You have no idea what you're talking about. There are actually many "alien" species in the Dune universe. Apparently the 'creator' of this video hasn't read the books either, as the face-dancers are actually a specialized type of ghola, NOT a race of their own. ALIEN species: Salusan Bulls, Laza Tigers, Pantherfish, fur-whales, Cielago "dist-trans" bats, Elecran, Bjondax Whales, Gaze hounds and many, MANY more.

@@southpole76 Where does it say they are? Sandworms are absolutely indigenous, as are the Bjondax fur-whales. Chairdogs and Harmonthep lions, and D-Wolves are the only ones CLAIMED as genetically engineered or bred for traits. Try reading, and you'll see, I'm correct. Beyond that, nothing is owed to you or anyone else as far as proof, READ.

Doesn't make them monsters, though. The rise of oxygen-producing organisms killed a lot of the previous inhabitants of our world, yet they aren't monsters for existing. They simply are and their existence drives the ecology of the planets they inhabit like any organism. Just moreso because of how behemothic sandworms are.@@carlosandleon

Gave birth to 40k! I should edit this. Well it gave a ton of influence for sure. Amongst other sci fis. I cannot wait for the sequel. The remake to me was a masterpiece and I honestly couldn't tell you why. Just something sucked me into it, and ever since I started dying it is hard for me to watch anything in one go. Remember watching it fully in the hospital on my phone. Might try to go see it in theaters since I haven't been to one in half a decade.

Yeah dune is literally the most advanced scifi empire by far It has zero technological constraints i can identify,name it they have outdone it. The plot is All about removing the mental chains holding it back. The guild has used ancient fear of ai to control travel , information and even technological development The sisterhood has lost itself in its plans within plans and has also created a biological weapon so dangerous it takes the emergence of the worst tyrant in history to stop it The ixians and tleilaxu cannot innovate because they are under the emperors thumb with the rest of humanity who fear them agreeing with the stupid controls The emperor mantains authority by humanity being literally addicted to spice Other than that a small band of members of any sect would beat the snot out of literally any other scifi universe much more a major house which likely commands several StarWars class galaxies The explosive potential is hinted on , The honored matres threaten all life just by misusing just one sister hood tool. The jedi of starwars are the only ones who would survive utter ownage but eventually they too would get pinned The tleilaxu would copy them and then create several planets worth of force sensitive face dancers Apart from telekinesis the sisters are actually superior to jedi In dune , wars are waged across the entire known universe which includes sub dimensions. The main problem is how to find each other in the infinite universe. A small threat in dune is too heavy for other sci-fi universes to handle This is why the God emperor was so evil , to manage to squeeze and predate on such a massive empire is something that humanity as a whole would never forget or fail to respond to for all eternity, they all swore to never be subject to a single addiction and squeeze point 😂😂

Was quickly seen to fully understand human speech, when the Bene Gesserit witch uses the voice on it. Made more evident by the look on Piter face, when he sees that it does understand them. Hinting at the fact it's not only a extremely expensive "pet" to show off the Barons wealth, but a spy for the Tleilaxu.

It's a very loose fan based theory, that goes off misinterpreted speech.

They were around in the original 3 books. They were always seen as vile and taboo, even before the tanks are revealed to be women, which if memory serves me was in Heretics, however even after this revelation working with them was seen as a necessary evil as the BJ had a disdain for both the practice and the Tleilax themselves but tolerated both out of desperation.

If having a minor character gender swapped was the price that needed to be payed for this film to be made, iam happy that they payed it.

@@origami83 I wouldn't call Kynes a "minor" character, but then one would need to read the books to realize that. I would also point out that it was unnecessary. Why pay a price and receive nothing? Aside from virtue signaling, it was pointless to mess with it.

@@RedneckRepairs I read the books multiple times and he is indeed a minor character. It was unnecessary i agree and i hate it but it didnt affect the movie much imo. It could have been much worse if for example Paul was race or gender swapped. By paying the price i mean the movie got made in the end without suffering 2 much from the woke lunatics. @@origami83 I would have to disagree that Kynes was a minor character, any more than the Emperor was a minor character, or Chani, or any of the others...not even Duncan Idaho was minor. Part of what offends me is that there was a total disregard for the universe as it is laid out in the books. There was a clear Patriarchy (which was actually only imagined by the men, as the Bene Gesserit were the silent power behind literally everything). If you read closely, there were virtually no women in charge of anything. There's no chance that a woman would have been the "Imperial Planetologist" for Dune..a world nearly as (or more) important than Kaitain, due to the spice. It's about equal to rewriting the legend of the Amazons as having a male king. Part of the story is lost by randomly gender swapping what I consider to be a pivotal role. The whole premise of the power structure of Dune is that the men hold the positions, but the Sisterhood, behind the curtain, is pulling all the strings (save perhaps what power, however marginal it turns out to be, that the navigators hold). Insofar as race is concerned, It couldn't matter less..and insofar as race of the Zensunni Fremen goes, one would assume middle-eastern, but black, or some mixture would work well...Kynes never has his race declared, so he can be just about anything but an elephant and get by fine. His gender however is kind of key...the forced mother/daughter nonsense that was inserted was imposed to placate someone, but I can't imagine who? Apparently just to irritate me apparently LOL, but I knew immediately I was never going to see it. So far, the Syfy channel's adaptation was the most true to the books..infinitely better than the original movie, which was clearly written by someone who had never read the book, at all. The followup "Children of Dune" wasn't a disappointment at all either, and thankfully I have those on DVD.
