I’m a bogey golfer. I wish I could play this well in real life! Scoring on the simulator is much easier in my opinion. Simply because you always have a good lie on a flat surface. The “penalty” in sim golf is with distance only. The “penalty” in real life golf might be an uphill lie, downhill lie, sand, or stances that aren’t level. Or all the above at once! The great thing about sim golf is that it keeps you swinging in the off season.
Do you play with the oscillating fan on behind you at all? I'm considering getting the R10 but am reading that fans interfere with the radar. It seems like if the fan is in view of the radar that it can interfere, but i haven't seen it confirmed that just airflow from a fan like that would interfere also? I had planned on having fans behind the unit but if even just a massive amount of airflow throws off the radar then I'm going to struggle using the R10 in my garage...
Yes, if the fan is on, there is interference and the shots don’t register. It doesn’t really matter where in the garage it’s positioned or where it’s pointed, if it’s on in the room you’ll get interference. I don’t think it has to do with the airflow because wind doesn’t affect it outside.
@@mikewilliams3376 thank you for your reply. I've read others have had luck by building a "faraday cage" around things causing interference. I was hoping to cage in the fans and hope for the best but if you're saying it doesn't matter where the fan is then I might need another idea to help keep my garage cool in these florida summer months...ughh
@@thundervex84 Yeah, I don’t use the garage for this in the summer as it’ll be terribly hot. Needing a fan on may mean you’ll have to consider a skytrak or other optical launch monitor. Good luck!
The ceiling is about 11 feet, but the track for the garage door is a bit below that. I’ve wrapped the mounting bracket in foam, just in case, but have never hit it.
