@SheaWhitney What suggestions do you have to make sure that items you buy actually are the right size/ fit you well, so you don't need to return things? 🤔IF Thred Up even does returns! I don't know my sizes anymore. Sometimes I'll be a medium, others a XS (which I'm definitely not). Thank you.

@@lindajohnson4676 good question, I have returned so many clothes from Amazon using their size charts, even other sites its so hard for me to find proper fitting clothes ....out of 11 (im looking at my returns) 7 I sent back

ThredUP is not an ethical company. They pay sellers literally pennies on the dollar for brand name clothes and turn around and sell them for a huge profit. Or some of the things you send in were “lost” so you never get paid for those either. You should look up reviews on them. I will never buy or sell to this company again. I would not support this company.

It’s a cool color so grey or navy would be 500% better! Or coral, for a super bright contrasted look. Tan *really* doesn’t work.

I love multiple or chunky necklaces. You’re right - this isn’t about “mistakes.” It’s all about preferences.

It didn’t look good with that boatneck neckline. I’d wear with a v neck or a scoop so the necklaces to pile up on the shirt

I know-I have three purses-a large tote style purse, a medium most often used purse & a small crossbody purse for when I don’t want to sit my purse down.

That's very practical and smart. It will save you from the clutter many end up with..

Those wide legs are way too casual for the loafers and even more mismatched with the heels. The look for the pants is cool and breezy…wear sandals, strappy sandals, or a pair of sneakers.

@@had123ish Yes now that you say it that way I agree. I knew something was wrong. I still feel like a platform sandal of light color is better than something to light weight though. I’m not crazy about the whole wide leg thing might as well wear a dress

⁠@@Jen39xIf the wide leg pants had a different waist, like a more structured traditional non-elastic waist, the pump might fly, but it’s just to casual. I love linen pants in summer, but they require casual footwear. Thanks for your input.

when is it OK to wear a chunkier shoe with wide leg pants? Shoukd i just go for less chunk? In the 90s i rocked wide legs with docs or chunky boots. It's not working in 2024 😕

I was going to say the same thing. I think chunky shoes with wide legs look cool, medium/ average shoes look fine, but the little pointy ones that practically disappear look funny to me.

I hate leggings but the flared leg yoga pants aren’t nearly as bad. I had a few pairs back in the early 2000’s that were pretty decent and didn’t look like you have given up.

Leggings are not pants. I'll die on that mountain 😂😅

In the 80's we thought the same thing about stirrup pants. 🤷‍♀️

The prices are crazy and they barely give you anything when you send good brand, new, quality stuff, they’re a total rip off.

If threadup is having a sale, the prices become much better. I wouldn't shop them without an additional discount

I agree so much!!! Recently at the Dr’s office with my young adult daughter, I saw a young new mum, the baby was very obviously newborn, and the mum had exercise shorts on, the Lycra ones with the roushing that emphasis’ the butt. Now she was genetically blessed she had no post pregnancy baby lumps or bumps but it still looked wrong. And she also had a full face of makeup and a perfect hair style so I’m coming down on a new mum who had to chuck on the nearest thing and her baby to the hospital. It was a very obvious style choice. And then this week my daughter and I saw another young woman wearing a very pale colour long leggings again with the roushed butt and she also had the actual butt to fill them out. But as I watched her walk away I wondered if someone had videoed each of them walking from behind would they really still think they were the perfect outfit for anywhere other than the gym or at home? Especially the beige ones that make people double take because at first it looks like they are naked!! As I said to my daughter that of course people should wear what they like were they want to but I also think that what anyone sees of themselves in the mirror at home compared to what everyone else is seeing in 3D are often giving off two very different views and I really do wonder if they saw themselves on camera from the same view point that we all see would they still say that was the look they were going for? And if it is the look all power to them. For me personally I have always thought that leaving a little bit to the imagination is far more sexy than putting it all out there on public display. As a side note, thankfully my daughter who has “all the right junk in all the right places” has the same view point. She said to me “well you don’t have to worry about me going out in public like that cause I can’t even bear the thought of wearing them to the gym and having everyone looking at my butt!!” 😊
