In this video we dive deep into the charging system on my 1992 XJ600 Seca II.
Charging system specs - varies by year and location:
Stator coil resistance @20 degrees C: 0.32-0.48 ohms (US+UK models from '92-'95)
Stator coil resistance @20 degrees C: 0.24-0.36 ohms ('96 onward in UK)
nominal charging voltage @ 5k rpm: 14.0 volts (pre '96)
Charging voltage with no load @5k rpm: 14.3-15.3 volts (pre'96)
nominal charging voltage @ 5k rpm: 14.9 volts ( '96 onward UK only)
