need to try them!
I like the doodles and all but I'm confused on the purpose of "filling your sketchbook". I'm always sad when I finish a sketchbook! I'm just wondering that's all!
Aw, that’s kinda good to be sad to fill it. It sounds like it means a lot to you! I think filling it is just a big accomplishment for a lot of people, because sometimes it’s hard to fill them (anxiety, lack of confidence, no time, no inspiration, etc). Anyway, super cool you care so much about yours. Love that.
@@MiraByler Thank you for getting back to me so quickly and I can see that as something that might make someone proud! Now I get it! I love your channel!
By the way - I've never heard of - or done tip 8 - the patterns you filled with dots, scribbles, etc - the Pattern at first reminded me of stone work - I will be trying tip 8 - thank you 😊🌺🌺
I love your videos and i`m definitely trying the galaxy bubble because i think that would look really cool in my gcse art book. See my commitment to art is killing me lol
I love your sketchbook videos. I try at least one technique with every video I watch. You are so talented and inspiring. Thank you. More sketchbook videos please!
