As I live in St Albans I can confirm that all of this is very true. There are a lot of markets and it’s very easy to get to from London as they have a train station just outside of the City’s Central.

Great. I live in Australia now - I used to live in the flats through the gates opposite the Fighting Cock pub. I was very lucky to live there- bottom of the hill under a fantastic cathedral and with a lake and park as my back garden.
Wow they've put up a new building over the hypocaust and mosaics! I was brought up in Potters Bar and would often take the bus to St.Albans to soak up the history and spiritual aspects of the place!Glad you like it too 👍
