One of my buddies said the same thing about road presence, "only car guys are going to know what it is, everyone else will think it's just a loud Mustang". I had a '66 Cobra replica before this and I can honestly say, I get more looks, honks, people driving deliberately in my blind spot, and people revving at me in my magnetic GT350 than I ever had in my candy apple red Cobra. People know it's different. The GT350 is not just a car, it's a refined track machine that sounds like nothing else on the road. Love the Lightning Blue, stay safe!
I had a Jaguar F-Type SVR for the last year before switching over to a 18' GT350 (same spec as yours) this week. Yes the Jag was an amazing experience and got a lot of attention but it also wasn't a very recognizable car. I can already tell I'll likely have more people actually talking to me about the GT350. People can tell it's not just a mustang unless they just don't pay any attention to cars at all. The 350 gets attention from the people you want to get attention from. It's an all-around addicting driving experience.
@@johns.774 I traded my GT 350 for a Charger Hellcat in 2019 because the GT 350 value was dropping fast. But I do miss it. I will buy another one someday. Before the Charger image it use to be my GT 350 and that's when I made that comment.
I just "accidentally" bought a 2017 GT350 & didn't do much homework but feel like I hit the jackpot. Just now figuring out what an awesome car I have & absolutely love it. I live in the N GA mountains with fresh paved twisty roads everywhere & the car is a blast to drive around turns!
The Ford Mustang brand is such a great phenomenon and the Shelby GT350 takes it to an entirely different league. I am going to purchase a 2017 Shelby GT350 hopefully in the summer and I cannot wait. I am so excited!
Funny you mentioned the GT4 in this video. I owned one for about a year before getting my GT350, and you’d be surprised how close they are in a lot of ways. The Porsche is lighter and more nimble but the value for money with the mustang is actually pretty incredible. I was surprised how good of a job they did with the GT350s handling and balance, the front end feels really nimble which is very surprising compared to the other cars in the mustang lineup.
Common misconception that the headers have a major influence on the exhaust sound (making it not sound like a Ferrari). There is much more to it than that. The crank is entirely different. The GT350 crank is an up-down-up-down. This is a first in terms of a FPC V8. With this, the firing order is very unique. It essentially fires from rear to front on the cylinders, it doesn't jump around like most V8s, FPC or otherwise. Even with long tubes, and straight pipes it will never sound like a Ferrari. Just figured I'd mention since this misconception keeps floating around. :)
Actually.....it's a combination of reasons why this wont sound just like a ferrari, but if you look at obsessed garage's full exhaust system he installed, it really does start to sound like an exotic.....especially on approach at high RPMs. Check it out.
I own a 2017 challenger SRT 392 with a manuel. I love the style, sound, interior, feel of it. Not one thing I dislike. But this GT350 is the only car I would of got if I could afford it. The engine is the best NA v8 for sale right now (although the 392 is the most powerfull torque wise). It sounds epic. I never drove one but it seems really good. It looks better than a camaro. Its engine once again is better than a camaro/corvette (LT1). The value is great and depreciation does not exist. I would love my next car to be a red shelby GT350 :)
The best reason to buy a 350 is because you're a driver and track days are part of of your leisure time activity. Car shows are for the "hey look at me" crowd.

I drove mine daily for a few months. It is very livable as a daily, with one annoyance (I found). It tram lines horribly due to wide front tires. Need to always be on your toes if roads not smooth. Again...minor in grand scheme of what is a wonderful car.
Considering 13/14 gt500, or 16/17 gt350. Something about the 350 gets me really excited although I prefer the older body style of the previous generation gt500. Also looks like a blower and tune turn the 350 into an absolute monster.
#7. The car is drop dead gorgeous, lower, wider, meaner, and a hood that's a work of art in itself. In person, next to a GT, which is a fine looking car in it's own right, it readily distinguishes itself from the Mustang. I don't think that anyone buys a GT350 for prestige though, they buy it for the supernatural performance.
Great points and it is all you said it is but to the people who bought mustangs like me in 1988, 1990, 1993 and 2005 we see a price tag of $70,000 and look inside and see the cheap gray plastic and realise it is very over priced. Looks good and sounds good but its not a Ferrari. The Shelby 500 at $120,000 is absurd. Congrats on your mustang enjoy.

I love Mustangs, I don't care what anyone says unless they want to make my payments, I bought mine for what I think, not some asshole that tries to make you feel bad about Mustangs. Beautiful car, the exhaust note of a Mustang at any rpm is therapeutic.

I have that same car. Lighting blue with white strips. Love the car. Love the Recaro seats now that I fixed them to fit in them better. Just hit 1000 miles. Awesome sound too.
There is only one reason why I like this car so much... and that is the way it sounds! Too bad that the GT350 5.2 isn't on sale in Europe, only the Ecoboost 2.3 and GT 5.0. :-(
First time I saw one in person at the dealership I was blown away. Such a small car for being a muscle car! I would forsure own one as I fell in love with it at first sight. And this is coming from a guy that owns a turbo Honda civic
I think another way to say reason #9 is that every car person, whether they would buy it or not, is just plain happy that the gt350 exists and that people own it. It's one of those things that everybody that knows cars, respects. The car only exists for the fun of the driver.
it really does look fucking cool. The design details, the stance, everything just looks better than just about anything out there right now. It's a bad ass, real car of substance. Not a posermobile.
Brandon, what type of blue is your GT350? I'm on the marker for a 2019 and I'm leaning toward the Kona blue with white stripe, but yours looks a bit lighter than that. Looks amazing but it might be a blue that is no longer available.
i been on the fence bout getting one of these for a while, but a lighting blue one just like urs drove by me today and I think ima have 2 have one. I normally wanted something thats super low slung and these are kinda big tall, but it looks sooo good on the road, and the fact that u can stuff someone in the back seat in a pinch when the need arises had got me thinkin i want one.
I currently own a 2012 Mustang GT Premium 6 spd coupe w/ only 8k miles, always garaged in excellent cond. As I bought new SUV this year I'm still a year or two away from replacing current Mustang. But a lightly used GT350 is at the top of my list, or a lightly used Camaro ZL1.
Brandon I am real concerned about oil usage problems. I have the means and own a Vette. I always loved my 2011 Mustang GT. Just a nice overall car. I imagine the GT350 is awesome
Traded in our 15 GTPP for a 18 350 on 8/31. Got the owners kit a week and a half later. I got the coffee table book and not the lithographs. Seems they vary for every model year. Kinda makes it unique I guess...I want those lithographs though, lol.
New to your channel. Been shopping for a 350 for over a year and almost purchased one at MSRP, but it had some damage and about 300 miles. I suspect the general manager or owner had driven it. Now, I can find any 17's and I doubt I will find an 18 at anytime soon.
This car and the cayman gt4 are my dream cars at the moment. Cant afford either one though sadly. Love everything about them especially that they only come manual
Anyone that says it doesn't have the road presence to justify the price isn't a Mustang guy. This car is marketed toward the Mustang enthusiast not the casual.
I honestly think it’s one of the best looking cars out there period. Even a regular mustang with 20inch rims look bad ass. I don’t care that they’re common. They’re common for a reason. That never bothered me. I think it’s striking as fuck. Very racy. Very bad ass. There s not much out there like it The design details are really cool. Every inch of it is perfect

I think so because they wouldn’t do mr Shelby like that and the old school gt350. Exoticars19 yea the body style changed for 2018 and they still produced the gt350 with the same body style. Iv been looking to find something where Ford has said weather or not they will continue to produce the gt350 and iv found articles saying that the flat plain will be be produced for another 2 years to meet demand. Just cant find anything where ford confirms this. I know that ford has stated that motor is exclusive to the gt350 and wont be used an another model. Can you tell me where to find ford saying they will stop production after 2018? Just want to know because i want to purchase one but im serving overseas right now and wont be back state side till late 2018.
Anthony Ortiz ford never confirmed that the gt350s will stop production after 2018 but there is a rumor about the GT500s returning next year but nothing has been confirmed yet
Jasmine Jnad yea I’m just hoping they produce both.. id still like to get the gt350 even if they do bring the 500 back. Just dont want to buy preowned. Im sure the gt500 will be more of a high horsepower straight line car.

It is a nice looking Mustang but I think it's funny you call a 5.2 litre engine big displacement. That's about 320 cubic inches. My 1969 Mach1 had 428 cu. That's 7 litres. Nothing ever beat me in street racing. I like that they have gone back to pretty much the original shspe of the Mustang but have done a lot for the handling. Take good care of it.
Get the 2020! My GT350 was special ordered from a guy who got his lemoned, but couldn't wait for new one. I checked dealer inventory and there it was, just waiting for me!
I found a used 2018 lead foot gray with 6k miles. Bought it yesterday. It’s so beautiful. Can’t stop looking at it in garage. Looking at some older videos here.
