It's really interesting to hear the old 1 minute left song when the one we have now is still used in the current games, and I hope it's still used in Splatoon 4. Rip Splatoon 1, you will be missed.
I thought the same! I'm a Splatoon fan since Day 1 and looking at this is like looking at a partially different game than what we got. No idols, the last minute song is something I have never heard of. Then you also got points for splatting enemies and these points charged up your ult. Also when you were splatted you lost points, so the points were not always just meant to show how many color coverage you have done like it has been in the final version
I agree, I can see the winning team getting splatted with its respective ink color coming from the ceiling, just like Nickelodeon does it with the slime.
That second match really shows you how simply rushing into the enemy's half of the stage does not mean you are winning the match. The blue team just went around them.
@@phenwolfacnlYet it still proves true in the present day. One or two enemy teammates can sneak behind everyone when no one's looking and ink your base
Too bad most of the BGM from E3 2014 never made it to the Splatune Original Soundtrack. I would've jammed to this song nonstop. If you have guys haven't noticed. The first tutorial track is different from the original. The waiting lobby music is the same. The opening to turf war is different. The battle music for this is different as well. (I actually would like to hear the turf war version of Inkoming!) The last minute music is different. The winning music is the same. The losing music is different as well. I wish they put most of this BGM on the Splatune CD. :(
@@hazeldayzz Based on my own findings there's a lot of music tracks from Splatoon that are lost media. Seaskape actually had a demo version that was not added and much of the other tracks of E3 Splatoon were recorded horribly.
Yeah, it's funny that I've never felt this excited to get a console as I was back in SEGA's glorious days. I've never been a Nintendo fan, but I admire that they keep the true essence of videogames alive, and I'll finally buy a console from them
One could hope they release it. They did release the battle theme in the Splatune soundtrack. Perhaps the beta "Now or Never" will see a release at some point. Though there has to be enough demand. Only very few are aware Now or Never sounded very different in the E3 2014 demo.
I think the only way that'll happen is if somebody gets their hands on this specific build of the game, which wouldn't only be super interesting but it's probably near impossible at this point in time.
why are people saying the wii u isn't as good as ps4/xbone? these graphics look just as great! They've made so much effort with the enviroment details and character models and hopefully this could become a new big franchise!
I don't have a PS4 and I love Nintendo and while the graphics on Splatoon look good, it still isn't as great as PS4 but at least nintendo is killing it with the Nintendo Switch!
yeah same honestly, it looks like it has so much potential to be a huge game, maybe even get a 2nd one on a different console that has detachable controllers.
Nah, this seems like a game that will lead to nowhere. If I want to play a shooter I’ll just play Black Ops 3!Nintendo should just stick with Mario and Zelda.
I had my doubts when I saw this game at E3 2014 but, wow, this will be so much fun. Love the transitions to being a squid and going through the ink. Pretty clever Nintendo! Get a bunch of people and have some fun with this 3rd person shooter - well, inker
Interesting things I've noticed different opening theme The 'bunny hop' losing animation is way more exaggerated with the movements compared to final slightly different losing/lobby themes different leaderboard system nearby super jumps also marking the player whos being super jumped to (would've made hiding harder than it already is) points being loss upon death oh and the obvious now or never and splattack diffrence.
I remember disliking this game back when it was revealed in 2014 Now with the 3rd installment in the series buying a switch just to play Splatoon 3 seems like a good choice, how times change
Yeah they do, in the E3 digital event when they were showing this off you see characters with a paint roller, grenades, a bazooka like gun and a sniper.
They should of kept the rank after the match too see if you got first or last 1player 2player 3player 4player 5player 6 player 7 player 8 player 9 player
Free 2 Play with Free Online can't hold itself unless there's microtransactions, and Nintendo doesn't support that. Full game will be both digital and retail and will have campaign modes for single-player as well.
You should go ask Ubisoft why they so far have failed to release Ghost Recon Online. Remember that? That was the first ever shooter announced for Wii U over three years ago, and it was probably going to be the first free to play game for the console as well. Just like it is in the form of Ghost Recon Phantoms on PC. A PC version of the game that was supposedly holding up the Wii U version that has been finished for almost a year now.
That fact that it says turf war before the match starts suggests that there will be multiple game modes. Likely some designed for local multiplayer, and maybe even offline single player.
Hmm...didn't Nintendo once say that they wanted to have some games where there are two game pads involved? In this game it could be one gamepad as the map, and another as the controller?
