My favorite 90's board game was Hero Quest. I was so addicted to that one. And X-men Monopoly. I also enjoy Stratego, even though that's an older game. Cheers brother!
I thought of two that may or may not be on here. Wasn't sure what all would be considered a board game. Crossfire was one of them. That song was great, especially at the end. Connect 4 was the other one I thought about and that song is stuck in my head. Knew of all of these growing up, but only played a couple throughout my life. Didn't play Dream Phone until I was in my 20s and played it with my wife. I think I only ever played Operation as well. Maybe Guess Who or Perfection. I completely forgot about Splat! until I saw this. Even though it wasn't a board game, the Skip-It commercial was catchy.
Oh man I was gonna put connect 4 on here but I totally forgot once I had finished filming DX also Don't Wake Daddy was another from Parker Brothers that I always remembered
I definitely remember these hilarious commercials, but I've only ever played Operation, sadly. I do know Crossfire goes for some coin. I always try to check the board games when I'm out thrifting, but I wouldn't have many friends to sit down and play them with. I have found some card games I've picked...haven't played them, either
Board games require multiple people so nowadays it's hard for anyone to do that unless it's a roleplaying game. Which in sure people do over discord for like D&D
Perfection and Operation are the reasons why I anxiety lmao. As for all the other ones I literally played every boardgame(and yes, Dream Phone haha, but with my cousin cuz she didn't have many friends to play with) but haven't played CrossFire. Wish I had!
Would totally call up some cute boys with you. You're OUR dream phone. We have Splat--and have played it and legit sang the song while playing. That damn Perfection game...it's great to test to see if you're prone to heart attacks. We need a Retro Refresh Guess Who game. Crossfire--oh damn, that song gets stuck in our head--AND we sing it when playing that one too. lol We sent one to GOtG--tell them to send it to you as you'd appreciate it more.
Lol I was hoping you were going to include Crossfire. CROSSFIYAHHHHHHH!!!! Two more that popped into my head while watching this were Hungry Hungry Hippos and Mr. Bucket (if that even qualifies). All of these jingles are buried deep down in the cerebellum forever. Yikes….
My parents never got us Mouse Trap as kids so I bought it for my son. I hate HATE it 😂 Like you said, “it’s all about the mouse trap” I felt the same way about Operation My FAVORITE board game as a kid was Nightmare. There weren’t any snowflakes in the 80’s and 90’s. my parents were just happy if we were being quiet and leaving them alone. 😂😂😂
Shit used to be so weird and wacky in the 80s and 90s and everything now is clean, sterile and so boring haha look at Nintendo from the 90s and then look at them now. Used to be weird and original and now they are like the Apple of video games lol
