The item you pointed to was not a pick up coil, you pointed at the ignition module.

In the cap, the corrosion can be chipped off with a screwdriver or knife tip, in a pinch, it can get you down the road,

Stick to GM ignition parts

First thing you check is to make sure it's ACDelco stuff

With the vortec 4.3, the wires into the coil are made too short and break. Tug and if the wire stretches its broken. May start when cold but as plastic warms up and stretched, it dies
